## What is amane 雨音/天音?

Open it on a rainy night, in the hours when you want to do nothing.

amane only opens when it's raining where you are. When it isn't raining, it simply stays closed.

Play music in Apple Music and the song, the colours of the album, the weather, the time and the place all blend into a one-of-a-kind painting on your screen. The album cover sits small in the top corner — only its colours drift across the main screen as particles, falling like rain.

amane does not remember everything. There are no favourites or permanent listening history. But it keeps one thing — the music you played during the last rain. The next time it rains, that memory quietly returns. Rain connects to rain, through music.

The name "amane" can be read as ame-no-oto, the sound of rain, or as the sound that falls from the sky.

What you need
- iOS 16.0 or later
- Location permission (used only to check whether it's raining)
- Apple Music (optional — only if you want music in the visuals)

Privacy
Your rain memories and settings are stored on your device. Location is used to check the weather through Apple's WeatherKit and to look up place names through BigDataCloud. Apple Music catalog IDs are sent to Apple to retrieve album artwork. None of this data is sent to studio itto's servers. No ads, no tracking, no analytics.
