### 4/5 — Very good app but lacks one thing

I would have bought the subscription if it had bucket coloring feature which will only color inside or outside of closed ink borders depending on where I touch , current fill feature is kinda problematic for unclosed paths also colors seem to be not perfect even though opacity is 100% it shows light colors even if choose dark colors I believe it’s a bug you guys can easily fix and please add the bucket coloring feature then the app will be perfect for vector designing on tablet pad and mobile .

**Developer response:** Thank you for the thoughtful feedback and for explaining what would make your workflow better. We understand why a bucket-style fill would be useful, especially when working with areas defined by multiple paths.

For the lighter-than-expected colors, this can sometimes be caused by an object's transparency or blend mode, even when the selected color itself has 100% opacity. We'd be happy to investigate this further if you send us a screenshot showing the selected color and how it appears on the canvas, along with the .amdc file if possible to support@belightsoft.com.

As for bucket coloring, we appreciate the suggestion. We have considered a similar tool, particularly one that could create a new filled vector shape within an area without modifying the existing paths. We don't have this feature available at the moment, but your feedback is helpful in shaping how we approach it.

I originally wrote a bad review over 3 years ago as of writting this review and wanted to update my rating after having a more positive experience with the app, thanks to the updates. My issue now is that I find boolean to give weird results on the lines and the filling and I wish there were shortcuts for tools I use.

Regarding Boolean operations, what you’re seeing can happen when working with paths or open shapes. For the operation to be applied correctly, the app automatically closes such paths before processing them, which may lead to unexpected results. Among Boolean operations, Divide is the only one that can work directly with combinations of open paths and closed shapes, where paths act as cutters.

The only thing that’s really missing is the possibility to setup the margins and bleeding for print.

I like the app and I think the price is fair. One thing I would like to see is an animation feature. Even if it were just a short 1 second loop.

One issue that I have is that you can’t import files into other sessions. I drew a character and wanted to place them into another background file that I drew. But I couldn’t no matter what file I used.

I’ve been using, Amadine for a while and I’ve got to say it’s a pretty solid vector program. I downloaded the app and paid the one time payment license. because it seemed simple and not too hard to learn. At first I had difficulty using it, but thank goodness for tutorials. I’m still learning the pen tool, but it’s really not that bad. The only bug, I’ve really experienced is the app crashing when using the shape tool. I’m guessing it was because the amount of nodes the selected shapes had or something. Could be my hardware, I don’t really know. By the way it only happens sometimes, I use an iPad by the way, my current iOS is 18.2. Hope that helps. <3

It’s a great program. I thought I would support them and purchase the lifetime subscription. I go to download it on my Mac (so I can learn the same tool on different platforms) but it says I have to purchase that separately. How are the licenses not shared? For what purpose? Now, if I also want to use it on my Mac (to the same degree as my phone), I have to purchase it AGAIN.

When Vectornator was shifting to Curve, more and more features that are seriously useful, were paywalled, making the app more and more useless, unless I pay for a subscription, which I hate. I started to look for alternative apps, and Amadine is better than other apps I tried. I ended up paying for the premium version for a one-time purchase, and it is official. I’m a Vectornator refugee. It has what I expect from Vectornator. It’s not as free as Vectornator was, but it’s better than nothing.

Eu gosto de todas as funcionalidades desse aplicativo, ainda mais que ele não é pesado e roda super bem. Gostaria de uma possibilidade de ferramenta para suavizar o traço depois de criado, que você passe ela por cima do traço e fosse suavizando e diminuindo os pontos criados que não precisam. Não sei se podem trabalhar em algo assim  em futuras atualizações. Desde já agradeço a equipe pelo melhor aplicativo já feito, eu uso bastante em meus trabalhos de marca e desenhos!

I bought it lifetime at the price $9.99, I wasn’t very satisfied since mostly I do vector for animation. I turned to Adobe Illustrator, which is good,but sometimes the app running slow. I have been testing different apps, just for export to my animation see how accurate it will be. Finally I picked up Amadine again front my library, it surprised me, got improved soooo much,even the layer name won’t change at all after I exported SV to my animation app, so do colors ,lines, shape, all very consistent, and pretty smooth when I draw. Thank you.

The only thing I’m looking to use this app for is converting a Procreate image into a vector/svg.  I can’t test if this is even capable on the app without paying $30. (Btw, thank you for offering a lifetime payment option.  I greatly appreciate this purchase option, it shows you’re in it for the long run and not just making a quick buck).  I wish I could make sure this app will meet the needs I’m looking for before I pay for it.  I hope that makes sense.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately, Amadine does not provide a vectorisation feature, you can only draw over your imported image to recreate it. Thanks for the free export feature request. You can always save the .amdn document and use all the other features in the free version.

I did an illustration for 4 hours including learning the interface just to know you cant export without paying any subscriptions. If its asking subscriptions, why can’t it just show at the beginning

**Developer response:** We do exactly as you asked: show a warning at the very beginning of your work. Every time you start creating a document in a free version, the app warns about the Export limitation. Here is the warning text we show to the users every time they start a new document: "Please note that the Free Version comes with restricted Export and Print options. The restrictions are lifted via in-app purchase or subscription."

Moreover, you can always save the .amdc document even in the free version.

The app was great—the controls were easy to learn and I could tell I could learn more. This app had a lot of potential for an aspiring vector artist like myself. I was going to recommend it to others due to its intuitive nature. However, what made the deal shatter to pieces was having to pay premium to export my drawings. 

There was zero indication that I needed to pay to export, and it’s not even listed within the help section. I skipped the tutorials because I have firsthand experience drawing vector art. I completed my first piece of art there, satisfied with the way things were going.

Until it rescinds the subscription model for exporting, I am NOT recommending this app to other people. I feel disappointed.

We've done everything we could to inform you properly: in addition to the fact that the description indicates the in-app availability, the App Store has also a separate line stressing the presence of an in-app in the product. Furthermore, every time a user starts creating a document in a free version, the app warns about the limitation.

I’d been somewhat disappointed with vector graphics apps on iOS.  Amadine on a 13” iPad Air gives me a comfortable drawing experience. Lots of powerful export features. I can knock up a rough or a smooth and get it out really swiftly. It really is very good.
Amadine is a powerful and under judged, coming in at a slim size with minimal interface intrusion. I just get it. Which is more than can be said for some of the competitors in this important segment.
Give Amadine a try it’s a lot more powerful and intuitive than you might think. It’s also from Ukraine which still needs all the help it can get…

I’ll keep this short. Are you a designer that’s familiar with design tools like Figma or Adobe Illustrator? Have you been frustrated with ios design tools that are overly simplistic or just never seem to work the way you’d expect? Amadine’s the answer. I just blasted out a design in an hour and every little interaction with the tool just made sense. No re-learning, super intuitive. Also… 15 bucks a year for this thing is insanely good value. Verdict: Go for it! You won’t regret it.

Je trouve qu’elle a presque tout et qu’elle est bien pensée. J’aime aussi le fait qu’on peut l’acheter à un prix assez raisonnable plutôt que les abonnements. Après plusieurs tests, c’est l’app de dessin vectoriel que je préfère sur iPad pour exporter des svg pour un penPlotter. Aussi les développeurs sont très réactifs. J’ai écris chez eux pour leur demander une feature (pouvoir supprimer le lissage pour un dessin 100% fidèle) et il l’ont fait quelques jours plus tard. Maintenant j’aimerais aussi avoir une déformation de type sculpt et peut-être une gomme plus radicale… qui sait peut-être m’entendront-ils encore :)
