The autopay does NOT WORK, but they flagged my account as past due anyway, DROPPING MY SCORE BY 34 POINTS. On top of that, the UI is garbage, you can’t save passwords or use your password keychain to open the app, and on top of all of that, I haven’t seen a SINGLE improvement to my score before the “late payment” Trash app, no support, don’t bother. Just get a secured credit card or use an app like Self (that actually works) ### 1/5 — Needs a lot of work and may be doing more damage than good *2022-05-26, version 2.9.2* I haven’t been able to view my dashboard since I downloaded the app. It’s just a blank screen. So idk how much of a balance I owe with Altro, if anything is being paid. I can’t pay online because they’re only on the app. The don’t have customer support. This could potentially hitting my credit as negative remarks/late payment/no payments. ### 1/5 — This crossover has been bull *2022-05-04, version 2.9.1* Since perch has moved to altro, I still have not been able to get my card. It loads fully on the bar and the page just stays there. Now I have had to update my subscriptions using my debit card because I was notified of payments failing. I deleted/reinstalled app, logged in and out, even done the recent update in App Store and still nothing. It takes forever to get a reply back from the company and I know the $75 needed in my bank account is not an issue. This company/app is just a pain. I’ll just stick to traditional credit building. ### 1/5 — Not impressed *2022-04-26, version 2.9.0* Altro ,formerly known as Perch, has been a huge let down so far to the point where I don’t feel comfortable being part of their start up journey. 1st of all it took nearly a full year after I signed up to finally be able to join my cohort. Now they want me to put $73 minimum on a prepaid card just for my paying subscriptions… I don’t even have $73 in subscriptions per month so why would I dump more money into this service than necessary? I find this rule to be exclusionary and suspicious. I wholeheartedly recommend using steady instead to direct you to credit building sources that actually work and reward you without unnecessary fees or stipulations. ### 1/5 — Not worth it *2022-04-15, version 2.9.0* I saw an ad like 2 years ago for perch that it would help you fix your credit by you paying your bills and subscriptions. Well they give you a subscription card with $75 on to pay for your subscriptions and try out new subscriptions but the card doesn’t work. I’m unable to pay or try any new subscriptions because the company’s doesn’t allow pre-paid cards. So what’s this app and card really good for? And you email customer service and it takes all day to go back and forth with no direct answers to your questions. ### 1/5 — Not what was marketed *2022-04-06, version 2.8.0* I’ll be honest the only reason I got the app was because Jay-Z got behind you guys lol. But I waited for nearly a year for my cohort to start just for you guys to send some generic message about no more waitlists and a product that isn’t ready in my state 🤦🏿‍♂️in the message you call it Perch but you have clearly rebranded to Alto and Im not even sure if this is the same company or if im apart of some number collection scam . Disappointed, annoyed, and deleting this app ### 1/5 — App Is Broken *2022-04-04, version 2.8.0* The app is completely broken. Keeps asking me to accept the terms of the credit line although I've already accepted multiple times, and had the option to add subscriptions, but now I can no longer add subscriptions. No longer responds when accepting the terms. You can't actually scroll the window showing the PDF of the terms. The app settings shows there is an option for FaceID but the setting doesn't actually exist. I realize the service was likely just acquired by a larger company or investors, but the service is non-functional. **Developer response:** I’m sorry to hear about your frustrating experience with the sign up process. Feel free to check us out at https://www.altro.io ### 1/5 — Ineffective *2022-04-04, version 2.8.0* Waited several months on the waitlist and when it was finally approved I couldn’t login after even resetting my password twice and it didn’t even say the passwords wrong it just wouldn’t load the next page from login screen. To think all this time later and I still can’t even login to the app. Customer service responded for a day after I sent them screenshots and descriptions but went silent and unresponsive shortly after. ### 1/5 — REVISITED What happened to my rent reporting? Oh ya, they just deleted it without notice. *2022-03-30, version 2.7.8* NEW ADDITION: This app is absolutely terrible. Don’t waste your time. I’d been having problems with it, and now today, it has just completely deleted my account and I have to now “join a new cohort”. Terrible management and customer service. I’m so disappointed. Again, don’t waste your time with this app. OLD COMMENT: I’ve used this app and it’s helped me, but once I moved and changed addresses, it “closed” my account and my credit score went down 90 points. Then I reentered my new lease agreement and info to get it back on track, been waiting weeks while it’s in review, then tried to log on today to check the status and the rent reporting option is completely gone and the “subscription card” is the only thing available. Then of course when I try to link my bank account to set up the subscription card, it won’t work. Tried contacting support, no one is available. I’m really disappointed because I really enjoyed this app, but seems like it’s becoming very buggy and not useful. First my bank account unlinked, then my account reporting my rent automatically closed on my credit report reducing my credit age and dropping my score haven’t been able to make any payments now here my balance is $60 on my subscriptions card and it’s prompting me to get a whole new card which I can’t to bc I still can’t link my bank account and I still owe a balance that I can’t pay ! Customer support has been no help either not responding for week or when they do respond they are all “having their team look into it” all the while my credit scores are at risk of dropping more and more bc it’s going to look as if I’m missing payments !! THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!! Not to mention all my subscriptions are on this one card that I will have to change now !
