Diese App ist mitunter die einzige für gute Ausgabequalität über IOS. Bitte macht das Nutzungserlebnis etwas besser und baut die App weiter aus und auf, es wäre schade wenn sie irgendwann nicht mehr nutzbar wäre. Schon jetzt geht sie oft nicht wirklich. Dankeschön ### 2/5 — Waiting for a NEW revised Software update *2024-11-23, version 1.32* Sonic Studio are slow to update and keep abreast of changes to streaming platforms; point in case being Tidal who’ve dropped MQA in favour of FLAC. The TIDAL native app supports 48k 24bit decode of content and higher but it appears Amarra play does not which is disappointing. Utilizo este player para escuchar MQA masters procedentes de Tidal y de MQA CDs en modo local y francamente suenan muy bien. Recomiendo al desarrollador más rapidez a la hora de reproducir el tema siguiente, a veces, cuando la pista es HR o de mucha duración, tarda varios segundos en iniciar reproducción. Ocurre lo mismo en ficheros DSD, tarda mucho es descomprimir e iniciar reproducción. Otro pequeño problema está en los tags de los ficheros que se cargan en local, hace que si el fichero no está tageado con su número de tracks, hace que se carguen aleatoriamente y no se respete el orden original. Igualmente con ficheros DSD. Schade, Geld umsonst ausgegeben. 🤷‍♂️ ### 1/5 — Doesn’t stream local music but plays music iTunes/Music won’t play *2025-05-13, version 1.32* If you have a full MQA DAC or you stream Tidal or Qbuz it is useful. If you have MQA, DSD the free version will at least play the music. The free version has useful EQ presets. It plays FLAC easily so purchased files from non-Apple stores will play. Their site says that it will STREAM local files; IT DOESN’T. Their help pages show copying music to the application on the iPad. Use VLC to stream from a local wireless hub or a connected wireless drive. It’s not elegant but it works better for the music that it can play or decode which is MOST file types. VLC will change the sample rate for HD music. Amara Play is easier to use than Apple Music, iTunes but you need disk space to store the music. It will change the DAC’s sample rate to match the music which Apple doesn’t. The playback controls are unresponsive. It feels like it is crashing. It will play MQA without the purchase but at CD quality and it takes forever to translate it. It will play DSD but it converts it to PCM very, very slowly. If you have FLAC music and don’t want to convert it and then move it iTunes Music this is convenient. If you want to play music from an external drive or networked drive then go elsewhere. А не пора бы уже актуальную версию выложить ??? ### 1/5 — Bugged and defective *2024-12-16, version 1.32* The app is unusable with Tidal as playlists are synced very poorly (sometimes twice, sometimes never, sometimes who knows if they will be still there after refresh). It takes a bunch of rather unprofessional programmers to release this crock of a program. It made me rethink about subscription apps. What makes matters worse is that Apple refuses to issue a refund by saying “not eligible for a refund”. The developer seems to have left it behind. It doesn’t seem to work properly on updated iOS anymore. A shame since I could have used a functional eq on Tidal. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — This Is Actually The Go To! *2023-11-21* So I gave it five stars because for iPhone it is actually the only app with maybe one exception that has an equalizer that is spot on. With that said I will say to the developers, please allow the ability to add more equalizer settings from the options offered on the MacBook Pro version. I want to be able to swap out one from the phone and replace it with those on the Mac. Make that possible and you will have the absolute best equalizer app available. ### 5/5 — Шикарное звучание, убогий интерфейс. *2023-01-12, version 1.32* Использую на IPad mini 6 с type-c. К нему подключен ЦАП Cayin RU6 через провод ddHIFI TC09S. Затем B&O Beoplay H95 докторхедовским jack-jack. Источник Tidal и Qobuz. Качество звука заметно лучше, чем при воспроизведении через стандартные приложения в обоих случаях. А также, в случаях с файлами на диске, чем в других плеерах из AppStore, которые удалось послушать. Мб Roon конкурирует, но там совершенно другой порядок цен. Вернемся к звуку. Сцена становится шире и объемнее, нет ощущения, что звуку что-то мешает выходить наружу. При прослушивании через стандартные стриминговые приложения, возникает ощущение как будто на звук что-то давит сверху, сжимая его и одновременно помешивая. DSD не умеет отдавать в неизмененном виде на ЦАП (с этим вообще какая-то проблема у IOS/IPadOS). MQA софтверно декодирует до x2. Интерфейс и юзабилити весьма убоги. Например нет возможности перейти из трека в альбом или на страницу артиста. Нет возможности открыть текущий плейлист. В целом интерфейс сделан топорно. При прослушивании трека на весь экран карусель из треков с одинаковой обложкой и мелкой подписью. Управлять этим не удобно. В итоге 4 из 5. The other nice thing about Amarra Play, is the remote capability to control the Mac counterpart. Likewise, the Mac counterpart I use, Amarra Lux, you won't find better sound! It too has some bugs and flaws.
