### 2/5 — Magloop feature -requires $1.99 fee -yet almost nil capability

*2026-01-26*

Whilst the App required $1.99 fee to go “PRO”. The magloop feature which required the PRO fee is so basic as to be practically useless. This feature really only suggests a wide min/max range for outer (Main) loop. Period. Nothing else! Nothing on Gamma matching, nothing on calculating Z, wavelength, capacitance, or even anything about the simpler inner (driver) loop sizing etc.

Be aware that anyone who comes for this App specifically regarding designing magloops - There is very little here for you at the moment. I’m hoping the author(s) will see this and consider adding more capabilities. Seem a shame not to.

I’m leaving 2-Stars because I see other features in the app but have not yet tried to use them.

### 3/5 — Crashes

*2025-10-17*

The app has potential, however when I decided to upgrade to the pro version to unlock the remaining features, the link crashes the app. I can’t complete the upgrade and there’s no pro version available in the App Store that I can find. Too bad for the app developer. You almost made some money with this thing.

### 2/5 — No frequency in gigahertz?

*2025-04-02, version 1.1*

No gigahertz option for frequency in apple app but there is in android.

### 4/5 — VE3BEK

*2025-03-30, version 1.1*

Very useful information

### 2/5 — Buggy and Primitive

*2024-10-04*

Crashes during attempt to upgrade to pro, doesn’t calculate a ground plane dipole given a frequency and more problems. It’s little more than a reference app with some basic calculations (when they work).

### 2/5 — Upgrade don’t work on my phone

*2024-08-10, version 1.1*

Upgrade don’t work on my phone but works on my macbook pro m1 go figure restore don’t work

### 2/5 — Where is the phasing calculator?

*2024-05-12, version 1.1*

I bought it and was looking for cable harness/phasing calculator and cannot find it.

### 3/5 — Has potential but it is unusable.

*2024-04-27, version 1.1*

The information and calculators in this app are brilliant but the interface doesn’t work a lot of the time and makes the app unusable. It’s such a good app that if improvements to the interface were made it would be well worth the purchase.

### 3/5 — Nice collection, needs refinement

*2024-02-25*

I like the thought behind the assembly of tools, the collection is great enough for legit RF and work. The app could benefit from a UI and usability review to improve idiosyncrasies.

### 1/5 — Resistors in parallel

*2024-01-15, version 1.1*

Does the app do anything do anything? I can’t get it to do anything.

### 2/5 — Colors

*2023-11-18, version 1.1*

Background colors non adjustable no functional control?

### 1/5 — Needs an update!! Doesn’t work.

*2023-10-01, version 1.1*

This app needs an immediate update. Doesn’t work under IOS 17.

### 1/5 — Needs improvement

*2023-09-26, version 1.1*

Just downloaded it. There are no formal instructions on how to use it. For a beginner, you have no idea where or how to begin.

### 2/5 — Why does it not do anything?

*2023-08-27, version 1.1*

Err- is this meant to be a working app? Tried entering values in several calculators but nothing happens. Eg J pole calc and inductor calc. Only one seen working is resistor colour code. Not clear if this is a trial app which would explain issue.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Request Payment again

*2026-01-24, version 1.1*

I paid the $1.99 for the pro and it keeps asking me to pay again. It won’t let me choose restore.

### 1/5 — Does nothing!

*2025-11-22, version 1.1*

Can not input data. App seems frozen.

### 1/5 — Not useable

*2025-02-21, version 1.1*

The app UI is a mess. Screens are under headers and the controls can’t be seen or be operated. When I went to see what the “Pro” version was about the app blew up. It isn’t useable in this state. Sad, could have a great tool.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work. Waste of money.

*2024-12-23*

Downloaded this for convenience but after purchasing the “pro version” the calculators stopped working. The app is useless to me now. I don’t recommend downloading it as the are much better websites available for building antennas.

### 1/5 — Colors need improvement

*2024-11-01*

While the app seems to do what it was designed to do, the color scheme is horrible. Blue letters on a green background make it very difficult to read. It would also be nice if you could change all values from metric to imperial or vice versa without having to change each individual value. If I need measurements, they will all be either or and not a combination of imperial and metric values.

### 1/5 — Hard to use

*2024-08-25, version 1.1*

Could not figure out how to select or enter values

### 1/5 — Kein Upgrade möglich

*2024-02-26, version 1.1*

Leider kein Upgrade möglich, nach Anwahl des Menüpunktes passiert nix, außer daß die App sich selbst verabschiedet.
iPhone 15 Max Pro

### 1/5 — App repeatedly crashes

*2024-02-21, version 1.1*

The app looked like it would be useful, and installing went smoothly enough.

Once in the app, it looked like upgrading to pro would be useful.

But every time I tapped the Upgrade to pro version, the app Crashes.

Guessing the developer doesn't want my money?

### 1/5 — Many functions simply do not work.

*2024-02-12, version 1.1*

I was hoping to get a good model to build antennas. Unfortunately the model seems to be incomplete. Would be nice if it worked.

### 1/5 — Works minimally…

*2024-01-24, version 1.1*

Most buttons don’t work. Some calculations are off by up to 17%. Relatively worthless. Idea is good but it doesn’t work. Wasted my money.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — First Rate

*2026-02-27, version 1.1*

Excellent app. Have been using it for a long time. Best of 73’s. Tom K4NAM

### 5/5 — Greatest app ever for understanding radio fundamentals!

*2025-07-23*

You have gone above and beyond and helpingRadio operators understand how wave move through the air!How to build an antenna the correct way and all the different types of antennas that can be made d.I.y.Thank you very much for all the love and time you put in this application and I look forward to seeing what you’re gonna come up with next! Michael Amend

### 5/5 — Great app

*2025-05-28*

It’s a great app for figuring out antennas. I’ve used it quite a bit in my hobbies.

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2024-06-10, version 1.1*

This is a GREAT APP

### 5/5 — Great resource!!!

*2023-06-12, version 1.1*

This is an amazing resource and well worth it!

### 5/5 — All in One Excellence

*2023-06-02*

If you love to tinker and build antennas and other things this really is the best App out there. It’s quicker than going online and hunting for formulas. I like how you can select the output from Metric to Imperial. It was a real chore to always wonder what an antenna length was when now I have ALL of the answers. Thanks for a great app !!

### 5/5 — Pocket full of power

*2023-04-06*

I really
Like this app. Very fast accurate reference to so many details and reference material that I just can’t remember it all. So so helpful! If this was a book? It would be way to large to carry and or if it was small? It would be hard to read. Thanks!!!

### 5/5 — Useful

*2022-12-24, version 1.1*

The free version has most of what I need. One odd omission is volts to watts to dBm for a 50ohm signal.

### 5/5 — I’m confused

*2022-12-23*

I had the paid version, Tool Kit Pro, updated it several days ago and now being told I have to buy it again. What happened? I tried the reset option, but it does nothing. How do I get the full functionality I previously paid to have?

Update: My mistake. I have the Electronics Tool Kit Pro by the same creator. Not the pro version of the amateur radio tool kit. BTW the Electronics Tool Kit is an awesome app!

### 5/5 — Хорошая программа для радиолюбителей.

*2021-04-03*

Все работает отлично и без глюков. Отличная программа!
