So I tried it out myself to see if it was really as bad as they say, and it wasn’t that bad! Yes it’s difficult, but not impossible. I think that this game is good for strategy and planing before hand. But I’m not really fond of the level that you are on keeps changing. So the planning before hand thing wouldn’t really work…. Overall I think that it’s an ok game and read the reviews first but it’s different for everyone!!! ### 4/5 — Ba ba ba *2020-11-28, version 1.1.1* I’ve been playing this game for years. It’s fairly mindless after you play it for a while. I went from getting a score of 3 to a score of 30 in a matter of days. It takes a while to learn the jumps and what you need to do, but when you do, it becomes really easy. It is very challenging, but that makes this game fun. You have to actually time your jump, decide whether you should go lower of the highest you can. My high score is 59. It’s not complex which is satisfying considering the fact that most Mobil games have way to much unneeded things. My only problem is that you can’t unlock anything which makes the game a little boring. This is a great game to play whenever your bored. I loved it from the first minute I started. This is extremely addictive. I picked up fast and in my first 5 minutes my high score was 6! (Not lying). This is a keeper!! Delete all your other games, this is the only one that you will need! Some reviews say it's impossible, but they're probably just saying that cuz their a bunch of crybabies. I managed to get a high score of 69 and I haven't even played for that long. The animation and backdrop of the game is minimalistic which is nice and the ads are not annoying. Also the game is different from flappy bird because you can only tap twice, so you use your fingers differently and you have to think of when to tap. Get this game! I had to eliminate the ads, which I'm normally to tight with my money to do. I would have a rhythm going then a ad would interrupt me. Jk *2017-02-11, version 1.1.1* This game is pretty good, considering the many copycats I stumbled on before reaching the Ultimatum, the one and only and true game that does actually SPAM YOU w/ ADS like the many look alike bootleg games that were made to look just like this. Also to those who say this is just like, if not, the same thing as flappy bird: not really. So now that we got that out of the way, I'll be heading off now, and where ever u may be reading this, Toodloo ### 4/5 — Very good game but.. *2017-01-19, version 1.1.1* The sharp downward falls/jumps are nearly impossible to make. I'm only talking about the ones from a high up platform to a low platform as close together as the app allows. The jumps can be made but only if you time it literally PERFECTLY. It's fun but in order to keep the fun:frustration ratio a healthy one, these jumps/falls need to be fixed. ### 5/5 — Love it *2017-01-13, version 1.1.1* I absolutely love this game. It's hard but fun. The only thing I would like to see would be new characters to use. Like getting points for making it far and using the points to unlock new figures to run with. This app is kid-friendly, fun and pretty easy. There are a few things that I would modify though. One thing is that you can only jump two times in one run, and that's very annoying. Another thing is, the adds. Every time you go into the app, adds show up. And every time you start over, more adds show up. Besides those few things, this is an amazing app. I would recomend this app if you want a fun, small game. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Learn the concept of rising action and progression *2017-09-15, version 1.1.1* The game is a fine proof of concept but fails on many levels. While I like the simple art it needs to at least nod toward the subject--what is jumping between blocks? Make it roofs and tunnels, pipes and ledges. Keep the simple graphic design but make the blocks into something! It could look cool, but doesn't. The game starts at the highest (only) level of difficulty. If you want to make a game you need to understand basic game and progression theory. You hook people with rising action--start easy, then ramp up the difficulty and precision needed to progress. This is fundamental stuff and Thief lacks it completely. There is a good game here waiting to be developed--so develop it! Until then, this is a 1-star, play then delete flop. ### 1/5 — How are the ratings so good? Why was it featured? *2017-04-20, version 1.1.1* I don't know. First thing that popped up was an ad for another game. The idea seemed simple enough, but it's just a frustration game - die until you pass the first obstacle. Then keep dying until you get the hang of it... for what? Just to keep the little guy jumping and dying to get points? No story (why is he a thief?) not compelling gameplay. I guess if you just wanted something to kill time it would be okay, but if I'm going to spend time on something it had better be worth it. Also you can tell that whoever made the game put no thought or effort whatsoever into it. If the character is "jumping from roof to roof" why is there another platform right on top of the platform you have to land on. The description of the game is terrible. Looks like it was typed by 10 year old. If a child did make this game then I understand but if not, I'm greatly disappointed. If you're just gonna make another imitation of flappy bird, then at least call it flappy man or flappy stick figure cause amazing thief makes no sense at all. ### 2/5 — Don't download. You've played something like this already *2016-05-06, version 1.1.1* Remember Flappybird? This is mostly, though not exactly, the same as that app. You have a figure moving right and you have to tap on the screen to get him to move accurately into a gap between two blocks. And it's really, really difficult. But unlike Flappybird, there isn't anything stupid to laugh at. Honesty, if it weren't for the rather aggressive advertisements, I would think it were a prototype, a proof of concept. Or maybe a high school programming assignment. Artistically, it's lacking. You have a generic black stick figure doing generic animations upon a white background, with pastel colored obstacles. You've almost definitely played a version of this game that took more time and effort to make. ### 2/5 — Annoying and impossible. *2016-01-22, version 1.1.1* This game is just a spin off of flappy bird and is much more idiotic. You have a double jump but can't hit the distance of most gaps. They're either too close or too far. It is annoying. I give it two stars for the fact that they make you want to beat your goal. Now the ads spam you every four or five attempts and they are annoying and long. I recommend people just stay away from the terrible game. ### 3/5 — I Don’t Even Know *2018-04-17, version 1.1.1* Yo, this game, OMG. Like I don’t even know if it’s a 1 star or a 5 star game because of how unbelievably difficult it is, so I just have to give it 3 stars. Like whoever could score a 50 in this game could probably solve world peace. Yes, this game is harder than finding world peace. So if you ain’t able to solve world peace don’t download this game unless you love anger. This game is like landing on a hotel three times in a row while the your opponents land on free parking or community chest in Monopoly. This game will make you slap your grandma, and not because of how good it taste. Only play this game in an isolated area. Like you think it’d be simple enough. Just tap once or twice depending on where you jump from, but no it’s not simple. You better have taken College Algebra and Geometry then taught it to the generations below you before playing this game. This game put me through the 6 stages of grief. Usually there’s only 5 but this game created a new emotion, a new chapter, and new struggle in my life. Who made this game? Who in earth or hell made this game! Yes it’s a stupidly hard game sometimes but keep trying😄 Step 2: MUSIC, put on like one of your favorite songs and just get lost in the song then you won’t be focusing on the game as much and after practice you’ll be an absolute GOD at the game..
