Altimeter Watch is designed to take advantage of the GPS in your Apple Watch Series 2 or 3. It provides you with a graph of your altitude history. There is an included complication that will periodically update to show your most recent altitude. Altimeter Watch also includes oxygen monitoring features! The real-time altimeter display on the watch will now show you how thin the air is, as a percentage of the oxygen available in the air at sea-level. There is also an oxygen percentage history graph, to visualize how much oxygen you've had available in the recent past. This oxygen percentage will also show up in some complications. When recording a Workout, the Altimeter Watch app will stay in the foreground, and show your altitude history every time you raise your wrist. When Workout Mode is stopped, your workout can (optionally) be saved to Apple Health. Using Workout Mode decreases battery life, please only use it when you need detailed altitude data. The app also includes a companion iPhone app that allows you to inspect the data points collected by the Apple Watch in detail. Altimeter Watch only works with Apple Watches that are equipped with built-in GPS. This app does not work with Apple Watch Series 0, or 1. It also does not work with iPads. But it won’t work as a complication on the watch face on an Apple 4. This needs an update! Have to give it 2 stars because it should have been updated as a watch face complication on Apple’s latest watch. ### 3/5 — Altimeter on watch *2018-10-30* Continuously appears unasked for. Drains battery. Accurate enough for general purposes. ### 1/5 — Broken Watch App and crazy battery consumption *2018-08-30* This app drained 59 percent of my battery using GPS over just 9 hours. And the watch face always is forced to be displayed even if app is closed. The watch app is laggy and slow when there is no good reason for this. Also the paid purchases do not remove the ads, buggy misleading application. One star - I believe the other reviews are fake **Developer response:** Hey CraneDomain, sorry you had a bad experience! Thank you for the feedback. For me, this app works best if you set it up as a complication at this point. Eventually, the app will stop persistently sitting on the foreground of your watch. It seems to be a bug with watchOS for apps that use the GPS in the background. I am unable to control it, last I checked. Once it calms down on the foregrounding, the battery usage reduces too in my experience. I have a Series 3 LTE, and my battery will last about two days, when I use this app as a complication. There are no ads in this app, other than my request for your in app purchase on the oxygen history screen, so perhaps you got that confused with another app? Anyways, I hope Apple allows me to have better control in upcoming watchOS releases, so I can give everyone a better experience! I will try to find some time to improve this app for the upcoming ski season, which is the time of year that I use it the most! Hope I can earn more than 1 star from you in the future! 😁 ### 1/5 — Fake Reviews Probably *2018-04-13* Not a good app. Inaccurate and you have to pay for everything. One of the review says the developer answers questions quickly, but there are no questions. Don’t get. **Developer response:** Hey CreeperTechHQ, thank you for the feedback. The only thing that is paid in this app are the oxygen percentage features, you do not need to pay to see your current altitude or your altitude history. If you're trying to use it without an Apple Watch, then it currently won't work, perhaps this is what you're experiencing? I would like to support using this app without an Apple Watch in the next release. Hopefully I'll make a new release before the ski season! The questions that I answered quickly were sent via email, that's why you don't see them. ### 5/5 — Best Altimeter App our there! *2018-03-23* Hands down this is the best Altimeter app for the Apple Watch. Has great complications for all Watch faces and has an update time on the display as well. I have tried every other one in the App Store and this is the best you can get.
