### 4/5 — Galactica and Toxicator

*2026-05-28, version 701*

Been going here for a few years but I only have a few faults, 1 Galactica does not fit in with nemesis and Toxicator, 2 Toxicator got me sick and gave me a headache,3 Ride availability, there are lots of rides closed whenever I go.

### 5/5 — I love this app!

*2026-04-14, version 701*

It’s really useful to me, helping me know my way around and knowing the ride queue times is very good! It is also just fun to explore it too. Haha 🖤💛

### 5/5 — Nice app

*2026-04-10, version 5.14.17*

A very reliable and simple app. I love it how it gives your location when your inside the park and shows you the duration of walk time to get to your next ride. The map is detailed to a lot of respect and very much realistic. Buying tickets is nice and in general I love this app and will use for years to come

### 4/5 — cool

### 4/5 — Nice app

*2026-04-05, version 5.14.17*

But the internet is a bit glitchy near Fobidden valley so you won’t be able to access the pp in that area

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2026-03-25, version 5.14.16*

Every time I try and add my booking it says “search failed”

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not accessible friendly

*2026-07-17*

The park has lots of amazing rides and beautiful surroundings. However the park is not accessible friendly at all. I use a mobility scooter and to access rides I had to leave my mobility scooter and then walk to the ride rather than at other parks enter at the exit. Half of the rides had stairs to walk to get to the ride rather than being able to go from the scooter onto the ride. Flamingo land do it this way and it means that you can get on a ride without having to walk. After the ride you exit and have to then walk back to the entrance which is a distance from the exit. This made the visit really difficult and disappointing. The access pass was not easy either, having to scan to go on a ride but then wait for nearly an hour to get on another making it a long day of waiting which is something that is hard to do and also frustrating for my neurodivergent child who has major issues with times and having to wait so again this was our first and likely last visit unless the access to rides is changed and the pass.

### 1/5 — App not working how it should.

*2026-07-15, version 703*

I downloaded the app so all my information was together (staying in the hotel, two day tickets for the park, two dinner reservations and additional add on) and kept telling me that the search for all my details has failed. None of my info went onto the app, which meant I had to print everything off. Tried everything to actually talk to someone about it and had no luck and the live chat didn’t help at all. The app is brilliant for knowing the queue times but could be so much better.

### 1/5 — Too much walking

*2026-07-13, version 703*

Me and my friends went to Alton towers for a day trip with school, but I was quite dissatisfied with the amount of walking and we only got two rides as all of them had very long queues

### 1/5 — Downloading tickets

*2026-06-26, version 703*

Used a few time and always had trouble downloading tickets/ hotel bookings to app. ‘Code Not recognised etc’. Although not essential, it is annoying when this service is apparently available

### 1/5 — Unreliable

*2026-06-14, version 703*

Does not work effectively or efficiently has loads of bugs. Feel it needs updating and bug fixing. Kept crashing.

### 1/5 — Does not open

*2026-06-03, version 702*

Tried to open it multiple times, everytime I try it starts to open then instantly crashes. Tried redownloading, turning off the phone etc. nothing works, disappointing when you’re sent a text urging you to download it by the hotel before a stay.

### 1/5 — Downloaded 3rd June 2026

*2026-06-03, version 702*

Doesn’t work, app will not open

### 1/5 — ?

*2026-05-10, version 701*

Smiler was shut

### 1/5 — Warren

*2026-05-02, version 701*

Been trying for weeks now to add my booking and tickets to the app and it’s still not working…have contacted customer service several times and they can do nothing.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2026-04-11, version 701*

Doesn’t recognise booking confirmation number, making it pointless

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — The BEST resort ever.

*2026-07-26, version 703*

I’ve been to Alton towers a few times, and all of those times I’ve walked out smiling. My top 3 rollercoasters would be smiler, nemesis and galactica, I definitely recommend visiting!

### 5/5 — Review of app, not the Park. Some small probs you should know of, but pretty overall.

*2026-07-22*

The App is good! The map is easy to navigate and the search function returns good results. The on-foot navigation works, but occasionally I found slightly shorter routes. It might be something to do with it consistently placing me 5-10 meters to the left of me IRL, so it though I was consistently either swimming in water, or clambering through trees to get where I was going! This kind of thing makes a difference when you consider you could easily walk 6 miles in the day.

The ride info is slow to update - which is a problem, as you will dash across the park for a ride that is in fact closed (a common problem for Alton).

You also can’t pay in-app with APL or GLG Pay which is shortsighted of Merlin as it adds a hurdle to potential customers. Paying the long way round does function just fine though.

If you do buy tickets/passes on there, they should add to the app seamlessly, and you can also add tickets retrospectively if you have your email and transaction number, which is useful.

### 5/5 — Fun but scary

*2026-07-14, version 703*

It was verrry fun however very scary

### 5/5 — Amazing park

*2026-07-11, version 703*

I did galatica then oblivion helps with smiler if you want a thriller and an amazing time with friends GO!

### 5/5 — Outstanding theme park

*2026-06-30, version 703*

I went today with my family and had the best day ever and can’t wait to visit again in the future. There are some brilliant thrill seeker rides which get your heart racing and scary but that’s part of the fun. There is something there for all ages which is good. The only downside is the price for drinks and food there is which is really expensive because £5 for a bottle of water when it’s a hot day and it’s summer time is really steep.

### 5/5 — rides

*2026-05-29, version 701*

amazing theme park over all and amazing food and support of the staff

### 5/5 — Best app and place ever

*2026-05-29, version 701*

Best app and place ever

### 5/5 — Very accurate

*2026-05-27, version 701*

The app tells you a lot about when the rides open and the ride and has very accurate changes

### 5/5 — Very accurate 🎀

*2026-05-17, version 701*

Went to Alton towers yesterday and this app was so helpful I don’t know what I would of done without it. It doesn’t only give you cue times but it gives you directions and how long it takes you to get to each ride and im very satisfied honestly couldn’t be any better 🫶🎀

### 5/5 — I love Alton towers

*2026-05-16, version 701*

It was sooooooo good today was the first day I had been in yearrrrs wicker man was the first ride I went on and it was so good I loved the ascetic of it and the little video thing at the start and I also loved 13 and the fact that you drop down because I feel like nowadays all rollercoasters are just generic but the drop adds soo much to it and makes it som much different from the rest
👍
