Make it where my phone stays connected indefinitely and i dont have to take the face off every 3hrs.

Worst app ever!! For an app that you use to control temperature in your home. This is the worst .  Each time you have to use the app you need to reconnect to the unit and in order to reconnect to the unit you have to take off the entire front. Worst design ever I can't believe someone put this out.

App should not need to have the “red button” pushed every time a home user wants to use blue tooth to control the thermostat. Just an obvious way to make more money driving users to the remote.

The app works fine one you able to connect to the ptac. I shouldn’t have to
Power cycle the ptac to be able to locate and pair to the unit. But once connected works ok could be better

This could be a really handy utility but major bugs need to be addressed such as every time you try to “save and apply changes” you get a “failed to save settings”. And communication between the app and the unit appears to be flawed as there is not instantaneous response from the unit when adjusting settings for the unit like it would be from a thermostat or panel on the unit. At first you don’t think it’s taking because nothing happens and when you go back to look at the setting you just changed it shows the previous setting but you just have to wait for literally a minute or so for the unit to respond to your input and the setting to reflect such in the app. At least that’s what I thought. Now I can’t get the fan to shut off no matter what I do largely because I have no idea if it’s receiving my input due to the either lag or complete lack of the unit registering the input.
C’mon Amana. You can do better, especially for what you charge for these things.

This Ptac experience is the rolls-Royce of ptac brands and support. I would trust this app to entertain my children on a 4+ hour car ride on their iPads. If I could give them 6 stars I would. The app is everything you could ever want in an app experience.
