## What is ALVAT?

Bored of playing the same old backgammon, over and over?

ALVAT flips the game you know upside down. Same board, same checkers, same dice — but a brand-new way to play.

In ALVAT the board starts completely EMPTY. Your 15 checkers wait on the bar, and you bring them into play with your dice. But here's the twist: you don't hit your opponent — you LOCK them. Land on a lone enemy checker and it's trapped beneath yours. Towers rise, chains form, and every roll becomes a fresh puzzle. The first player to move all 15 checkers across the board and bear them off wins.

It's the strategy of backgammon, reimagined.

WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT
