### 3/5 — Many things I love but needs some extras

*2023-02-14, version 1.4.1.0*

I love reading my heart rate, blood oxygen level checks, learning so much about my sleep and even the good feeling when I read my steps, calorie burns, and activity points achieved.
Some things that could use some tweaking include a smaller face plate for the smaller wrist band(a little bulky on a small wrist); better tracking of mild activity(like when I’m cooking or cleaning but getting reminders that it’s time to move?); more suggestions for better sleep that don’t include meditation or maybe suggestions for getting back to sleep if you wake up in the middle of the night; if the workout videos could include sound prompts at end of times and circuits plus more prompts of what exercise coming up next; and more positive reinforcement prompts during the day like when I take the stairs or walk for 5 minutes but didn’t start my walking exercise timer.
But so far it has been helpful and encouraging to reach for goals.

### 4/5 — It's good but fitbit is better

*2022-11-28, version 1.3.22.0*

I like the halo. Nice that it doesn't have a screen, syncs to your phone when you need to look at data, and is comfortable. But, my old fitbit was just better. Especially for tracking sleep. The halo only takes between 10pm and 6am because that's what I told it to do. If I wake up in the middle of the night, it doesn't always track the awake time and if I take a nap in the middle of the day. It doesn't track. Example..I didn't sleep well the other night and I woke up at 1:30am. The 20 min I was awake wasn't tracked. I woke up at 5am and played on my phone for an hour, halo tracked that as me sleeping. I finally went back to sleep at 6am and slept for 2.5 hours, but since that was outside my sleep time, it doesn't show on my tracker. Battery, heart rate, and activity is also better or same on fitbit and fitbit is better in the water since they don't have a fabric band. More expensive, but Fitbit is still the standard.

### 3/5 — Halo View

*2022-10-31, version 1.3.20.0*

I am enjoying my Halo View, but I have had a Fit Bit Charge 2 for 5 years. To compare, the Halo has a much smaller face, and at age 65, it’s much harder for me to see. Sometimes the swipe feature doesn’t work, it’s too hard to change from screen to screen. It doesn’t have the feature to remind you to move 250 steps every hour, unless I just can’t find it. The Home screen does not show steps taken for the day, you have to swipe, and as I mentioned, that doesn’t always work. Also , it does not sync with my Renew Active app with Medicare, which rewards members with cash for taking steps. Currently I am wearing both of the trackers. I do like the feature where you can adjust the brightness of the screen, and turn off the feature where it goes on when you move your wrist at night and turn off notifications. I have not used the BMI feature, or the voice analysis feature. As a whole, I would not recommend. I bought it because I got it free from Weight Watchers.

### 4/5 — Everything is great except nutrition!

*2022-07-17, version 1.3.12.0*

Totally worth the price the app is easy and so informative about so many elements. I especially like the body and movement sections. Sleep is analyzes in a very detailed manner too. And the activity tracker is inspiring. I love that the band wraps all the way around so there is nothing to break. However… the nutrition section leaves a ton to be desired, at least if you’re doing keto. I selected ketogenic friendly and just one meal a day hoping to encounter new recipes. It’s like they don’t even know what keto is! The first recipe has 40 carbs!! My DAILY max is 25. If I tried to “balance out” my macro stating with 40 carbs, the fat calories I would have to eat would blow me out of the water. I’d start gaining for sheer excess calories. Maybe it was a fluke? Nope, checked every single recipe for the week and had to smdelete every one. Decided to use Senza for nutrition, which is great for Keto tracking. Despite this one area of low quality who h may only apply to keto, the rest of the halo app is wonderful and I highly recommend it. Thus 4 stars!

### 3/5 — What happened?

*2022-07-14, version 1.3.12.0*

Up until around May of this year, I would have rated the Halo band and the Halo app with five stars. It does/did everything I wanted. It tracked my steps, it tracked my heart rate, it logged activities, the body scanning is amazing, and I don’t look like an idiot wearing two watches (I like to wear a traditional watch, so the band only option was highly attractive). However, somewhere around 2 to 3 months ago the step tracking became highly in accurate. For example, the average round of golf requires the participant to walk at least 5 miles. Five miles translates to roughly 10,000 steps. The days that I golf show roughly half the amount of steps I should be displaying…super bummer. I’ve tried resetting the band. I’ve tried doing a factory reset of the band. I don’t know if something changed in the algorithm to track steps, or if there is something wrong with the accelerometer within the band, but I am currently very unhappy with this recent change.

