The rides are always 20-30 minutes away from airport pickups - what’s worse is on too many occasions their driver’s get confused finding the ride share pickup and have to loop around the airport causing further delays. If you want to get picked up at point A and make multiple stops, and then get dropped off back in spot A it will stop and end the trip as soon as you get picked. This is so short sided. When I tried to use Alto to get a ride for him at 3p, I was repeatedly unable to do so—because the app kept telling me, sorry “it’s busy. There are no cars available.” At 3pm on a Tuesday?!? Tried about 4 times before I gave up. Immediate delete on this stupid app, and then I was left scrambling to find a ride home for my son. Forget this app; Alto is 2.5x more expensive than other more commonly known ride services, and you can’t even count on there being a car. 1 star all day. ### 1/5 — BAD MORALS *2024-08-09, version 2.72.0* DON’T BE A FOOL FOR THIS COMPANY. Super dependable, cars are clean and uniformly spacious, drivers are courteous and helpful! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Overpriced with lower end service and driver quality *2026-08-03, version 2.73.0* Multiple drivers appear to be from 3rd world countries that repeatedly ignore user preferences and comments on my appearances that’s inaccurate , unnecessary and unprofessional. This is worse than uber , because I never had one driver made the same comments the same way like Alto’s driver. Their lack of public rating system and unable to unpair with certain driver only enable this behavior more and more. There is no quality control and clear punishment system. ### 1/5 — Trying to schedule work for alto *2026-07-03, version 2.73.0* Completely garbage nobody ever tells us when the schedule comes out I hardly ever get any days a week because of this trash company never telling there drivers when the schedule is supposed to come out sometimes it’s between 10 and 11 sometimes it’s 6 sometimes it’s around 9:30 I’m not spending my whole damn day on the website looking for when the damn schedule comes out DO BETTER ALTO ### 1/5 — Service is fine, but when this app is down…🙄 *2026-06-12, version 2.73.0* There is really no way to get support when the app isn’t working. Change it back and I’ll change my review. ### 1/5 — Price gouging, non-existent customer service *2026-03-13, version 2.73.0* Raised price on me by $20 extra when I scheduled my ride for 40 min later because no rides were currently available. I unknowingly booked the ride without noticing the upcharge. So for the inconvenience of waiting almost an extra hour I was actually charged significantly more. Customer service refuses to call back despite multiple attempts made to reach out to them. ### 1/5 — Over Priced *2026-01-26, version 2.73.0* I needed a ride from dallas airport. I downloaded and signed into the app to find that it was 175$ (with $20 off my first ride) to my house in richardson (25 minutes away) ### 1/5 — Useless when there are no cars *2026-01-04, version 2.73.0* This is the most frenetic app ever. Searching the same route 3 times in 10 minutes results in wildly different “estimated” fares every time with no indication what the total will be. But worse than that, once you confirm the ride you find out there are no cars available. I just downloaded the app and was trying to see its features but according to my banking account, I was charged $12 membership. Another predatory business that benefits from our out lack of time and attention to read the fine print before downloading or creating an account. Avoid. ### 1/5 — Given Up on Alto *2024-11-11, version 2.73.0* I have truly tried to be a user of Alto. But the website is so misleading! I received an offer for $10 off of a ride. But, on their website, I can figure out how to use the $10 coupon. This has happened on many occasions. It’s quite obvious that Alto doesn’t want you to use their coupon.
