### 5/5 — Don’t know

*2025-06-04, version 1.7*

I have not been able to upload for days it starts and stops
I’ve tried for hours. I used a apple generated email I’m not sure if I should have done that or if it matters

### 5/5 — Great program

*2025-04-21, version 1.5*

This is a great app! Very easy to use.

### 5/5 — Very Pleased Indeed

*2025-04-04, version 1.5*

I engaged Numbersstation approx. a month ago after a massive hack of multiple devices, including WiFi and camera security devices. It has been comforting having highly technical agents working with us, side by side transcending cyberspace, responding rapidly and offering solutions. I am grateful for the personalized support I have received as my situation is rather unusual. I wish I had had the “Am I Secure?” app running 24/7 a decade ago when I first began to be targeted. The only way to catch these predators and get them to cease their attacks is to take hard evidence to the authorities. Document your every hack folks before you delete and factory reset. Do you not wish to know what hit you? It informs you as to how you shall proceed. Do you need to just change passwords , go to the extent of factory resets or start all over with new technology? It depends on what happed. Install this app BEFORE you get hit again. This is the first review I have felt compelled to write, exactly because of how diligently these folks have been working to take the pressure off of those of us who have been continuously stalked/hunted over years. We need this kind of help.

### 5/5 — Best App on AppStore

*2025-03-13, version 1.5*

I’ve never written a review before but HAD to for this one. Hands-down best security app on the store if not best app period. If you have any concern over your phone’s security this is a must have. Detailed, informative, thorough. Customer service is top notch. You can tell they put their heart into this app. Worth every penny and way more. Honestly can’t believe it’s this cheap to get a forensic analysis. So thankful I found this. Wish I had it years ago. Thank you!!!

### 5/5 — Very detailed test !

*2025-02-07*

I had a weird result and they went above and beyond to explain and investigate it. They really know what they are talking about and I totally trust this app to keep my devices in check

### 5/5 — Well done!

*2025-01-19, version 1.2*

What was otherwise an expensive and tremendously complex process has been simplified here and well worth the subscription.

### 5/5 — Today

*2025-01-06, version 1.2*

Today I sent an email to your site because I was scared that I had been hacked. I received a response with in 30
Minutes and I figured out what to do to scan the phone to assure I was ok. Knowing that if I needed help it would have been provided and that made me stop panicking. Thank you ❤️

### 5/5 — Awesome!! A MUST HAVE!

*2025-01-03, version 1.2*

I was severely hacked. I’ve been hacked before on my iPhones and recently I went through three phones over six phone numbers several emails changing all my passwords and I had no idea that this application even existed. I ended up putting my phone in lockdown mode, and just the fact that this application could check for Pegasus, puts me at ease to know that it help helps. Keep my phone safe. The technical support is amazing. I even emailed them on New Year’s Day and the technical staff got back to me twice. This is a well worth it app and a must have for anyone that wants security, needs security and or both.

### 5/5 — Fantastic App!

*2025-01-03, version 1.2*

This app has completely transformed my digital security experience. This app stands out for its simplicity, making it incredibly easy for anyone to use, regardless of their technical expertise. From the moment I installed it, I was impressed by how intuitive and user friendly the interface is.

The app’s design is clean and modern, with a layout that is both visually appealing and functional. Navigating through the various features is a breeze, thanks to the well-organized menus and clear instructions. It is evident that a lot of thought went into creating an interface that prioritizes user experience.

In terms of usefulness, this app is a powerhouse. It offers a comprehensive suite of tools that cover all aspects of cybersecurity. The app runs seamlessly in the background and I particularly appreciate the detailed reports and alerts that keep me informed about potential threats and how to address them.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2025-01-01, version 1.2*

This app is great. Make sure to read the instructions on how to use it carefully. Once you understand how to use the app it’s very easy.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2024-12-31*

Great instructions app functions well permits much more in depth examination of
The system

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Misleading

*2026-08-09, version 1.9.2*

I wish I could add more about the app’s functionality and security but… Seems more of a “bait and switch” app.