### 3/5 — has potential but not worth $4/ month as is

*2021-12-16, version 1.2.24.0*

Decided to switch over from FitBit to Halo View because presale prices were quite affordable. The app itself which comes with a $3.99/month subscription (free year w/ purchase) has potential. The new metrics that set it apart (hence require a subscription) from other trackers feel a tad invasive. The points system is interesting. But I’m not a fan of getting a demerit if I stay still for too long as this is something that may or may not be in the users control— injuries, disabilities, or just a particularly restrictive work situation. The sleep feature is great but again falls short because you cannot manually log sleep or naps.
The website was also misleading about what apps the Halo view can integrate with— I ended up buying it because Lifesum was listed as one of the apps (something that would make me overlook lack of apple health integration) but it turns out it’s just content from Lifesum that’s featured not actual app integration. Although I quite enjoy the headspace content on the discover tab.

All in all the app has potential, if we were given options to import data (whether by logging sleep or through other apps) and maybe an opt-out option for the demerits.

### 3/5 — Great app features and value for the membership

*2021-10-18, version 1.2.19.0*

I really like the many programs this app offers and when it isn’t buggy, all the data I can view. It seems to be hit or miss when it comes to bugs. For example, when I open a meditation program, there is a bug that prevents me from viewing it in full screen unless I restart the app a few times. The same goes for program reminders. A bug with those is sometimes the app won’t allow me to scroll through them, it just shoots me back to the first one. Lastly, when it comes to filtering through workouts, recipes, and mindfulness activities, sometimes the app refuses to show me any filtering options unless I open and close the app a few times.

I gave it three stars for the reasons stated above. I enjoy having a screen less tracker more than I though, it helps me be more present with those around me and myself.

### 4/5 — Good app, but not all activity is ‘exercise’

*2021-09-26, version 1.2.18.0*

I find this is a total wellness and health app and tracker. The activity tracker is the most accurate I’ve had, which recognizes not just the physical shifting of the devise, but increased heart rate as well. I still have issues with it recognizing I’m doing something if I’m pushing a cart or carrying something stationary in my band arm, but that’s less of an issue than with most trackers. The app also doesn’t allow for marking activities as a daily living activity. I find my most intense activity is often during family chores and necessities. I should be able to mark them as ‘chores,’ ‘morning prep’ or preferably something of my choice rather than other or stairs. If I do, then I can see my progress of improvement even on days I don’t make specific workouts a priority due to time constraints. Also, the ability to track cycles, lunar, hormonal, or even mood cycles, would make this much more complete for tracking total health.
Update: with iOS 15 updates I can’t see beyond my basic data! I’ve updated and the data graphs and content are not visible. It’s tweaked off to the side like I need to scroll sideways.

### 4/5 — I like it but could use improvement

*2021-06-08, version 1.2.10.0*

I love the sleep and activities part although it would be nice if it measured daytime naps too, and I’d love to see more details on the activities. Like how many calories I burned during a workout on the intense level. Or how much time did the intense level take, not just for the whole day but during a particular time. And how many calories did that burn. Would be nice to have a section on nutrition to enter and monitor nutrition intake and macros. Or have an ability to sync with MyFitnessPal so I can import the activity data there. The tone thing is useless. I was depressed today over a bird that died, so of course it wouldn’t pick that up because I was quiet. And other days I might yell at my computer out of frustration but that’s a healthy way of expressing it. It has nothing to do with my interactions with others.

### 3/5 — Would be my favorite app if it weren’t so slow

*2021-05-14, version 1.2.8.0*

I love the functions available in the app and the layout of the data. Sometimes I do want to click into the charts provided to get more detailed info that Halo doesn’t offer, which is sometimes frustrating.

My biggest issue is how slow the app runs now. When I started using it, no issues. Now, when I try to open any window, scroll, or toggle, it takes 5-10 seconds to respond. Meanwhile, I keep clicking to make sure my touch registered, which causes it to now move over into something I didn’t want. I know this is a FWP, but I expect better from Amazon-built UIs. It’s become frustrating enough that I’m disincentivized from even using my Halo, because I won’t be able to get my data fast enough. For example, by the time it reads my heart rate, it’s already changed because the app took too long. It didn’t used to act this way, so my experience isn’t matching my initial expectations.

