Foreign credit card doesn’t work properly and is kind of a pain to pay in cash upon delivery. ### 2/5 — Buggy app *2024-11-13* Application is buggy as I couldn’t complete my transaction in 1 shot. Doesn’t take to the next page if the address is already saved for the user. Had to manually edit the address even though there is no change required. Very slow. Mobile 2FA didn’t work. Few things: Online payment is hanging ( I made several attempts and finally did COD, which costed me 50 rupees extra) Login should save the information in the cart ( I deleted and reinstalled the app multiple times and don’t see the saved items in the cart, even though I have a login id) ### 2/5 — Misleading dubious discount offers *2024-06-21* To lure customers, Amala earth sends coupon codes and discount offers that do not work. I was offered a 50% discount through the code AMALA50. Nowhere was it mentioned that that the discount was limited to ₹1000 on a maximum purchase value of ₹2000. So if the item was worth >2000, the maximum discount one could get was ₹1000. We everything organic under a place but while one search for some specific item in the search box it doesn’t display more products but in suggestions one gets many options with similar product ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Unreliable Delivery Timeline Disrupts Plans *2024-12-29, version 5.4.0* I placed an order for a couple of items after seeing the express delivery option, with the expected delivery date being 30th December 2024. However, the delivery date was later delayed to 31st December. Now, one item is scheduled for delivery on 1st January, and the other on 4th January. I needed these items by 1st January and would have purchased them offline had I known about the delay. ### 1/5 — Bait and switch *2024-09-01, version 5.3.8* This app is full of bugs, and the payment process is far from seamless. It feels like a scam, and here’s why: You add items to your cart, see the price, and proceed to pay. But then, an error pops up, even though the money gets deducted. When you reach out to support, they take 24 hours to create your order from the backend. But here’s the twist: they change the price on the invoice and mark your shipment as COD, even though you’ve already paid. You follow up again, and the cycle repeats. This is classic bait-and-switch, and they’re doing it. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2024-08-07, version 5.3.5* I installed the app and spent two hours trying to make it work but it just simply does not work. It refuses to work on WiFi (which gives me great speed across devices and apps) by throwing a “no internet try again” error and would only work on mobile network. Even then, everything I would add in the cart would automatically be removed as I go to check out and the amount, discounts, etc. showed incorrect information. Seems like the app is just a framework with products but cannot be put to actual use. ### 1/5 — What is wrong with this app *2024-08-06, version 5.3.5* I have spent nearly 20 mins adding items to cart only to watch auto pop up notifications saying “item has been removed from your cart” every single time. If I try to play fastest fingers first to get to the cart before it is auto-emptied, the cart doesn’t show more than 2 items on principle. The only reason to get the app was to avail the bulk order discounts except the cart isn’t allowed to hold items that will allow the coupon. ### 1/5 — No return policy *2024-06-23, version 5.2.7* Even if u buy something reading it is returnable it is not … first u won’t be able to place the return using online platform … thr site always have some glitch … at the same time if u r buying than order Will be placed and money will get deducted … so the glitch is thr only placing return not for buying new things … And after that when u will Contact them the will say we r third party it is not returnable … and thr site and app clearly says the product is returnable . ### 1/5 — Worst customer support *2024-06-17, version 5.2.6* Positively do not believe their claims of product return. I tried to replace a damaged item through emails and got automated responses, but was never connected to an actual agent. Hilariously, got a mail asking for feedback for the help offered. When I entered a low score, I couldn’t because of some error. Now it is past the date of return. There are many other options if you’re looking to buy sustainable products, avoid this website/app. ### 1/5 — Terrible customer experience *2024-04-02, version 5.1.1* It has been such a disappointing experience. I placed the order on the 17th of March. Received no update after. Called the customer service team on the 21st and that’s when they said the order will be shipped soon. Then I received the wrong order. Literally spent the whole of last week trying to just get an update on when will they ship the right one and take back the wrong order. Everytime I call the team, they respond saying we’ll get you an update the next day/ second half but till now I haven’t received a proper update. I’ve been asking the team to take back their product and process my refund so I don’t get scammed but there’s been no update on that either. Yesterday when I called, I was told the correct product is on its way and is being sent via Wefast but I didn’t receive anything. They have scheduled a reverse pick but choose to ignore talking about my refund or the product. Terrible experience. ### 1/5 — Privacy Breached *2024-02-24, version 5.0.1* If you want people to dupe you , download this app . I downloaded this app 10 days back . I ordered and received my products . Yesterday someone called me & could tell what I had purchased earlier . They had all my personal information & they also could say what I was adding to the cart real time which made me believe that these guys were genuine and I lost money . The reply from Amala earth - “Sorry” . Definitely an insider job ### 1/5 — Don't download this app, don't buy their products. Customer service is trash *2023-11-29, version 4.4.1* I've had two experiences with Amala that have totally turned me off purchasing from them. If you put your address in the app, products get automatically sent to that address, even if you update your address. And because of that, I paid for products that never arrived to my house. I contacted Amala about this - it takes a least a day for them to pick up, they never answer emails. ON TWO SEPARATE ORDERS I explained the problem, I was promised it would be resolved. It was not. I paid this company for products I never received, and wasted hours of my time trying to follow up. Don't do it. ### 1/5 — Poor customer service *2023-09-30, version 3.6.0* Pathetic customer service. There is no commitment to deliver your goods. I had placed an online order and made a payment. The amount was deducted from my account but the order was not reflected in the app. I raised my concern n the customer service people said it will be resolved by 2 days. Later they said a manual order will be created.