After downloading it says you are allowed one security scan before subscribing which is a wonderful idea. If the 1st scan nets results, for sure I will be a subscribers for years. But…

After getting the ONE required file to enact the scan (one file should equal one scan right?) the app now says you have to subscribe for that feature.

I was hopeful but unfortunately I’ll save my money and move on with life.

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2024-12-25*

I followed the instructions for Advanced Security scan and nothing happens. I tried every instruction to perform certain actions and nothing worked. I canceled my account.

**Developer response:** It can be tricky at first to get iOS to create the system diagnostic file and then access it. Unfortunately we don’t control how this is done, it is part of iOS and not part of our app. There is an alternative method outlined at the end though.

You need to press all three buttons at the same time for around 1 second and then release them all at the same time at which point a screenshot and vibration (or just one of those) will occur. This can be in the app or at the home screen. The screenshot can be safely deleted. Taking a screenshot does not start sysdiagnose but starting sysdiagnose does usually create a screenshot. If the buttons are held too long this brings up the device power off screen. There will be no other indication that it has started.

Ten minutes later the file should appear in Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements > Analytics Data. After going there, search for sys (or scroll down manually) which should show you a file name starting with "sysdiagnose_2024.12.24". Tap the file and then click the share button at the top right corner followed by selecting the Am I Secure? app icon. The first time you do this you might have to scroll to the right through the list of apps and even hit the "More" button with three dots and then scroll down to find our app. Once you get it working that way you can also consider using our shortcut (https://www.numbersstation.app/shortcut) that takes you there quickly, after you create the file using the three button press and waiting ten minutes.

If you don't see the file there, you can try doing the three button press a few times 5 or so seconds apart, to ensure you trigger it so you're not waiting ten minutes just to find out it didn't work. Once you get the hang of it, then only do it once per day since it will generate multiple sysdiagnose files if you do the presses multiple times.

Another way to trigger it is to use the alternative method outlined on this Apple web page: https://it-training.apple.com/tutorials/support/sup075/ See step 2 in section 2, outlining how to use assistive touch.

### 3/5 — I was hopeful

*2025-01-04, version 1.2*

I don’ believe it works.

### 3/5 — Update?

*2024-12-28*

My question is, when are they going to update the app because it is bugging and it has been 4 months since the last update.

**Developer response:** Hi, thank you for your feedback! We are continuously enhancing our security analysis tools, which operate on our servers to scan all submitted sysdiagnose files. These server-side updates allow us to improve our analysis without requiring frequent app updates, which explains the slower pace of visible app updates.

That said, we’re excited to let you know that version 1.3 of the app will be submitted to Apple for App Store review in just a few days. If you’d like early access through TestFlight, we’d be happy to add you as a tester. Please reach out to us at support@numbersstation.app with your Apple Account email address.

Additionally, if you’ve encountered any bugs or concerns, don’t hesitate to email us at support@numbersstation.app. We’re only aware of one issue in version 1.2, where a specific multilingual keyboard type is mistakenly identified as a third-party keyboard. This has already been resolved in version 1.3.

We truly value your input and hope the improvements in version 1.3 will address your concerns. If you feel the app has improved after the update, we’d greatly appreciate it if you could revisit your review and consider updating your rating. Your feedback helps us continue to improve and deliver the best experience possible!

