## What is AltPass?

AltPass is a local-first password manager. Your vault is a single encrypted KDBX file that lives in YOUR cloud (OneDrive) or on your device — there are no AltPass servers, no accounts to create, and no telemetry.

Everything happens on your device: your master password never leaves it, and encryption and matching run locally.

No account. No tracking. No ads. The developer never sees your data — the optional sync talks directly to your own cloud storage.