### 2/5 — Super inefficient tracking for nursing or stroller parents

*2021-03-27, version 1.2.5.0*

I’ve been wearing my band for months, and there’s a few things I’ve noticed. I like the look of it, however the functionality is just not there. The difference between the step counter on my phone and the halo usually has the halo at almost 2000 steps less. The sleep tracker it’s probably the best feature, and I might start wearing it only while I sleep because my phone can’t track sleep. I’m a nursing mom who works with my baby full time, and probably 60% of my steps daily involve carrying the baby, pushing a stroller (or shopping cart) and none of these steps ever register because my hands are occupied or my arms aren’t swinging. Each time I nurse my halo registers this as sedentary time (6 times a day), which seems pretty judgmental for a calorie burning activity. It’s just not doing it for me, and out of all the trackers I’ve owned I like this one the least. Even the Jawbone Up tracker had a setting for nursing, and my Fitbit tracked even when I was pushing a stroller.

### 3/5 — Good, not Great

*2021-02-06, version 1.2.1.1*

The app is minimalistic so know that before setting equivalent expectations to an Apple Watch or Fitbit.

Pros:
- Simple interface with two data panes - one for exercise and one for sleep
- Sleep graphs are easier to read and presents relevant insights
- Activity data is meh at best - doesn’t do a good job discerning anything more than steps and heart rate

Cons:
- BIG ISSUE is the inability to seamlessly sync the wristband data to the app. On average, I’m swiping down 5-10 times just to get it to sync. Not fun at all.
- Tone feature is basically useless. It records at random and can’t differentiate context from content (eg telling a story of when someone was mad versus you actually being mad while telling the story).
- Does not personalize with you at all. The activity and sleep tracker doesn’t get smarter or adapt to common inputs. It just goes on blindly assuming everything I do is a walk or run. Sleep scores should have a report how you feel feature to get a better sense of what good or great is for the individual - not just mapping everybody into the 8 hours is great no matter what bucket

All in all lots to improve. This is a beta product (hopefully) as there’s no way this competes with other fitness and health wearables in the long run.

### 3/5 — Easy to use but needs more features to be “worth it”

*2021-01-21, version 1.0.26.0*

I have been using the app for about a month. I do feel that it is helpful on my health journey and the app is relatively easy to use and set up. I don’t love the way that the sleep tracker works. I think it does a good job of tracking your sleep stages but it uses that info to tell you how good you slept, based on a rating that is assigned. I think it should ask you how you feel when you wake up, how you feel mid day, and how you feel by that evening. I think the sleep information provided would be more useful over time if you were also tracking how you feel each day. For example, one night, I woke up 38 times but it said I had a great night’s sleep. I disagree with that, and I felt like crap the next day. But there is nowhere to input that info. I will soon be doing my second body scan. I am 5’11” and 165lbs and after my first scan, the app said I am obese based on body fat percentage. Hahahaha. While I do recognize that I need to work out more and live a less sedentary life, I don’t feel as though I or my doctor would classify me as obese. Just my two cents about how the app could be improved.

### 4/5 — Feature Rich w a Few Drawbacks

*2021-01-18, version 1.0.26.0*

First this is more than a band. More than an app. It's a focus on your overall health. Labs from super qualified groups including Orange Theory. Lots of great advice. For me anger management is a key and it's got at least three areas where it helps w this. Voice tone. Sleep. Stress and meditation. It has so many labs you will never use them all (at least for a really long time). But they are there. A whole library of activities and guides for you. Have an area you want to improve... It's there.
It has a fat measurement feature using AI that I believe is as good as a Dexascan from what I have read so far. So it's great. Why only 4 stars? It misses some steps that my fitbit doesn't. And yes I've tracked the FB against Garmin and made sure. Second the battery is only good for 1 -2 days (less than a day more recently). It's activity score is nonsensical. I walked 16K steps yesterday. It registered almost none of them and I have an activity score of zero. Yikes In gen 2 these will be fixed I am sure. Maybe they will connect to your insurance Co and help get you reduced rates too.

