## What is AluNet?

AluNet is a social networking app for students and graduates who want to stay connected with the people they've met throughout their academic journey, from high school and university to exchange semesters.

After graduation, friends spread across cities and countries, and staying in touch becomes harder than it should be. AluNet gives your student network a location layer, so you always know where people ended up and when your paths are crossing again.

See where your former classmates, exchange peers, and university friends are based today, organized by country and city, with no live-location tracking, just the city or country people choose to share. Add your upcoming trips and see when people from your network are visiting the same place at the same time. AluNet notifies you when a former classmate will be in your city, so you never miss a chance to meet up. Heading somewhere new? AluNet shows you who you know there and makes it easy to reach out so plans can actually happen.

No feed, no content, no noise. Just your people, where they are, and when you're nearby. Stay connected, wherever life takes you.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.3.4 — 2026-08-09

Bug fixes and improved loading time

### 1.3.3 — 2026-08-06

Now, crossing paths on the Trips page also shows the people living there.

### 1.3.2 — 2026-08-03

Bug fixes and users own icon is now visible in the map

### 1.3.1 — 2026-07-22

Most of the app is new.

Trips now tells you when your dates overlap with someone else's, or when someone's landing in your city — the reunion you'd otherwise have missed by three days. The matching behind it was rewritten from scratch, so it actually catches things.

Onboarding and profiles were rebuilt too. Setting yourself up takes a minute now, and feels less like filing a tax return.

There's a new Activity page for anything waiting on you, search that finds people by name, university or city, and notifications that only turn up when something's genuinely happening.

Chat is faster, the keyboard finally behaves, and the whole app is quicker than it was.

More coming. Tell us what's broken.

### 1.3 — 2026-07-13

Big one this time. We rebuilt the whole profile from scratch.
The star of the show: travel icons that actually move when your people are on the move. Open the app, see who's going somewhere.
Also new: an Activity button, a chat button that finally lives where your thumb expects it, and animations that feel a lot smoother.
And as always performance and security updates.
