I need to be able to pause/mute and resume with a button press on Bluetooth headphones. Crashes instead of pause/muting. I have to open the app and restart the radio while sitting through a 30 second add every time. This app is plugged on air all the time and it doesn’t work. Will have to pay $12 a month to listen to the playoffs on a better app. As per usual thanks for nothing Kronkie sports. ### 1/5 — Fix it! *2024-04-09, version 8.17.5* I HAVE to listen to PHD as it is the best radio program in Colorado. But the app crashes every two minutes. I’ve never left a review on an app before but this one is bad enough that I felt compelled. I really want to be able to listen to the Nuggets and avalanche games but this app is the worst. I want to support the station and the people who work there but how can I with this kind of quality? Please start over and try harder. ### 1/5 — Zero stars if it was an option *2023-10-13* This app is terrible. As an example, The Fan’s app loads quickly and never disconnects. They have pretty bad shows. The exact opposite is true of this app and station. I timed it this morning, and it took 30 seconds to load. It drops the connection several times daily, and you go through the same loading time, if not worse. Hire the programmer who did The Fan’s app and start over. Sheesh ### 1/5 — Deleting this app *2021-11-15, version 6.20.0* Can’t listen to local games, just get nation Fox shows instead of Nuggets or Avs ### 1/5 — Lag is bad *2021-10-09, version 6.20.0* Using an iPhone 13 pro on my Wi-Fi and the app trips over itself on the audio. Audio skips every 10 sec or so. Use the website instead, that will buffer properly and has no issues. ### 1/5 — Really bad app, needs radio *2019-05-08, version 6.8.1* This app could be fantastic if you could listen to the radio station. Instead they have options for an alarm clock, weather info, Twitter links, Facebook, and a bunch of other needless stuff other apps already do. Anyone downloading this app wants it for one thing to listen to the radio. Always a long add then constant buffering and shut downs. If you try to put the app on in the background it shuts off. This could be great if it were a radio app but it’s not, this app is a horrible attempt of trying to do way to much and not doing the one thing it’s meant to do. Please change this, I would love to be able to listen to Nuggets and Ave’s games when I don’t have access to watch them. Unfortunately this app is so bad I watch the ESPN Gamecast in silence because it’s a better presentation of the game. It feels like the app has a broken leg that is in an Air-cast. ### 1/5 — Forever buffer, inconsistent background play *2019-05-02, version 6.8.1* This app reloads every time you switch to it. Then, takes forever to buffer (has a setting for low buffer, doesn’t help) then starts playing. Only problem is I can’t let the phone turn off or switch to another app or playback stops. Useless for an audio app ### 1/5 — Content good. App not *2019-04-16, version 6.8.1* App constantly stops working while trying to listen. Have to always close and restart the feed multiple times. ### 1/5 — Plays audio ads on top of the stream *2019-03-07, version 6.8.1* Not sure whose brilliant idea it was to play audio ads on top of an audio stream (that already has its own ads) but it’s made this app useless. Otherwise, it’s just “connecting” perpetually. ### 1/5 — No more downloads *2025-09-03, version 8.30.51* Before the newest update, I had to put my phone in airplane mode to listen to downloaded podcasts. This was due to my reception going in and out on my drive home. Now the downloads don’t play at all. Please fix this issue. ### 1/5 — Not great *2025-08-29, version 8.30.51* When you pause a podcast it just goes to the live broadcast, if you get a call on the phone it will just start the live broadcast right away and then you have to sit through the ads after you go back to the podcast, very annoying. So many ads. Came over when Dmac and Polumbus left the other station and I have to be honest, their app is far and away better than Altitude. Hopefully they can fix this app. ### 1/5 — Bad *2025-05-19, version 8.17.5* This app is terrible. You have to listen to a minute of ads to start the stream, then the app is constantly freezing and restarting and then you have to listen to the ads again. Moving from wifi to cell? Ads. Pause the app for a minute? Ads. Headphones come unplugged? Ads. ### 1/5 — Works about half of the time *2025-05-10, version 8.17.5* App crashes more than it works. The adds will come on over the audio. Lazy developers ### 1/5 — Terrible App *2025-03-06, version 8.17.5* The app constantly has to be restarted whenever my phone transfers from WiFi to cell signal. It also has to be restarted whenever I get a phone call. This is incredibly frustrating. It forces me to listen to the podcasts through Apple instead of listening to the live radio. When I listen to the podcasts I skip the ads so your live radio advertisers are losing out when I stop listening to the live broadcast. Your advertisers should pull their funding until you fix the app. ### 1/5 — Ads on top of ads on top of ads *2024-10-12, version 8.17.5* Start with an ad salad at the beginning of the podcast. Here comes the soup of ads a la radio recording. The main dish of actual show with app ads every, what?, 5 or so minutes. Finish with an aperitif of ads at the end of an episode. Chef’s kiss. ### 1/5 — Like eating advertisements *2024-10-04, version 8.17.5* This app has advertisements on top of the ones already on the radio, plus video ads, and misleading buttons that take you to their sponsors. With all this combined, the app runs so poorly that you’ll be lucky to even click the play button successfully. I would rather stand on my roof with my radio held above my head to pick up the signal itself. ### 1/5 — Poorly made and frustrating interface *2024-05-18, version 8.17.5* The app only plays a stream for a few minutes before it crashes and goes back to the Home Screen. Once there it is impossible to navigate back (especially if you’re driving). I just wanted to listen to the game, but no dice. Loading the app launches ads and navigating away from them to the actual radio station was very difficult. I deleted the app after the second crash back to home. Pretty much useless ## Most praised reviews (9 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Would recommend *2022-05-31, version 8.1.0* Not sure what the one star is about, this is great; everything it promises; literally just the radio station ### 4/5 — Radio Stream Cuts Out *2019-03-02, version 6.8.1* The stream of the radio broadcast keeps cutting out after about 5 mins. Then you get to reopen, listen to the ads again, and listen for a few more minutes. ### 4/5 — Updated and better but still needs more *2019-02-26, version 6.8.1* Good updates here but I'm still overwhelmed a bit by the social media. The podcasting section is unreal though! So cool I can listen to any segment at any time. Plus having the ability to switch seamlessly now between 92.5 and 950 is a big plus. Now they seem to both have an endless “connecting” issue and never get to the live broadcast. I listen while I work since it’s the only way I can keep up on games during my shifts. ### 2/5 — I constantly have to restart app *2025-07-31, version 8.17.5* I have to constantly restart the app because the audio will simply cut out. It’s frustrating because I will be sure that I’m off wifi while using it and I will be in an area with full 5G bars and it will suddenly stop playing audio. It looks slick, but it doesn’t always stream which is highly frustrating. I will say that when it does work, the audio is nearly in synch with what I hear on the radio (which is quite impressive). ### 2/5 — Great station, app crashes *2023-11-21, version 8.8.0* Please fix this app. I love this station but I can’t get it to stream longer than 5 mins without it crashing! ### 2/5 — Too glitchy *2023-05-16, version 8.8.0* Never loads up in a timely fashion, then glitches out so you have to keep trying…..but once it’s there it’s ok!, I guess…. ### 2/5 — Timer issues *2022-06-30, version 8.1.0* I turn on the app to listen to game but it tells me that I have 3 hours left. I have no idea what that means. I thought the app was free. ### 2/5 — About as cheap an app as it gets *2021-12-13, version 6.20.0* New problem: the app tells me my connection is bad… with full WI-FI in my home, and 5G cell service. Haven’t got to listen in a week, deleted the app and reinstalled… still can’t. Old problems: constantly cuts out for 10-20sec once each day often multiple times.
