As far as their app goes? It sucks. The worst banking app I’ve ever used. The purpose of apps is convenience and it is insanely INCONVENIENT how I have to login EVERY. SINGLE. TIME I open the app. It freezes and when I transfer funds… just all around bad. ### 1/5 — Can’t Zelle or transfer money *2025-09-03, version 4018.0.0* There’s no option to Zelle or transfer money, my money is just stuck in my checking account and I need to pay my rent ### 1/5 — Zelle isn’t working *2025-05-10, version 4017.0.0* I can’t even pay my rent I’m at risk of eviction cuz of this bug that the app has. Completely useless when you have to enter all these credentials every single time you want to do banking ### 4/5 — Just missing one thing… *2024-11-13, version 4014.1.3* Add pending payments to activity section in app. ### 2/5 — Heavy-Handed Security Impedes Use *2024-09-12, version 4014.1.3* There needs to be a time out override so the cosumer can keep the program from logging off for up to 30 minutes. I can’t be distracted by the overzealous security features when I’m trying to balance my checkbook. Also, when it does time out, you can’t just log back in. You’ve got to go thorugh multiple steps to quit the application in multi-tasking (which a lot of users don’t know how to do) only then can you use auto-sign-in using the devices biometrics. Vendors want us to use complicated passwords with special characters, etc. but users cannot type these in on a touch screen device. You have to go track down a bluetooth keyboard, spend 20 minutes paring it, then type it in with all of the lower, upper, numeric and special characters. Well, at least they don’t use that gawdawful Captcha. ### 2/5 — Horrible app *2024-08-22, version 4014.0.0* Altura‘s mobile app has always been subpar. Always difficult to log into and often times not even available. Now I want you to refresh a disclosure before logging in but does not allow you a way to do that. I even deleted the app and downloaded it fresh and still would not allow me to log on. Has that I get an error code telling me to refresh the disclosure and then it does not allow me to do that. I’ve been with Altura for many years and the app has always been terrible. ### 3/5 — Color *2024-06-27, version 4013.1.0* The app is fine to use, I have very little to complain about. One thing I would like to see improved is a better distinction between deposits and withdrawals/payments. Perhaps using color to distinguish between the two (green for deposits and red for withdraws/payments). ### 3/5 — All Black Transactions *2023-12-17, version 4011.1.0* It was perfectly fine before the update, I was able to see red color for money going out of the account and green color for money going in. Now doesn’t matter if it’s a withdrawal or deposit it’s all black. It’s a minor detail but it made things easier to look at a glance where my money is going. Please fix this, I’ll rate 5 stars, thank you. ### 1/5 — Alerts Don’t Work *2023-10-19, version 4010.2.1* At least not for direct deposit alerts on iPhones. I use AT&T. I have never received a direct deposit alert… not when I had an iPhone 8, and not now on my iPhone 13. The alert goes off the instant I log onto the app after the deposit has been in place fir who knows how long already. My snapshot balance is never correct, I always have to close the app and reopen it to see my correct balance. And the Zelle feature is the worst!!!!! I enrolled my mobile number and 2 different emails and no one can ever find me on Zelle. We should be able to access through the Zelle app and not the Altura app. Very inconvenient. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Horrible *2026-08-22, version 4022.1.1* By far one of the worst functioning apps I’ve experienced, which is concerning since it’s a banking app. Constantly logging me out where I have to input my password, and even when the password is correct it tells me it’s not (I know this because when this has happened I’ve accessed my account through the desktop website with no problems). Other times I’ll open the app and it does absolutely nothing. No loading, no facial recognition. No login. Nothing. Who built this app??