### 4/5 — Blocking Spam emails

*2026-02-04, version 1.9.2*

Does your app help to block spam & junk emails especially from Microsoft Outlook

### 4/5 — Good service but lacking transparency for full piece of mind ( I may be wrong and haven’t learned)

*2025-10-11*

Love the premise of using sysdiagnose and automating scanning however I would love to actually see the data from my sysdiagnose broken down and small notes like a physician does on a blood panel. You guys could spin up an LLM to do that for you. I think that would go a long way in building trust and educating people for what to look at. Thanks for building this app and working hard on it

**Developer response:** Thank you for the thoughtful feedback! We completely agree that transparency builds trust. Our analysis process does not rely on a static list of known public indicators (IoCs) — which would be outdated and reflect historical concerns versus current or undiscovered ones — but instead compares each sysdiagnose submission against a baseline of “normal” to reveal any anomalies present for human analysis to then take place. Our baseline has been built based on a very large number of samples across all types of hardware and operating system versions. Any anomalies that are detected are then sent for expert human analysis which is where new concerns are discovered and false alarms avoided. Some examples are a new process, new thread, unusual combination of them, high memory usage patterns, a process running as a new user or with unusual access permissions, etc. The vast majority of the time the anomaly is legitimate and non-malicious and just something new. Our process lets us detect subtle anomalies revealing new types of concerns that competitor’s traditional IoC-based tools miss. While we could report back all anomalies detected, unless an actual concern that we send a true alert for, this would raise a lot of concerns and questions from users who would then feel there was still cause for concern when there was not. When there is a true alert or one that cannot be classified with high certainty, we do contact the user with more information on the concern to investigate it more fully. Because this approach uses statistical and behavioral comparisons, rather than ineffective fixed IoC signatures, providing detailed itemized feedback isn’t practical. We’re exploring ways to share more context in the future though. We really appreciate your support and interest in how the app works! Thank you again for your support and interest in Am I Secure? — and if you’d like to discuss your results or suggestions further, please contact us anytime at support@numbersstation.app.

### 5/5 — Most in depth

*2026-04-01, version 1.9.2*

This is very comprehensive scanner that goes to the deepest level of the operating system. It pays to do the first free scan to actually see how thorough it is.
Don't bother with the typical commercial AV programs.

## Most praised reviews (9 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — peace of mind

*2026-02-07, version 1.9.2*

easy to use and took no time to check for sophisticated spyware with my free trial.

### 5/5 — Excellent app

*2026-01-12, version 1.9.2*

I like this app for multiple reasons but the main ones it’s very thorough and there’s no fluff. Unlike other well-known spyware apps, this one does what is supposed to do and that is it, you know right away if there’s any issues. you don’t have to have it continuously running like some apps. Another great thing is there is no hidden cost you pay for it and you use it, that’s it.

### 5/5 — Easy and Cheap

*2025-11-18, version 1.9.2*

After searching for a free app to use for malware scanning I fell upon this one. It allows you to do 1 free scan at first and I needed it since I accidentally clicked a scam link. It’s easy to use and does in depth scanning. I can’t believe it’s not more popular. I definitely recommend.

### 5/5 — Saw reviews decided to try

*2025-10-13, version 1.9.2*

All good :) definitely will continue to use

### 5/5 — Great app

*2025-08-13, version 1.9.1*

Great instructions app functions well permits much more in depth examination of
The system

### 5/5 — Love it but…

*2025-07-13, version 1.9.1*

I want to know what’s the evidence? Like it states “Endpoint Security”. Many AV’s claim it aka Bitdefender and Kaspersky. I want to know who is this targeted towards, what’s the history behind it, and how do you do it?

### 5/5 — Free version is good. Wish I had the plan

*2025-07-06*

Love the app but I can’t afford advanced plan😭. May I suggest like 1 advanced scan per month🙏?

**Developer response:** Thanks! I’ll pass on your feedback to our tech team.

### 5/5 — Good Question

*2025-06-11, version 1.8*

I’ve tried several different platforms over the years… some free, others, not so much. “Am I secure” determines what real threats are out there. Then seeks them out. I like that approach much more than passively waiting for the next malware or spyware to randomly show up on my doorstep! It isn’t free, but it’s so much less costly than dealing with the alternative. Thank you.

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2025-06-08, version 1.7*

So fabulous to have some protection from zero click exploits, as this sort of surveillance doesn’t just happen to journalists and dissidents, but every day citizens.Thank you.