### 2/5 — Inaccurate, no Apple health integration

*2021-01-05, version 1.0.25.0*

I bought this band mostly for the body fat percentage measurements. I only have a scale to compare it against so I have no clue how accurate that is. The calories burned is definitely very wrong, I’ve had days where it suggests I’ve burned nearly 5k calories, which even accounting for bmr and calories burned for exercise is easily off by 1000 calories. It also fails up correctly detect my heart rate during exercise when my heart rate is above 130 or so (confirmed by a chest strap heart rate monitor). The tone detection is absolutely useless and provides you with an exact time that you sounded a certain way, often leaving you with no sense of what actually sounded a particular way. Also the lack of integration with Apple health is frustrating because I use other apps where it’d be useful to automatically import data and end up having to manually input it instead.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — No Heart Rate Tracking / Way to Disable Calorie Counting

*2022-12-15, version 1.3.23.0*

I wanted this to function as a way to see how my heart rate fluctuates on a graph as I have tachycardia and want to show evidence of it and try to lower my average heart rate (which people do by working out!)
I’m not sure if the app knows my baseline is a bit higher or not.
Also- you can’t disable the calorie burner tab. I am a survivor of an eating disorder and seeing calorie counts is very distressing.
I just wanted this to function as a sleep tracker, watch, and heart monitor but I feel as though it’s way more geared towards fitness tracking. It would be nice if we could just get rid of the widgets and such we don’t need. Atleast the calorie count isn’t available on the clock itself, but it’s still really sad a health app wouldn’t give users the chance to disable the feature from showing up.

I got this as part of the planet fitness deal, which I didn’t know locked me into a 2 year membership that cost $68 or something to cancel. In the end I paid way more in the long run, but atleast the watch isn’t too bulky? Usually I find watches to be very annoying. Im just upset the feature I thought it had aren’t there. It seems like it DOES track heart rate but not on an easily accessible graph- it’s just using it for the activity points.

### 1/5 — Used to be great… now rarely works

*2022-09-28, version 1.3.18.0*

The app is one of the things I was recommending about the halo. Now I’m having to go retract my recommendation to my friends. I’d feel bad if they bought this on my rec. Seems like something broke in the past couple of months and now the app never loads and on the rare occasion it does, it definitely won’t sync with the watch. I tried all the trouble shooting multiple times to no avail. The app has become utterly unusable and the watch not much better, since you can’t access the data.

While the cat knocking things over graphic is cute, it gets old when that’s literally the only thing this app can do. No chance I’m going to pay the monthly fee for an app I can’t even use most/all of the time.

I guess I’m glad, if it was going to go downhill, that it did before I’d spent much on it. I really like the watch and app when they do work, it’s just that it doesn’t any more. Will be looking for an alternative. I give up.

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2021-07-23, version 1.2.13.0*

I’ve had the halo band for seven months now. It’s nothing special, kind of bulky and the back cover for the chip that has contact with your arm fell off. Admittedly I wear it everyday but I am by no means highly active. I walk a normal amount, out of necessity, since I live in NY but I do not partake in any extra activities that would count as exercise therefore it shouldn’t be falling apart. I also stopped sleeping with it on along time back so I wear it through the day and take it off at night. I wanted something to track my steps but I probably would have been better off with something else as this is really not elegant, limited clunky band options, and it falls apart despite not being highly active. Additionally, lately, when I check my activity report, it has me listed as partaking in serious activity when I know I was just sitting on a couch. While it is exciting to be exceeding my daily activity goals it’s sad because I know it’s not accurate. I am sad because I also ordered one for my mom a few months back and now I’m just waiting for it to fall apart. Overall waste of money.

### 1/5 — Worked pretty well at first, not functional at all now

*2021-03-22, version 1.2.4.0*

At this point, I’m wearing the halo for fashion apparently since I haven’t been able to open it for a week. I’ve tried an average of 10x/day to open the app to check my activity points and sleep score, but it’s Monday and the data hasn’t updated since Tuesday. I have the latest version of the app and it’s so bad that I can’t use it. 80% of the ten times it closes before it can open to the home screen. 20% of the times it opens and I can sometimes click on the activity panel. But it crashes each time before I can even add an activity. I haven’t gotten the band to sync in a week. So no activity points, no sleep data, no tone of voice data (though that’s questionably useful anyway). I was pleased enough with the Halo when I got it for Christmas, but it’s my first activity tracker so I have nothing to compare it with. However, if it’s not producing data for me, it serves no purpose and this is where we are right now.

