I Did love this game but.. *2020-06-21, version 2.2* I can't believe thst just happened ! I had every level passed on expert except one and then something glitches and now all my game was cleared!! Annoyed like others with ads covering buttons. Use gear/pause to drop the ad covering shuffle buttons, but it's really awkward. Also should be a way to return to game menu listing easier after a game. I wish there was a pause button and that the ad didn't sometimes cover the shuffle button, but neither of those things change my overall enjoyment of this game. ### 5/5 — Mahjong *2017-03-14, version 2.2* If you are having problems using the buttons on the screen all u have to do is push the menu button like ur pausing the game and then push the button to minimize the screen and the ad will go away so you can use the buttons...I really like the game, I like that u have different levels to complete I hate the games that make you replay the same levels. ### 5/5 — Zen mahjong *2017-03-06, version 2.2* Lots of fun, a bit different than the other one I play (mahjong epic) as this has levels that you can go through rather than just a bunch of patterns. My son, who is 10, also enjoys it. I especially enjoy the challenge of getting a gold star in the expert mode. The only thing I don't like is when an ad covers the bottom of the screen & keeps you from being able to shuffle the tiles. The popup ads are annoying, but a writers suggestion to bring up and then close the menu works well and I barely notice them anymore. Hey, guys, stop those banner ads blocking the entire bottom of the game screen ! If you start quick enough it doesn't happen, but once it does the only way to get rid of the ad and play the game is to turn the phone off and restart the phone... ### 5/5 — Love it *2016-11-08, version 2.2* I love this mahjong app. It is sooooo much better than the on I had before. The only problem that it has is that sometimes ads will pop up during the game and block the other tiles. The ads don't go away unless you close out the app but then you have to restart the level you were on. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Frustrated *2017-08-03, version 2.2* Not every single game, but often enough, an ad covers the two free shuffle options. And not the kind of ad that you can get rid of it by telling whoever that you want to stop seeing it. So then you're forced to go back to the homepage, losing your progress and starting the entire game over. I don't mind taking the time to remove an ad but I resent the stationary ads that cover any part of the game. While this is a nice one to play, I'm going to delete it because there's tons more out there. ### 1/5 — Will not finish game. Can I give zero stars? *2015-05-28, version 2.2* Since yesterday, May 27, 2015, I have not been able to get any game to finish. I touch the last two tiles, it says, "pling" and starts its sparkle, and then it totally freezes. This is no way to run a game. Something has changed, and it has not changed for the better. I have not yet removed and reinstalled the game lest I lose all my progress. However, it is true that finishing silly games is not any kind of REAL progress, and I would probably not miss this game if it vanished entirely. If this problem continues unabated, I will delete the game and never look back. As it is, I will check it occasionally and see if you have repaired whatever is wrong. When I am tired of checking the game will be removed. Are you sure I cannot give this zero stars? ### 2/5 — Underwhelming *2016-12-08, version 2.2* I really wanted to like this game. For me it's the just a bad version. Dimming the unplayable tiles makes it hard to see what's coming up to be able to plan ahead. I try not to use the cheats, but when I did want the shuffle or holy light, an ad popped up right over them so I couldn't use them without clicking the ad first. Glad that some people out there like it, but this is just not the version for me. ### 3/5 — Only 84 Games *2021-11-06, version 2.2* I thought this game version had many challenges and I enjoyed playing but was very disappointed that it only had 84 games. I wanted to go on like many Mahjong Games have. Some of the games were almost impossible to get 3 stars but I finally did. I didn’t like being able (a must to win) play off the very bottom with a small corner of puzzle was showing-didn’t like. Only rated this game 3 stars because I found too many things I plain didn’t like wouldn’t rate at all but it was challenging! Would not recommend this game for anyone experienced or no experience! NO NO NO!!!!! ### 3/5 — Love this game! *2018-01-25, version 2.2* I used to rate this game 5 stars, but no longer. The full-screen ads prevent such an exalted rating! Don't get me wrong, I am a great fan of this game. I have lost track of how many times I have completed all formations, then deleted and reinstalled so I could do it all over again. I'm hooked! TRY THIS TRICK: When ads block your buttons, hit the gear ⚙ button at the lower left, then immediately hit the "X" button to close the window. This will clear all ads from your screen. Get into this habit and you can quickly proceed with your game. This is especially helpful for Expert level play! Okay... Forget that last suggestion. NOW THAT ADS HAVE BECOME HORRIBLY INTRUSIVE, I recommend playing in Airplane Mode! Enjoy! ### 3/5 — Review *2016-11-30, version 2.2* I'm writing this review to let future players know that this game is good, I've always enjoyed playing mahjong and this is one of my favorite games. I also wrote the review to unlock the next board which is very cleaver, and it's way better than having to pay to unlock the next board or to use up coins, Jewels or gems, or even tickets to unlock the next board. ### 3/5 — A bit annoyed *2016-08-15, version 2.2* I like the game but I wish the challenge mode was optional. Like I feel rushed when I see the combo running out and it's annoying. It's not a zen mode if ur trying to get combos and keep the rather short bar up before you lose it. Other than that it's a good game. Like the visuals and the music. Just hate the anxiety I feel when playing because of the combo thing. I also hate how the ads block the buttons so my combo runs out before I can press the shuffle like how stupid is that?! ### 3/5 — It's nice... But too many pop up adds *2016-01-29, version 2.2* I think the graphics are great and when in the game playing it's fun. But there are too many pop up adds. There should only be one after you won the game. Not after every time you win, or selecting a level or start to play the game. The adds should be very few. If I knew there would be this many adds I probably would not have down loaded. I don't know how many times I've accidentally click an add when I'm trying to select a level. ### 4/5 — Great Distraction- Needs more boards- no pause button! *2022-03-20, version 2.2* Rating to unlock because I’m almost finished with all the boards on expert level. This is a great distraction! Just needs more boards. Most visually attractive mahjong game. I’m only giving 4 stars as on the expert mode the timer to keep the combos going is very distracting and is about 2 seconds too short and no pause option. I can’t use hint or holy light to help on the most challenging ones with over 200 tiles as time runs out before my eyes can focus and regroup. Eyes get too fatigued when I get up to that many tiles. Other than the fact that I want to know the next title is… I’m at magnificent now LOL… I don’t care if I don’t get the star. But I do want to know what the next title is. They crack me up! But trying to get a straight combo on the 200+ tile games isn’t a challenge issue, it’s literally physically exhausting and hard on the eye which to me is more of a health issue not a “how challenging can we make it issue.” Needs a little bit more time and/or a pause with a blurred screen to rest the eyes. ### 4/5 — Nice game, dumb ads, need to improve tile distribution *2021-01-25, version 2.2* I’ve played this game on a Kindle before and it was much better than on an iPhone—I didn’t get stuck with the last two tiles being stacked on top of each other nearly as often, and the ads weren’t nearly so frequent. Otherwise however, it’s the best majong game there is. I really love this game, it works on my mind and gives me a nice thought. I would love to play the game and be allowed to play as many sets of possible without having to unlock the next challenge. How do I restore my progress for this game? I’m logged in Game Centre on on both phones but new phone still has 0 progress for this game. HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!! ### 5/5 — Great Mahjong puzzle *2017-09-23, version 2.2* I really enjoy playing this game. All puzzles are spaced out creatively. Plus the individual tiles are designed well and keep me coming back for more. Just one question, why won't the shuffle button separate the last two tiles?