### 1/5 — Cool idea, doesn’t work.

*2020-12-26, version 1.0.24.0*

Fitness trackers are a fine a dozen. This one is trying real hard to be something unique and original but it falls short. Way short.
The step calculator is fairly accurate and seems to get the job done there. On that, it seems like this band is a success. Otherwise, it is not good.
There hasn’t been a single night where it measured my sleep completely. For some reason it doesn’t kick in and misses the first 60-90 minutes of sleep every night. It has completely missed a few nights entirely. (The band was powered and positioned properly on my arm, just isn’t performing.)
The BMI calc isn’t actually doing anything active, just using a bit of math to smoke-and-mirror its way through magic science.
The voice tone meter was amusing at first, but then concerning later, and if I could actually listen to the snippets it was measuring that would make its usefulness outweigh its creepiness. But you can’t listen to the snippets, so it’s just a creepy little feature that doesn’t really give me a way to learn from the findings.

### 1/5 — Unsure what to think

*2020-12-22, version 1.0.24.0*

I’m one that doesn’t write reviews. But I had to on this one. I was so excited about this. I even got got it on the early release.
Over all it’s ok I guess. I wish there was a way to say your laying down. I team drive with my husband and we sleep while the other one is driving and it doesn’t record my sleep. The only time it has recorded it is when we are stopped, which Isn’t very often. Which is very frustrating to pay money for something and it doesn’t work the way they say. And I wish you could look at day to day activities also, not just today and weeks and month. And the band have no give. I even got an extra one so I could change them out from time to time. And it set really high on your arm/wrist. It would be nice if it fit more like a watch. And the bands are not very soft. I was really hoping that it would fit like my Apple Watch. No luck. ☹️hopefully they make some changes. Or I’ll just go back to just using my Apple Watch.

### 2/5 — Halo review

*2023-01-29, version 1.4.1.0*

Sleep tracking needs a lot of improvement. It doesn't actually register sleep unless it's during normal sleep hours. Naps need to count, not everyone can physically sleep enough in one chunk of sleep. One of them continually shuts off as soon as it's taken off, and takes thirty minutes of playing with the charger to get it to actually try to find a signal again. the watch. It's great and easy to use. The app is pretty good also, although I would like more sleep help options, also it says that all three of us are sleeping very badly. My boyfriend's band says he is awake, when he is snoring. I know it's not right. Maybe we could have an option to actually say I'm going to bed and I'm up, naps aren't considered as sleep either. I'm sure it's considered sedentary time, but that's how some people get their sleep, I'm disabled and pain sometimes keeps me up, maybe we are dreaming during the night and the app thinks we are awake? Also one of our watches just today decided that it doesn't want to be con ected to the phone except when it's plugged in. I have reset the phone and app but it's still not working, so there is also that.

### 2/5 — Halo view usage

*2023-01-21, version 1.3.26.0*

The apps are great. I enjoy the sleep, health tracking, ability to see recipes, plan meals. I use the sleep programs almost nightly. However, they are flawed. You are supposed to be able to fall asleep before the actual video/yoga nidra, etc ends. If this happens-falling asleep. it we start up again apipproximately 4 hours after the initial sleep program. It’s very frustrating to be woken up when the goal was for the app to help you go to sleep.
I have done updates to the app even completely deleted my Halo View app to stArt over again , losing all my data. Unfortunenatly, ITS STILL HAPPENING AND VERY FRUSTRATING. IVE CONTACT TECH SUPPORT AND did tS
W HAT THEY ASKED. ITS NIT WORKING. IM PRETTY DIAAPPOINTED.
I also wish when you logged in exercises, you can Change the details such as the start and end time easier, the distance for certain. The band never matches what my treadmill or bike or exercise video claims has been achieved. At least those things could by changed on Fitbit easily.
I’m really hoping for so updates to stop the random night interruptions of my sleep.

### 2/5 — Ok but some big issues

*2022-04-12, version 1.3.6.0*

This app would be much better with a few changes.
1) the app only tracks calories while the band is on. So if you charge the band it registers 0 calories, which skews all the averages. It would be much better if it automatically logged a resting calorie rate based on weight or gave you the option to add calories based on an activity (you can currently add an activity, but the calories and heart rate for that activity will be 0)
2) the heart rate monitor does not work well at all if you move your arms a lot during an activity. For example if I do cardio moving my arms my heart rate will log as 50bpm- clearly this is wrong if I have been working out hard for half an hour. When I stop moving it will track again and shoot up to 135. Once again this could be solved by letting you add an activity with an estimated heart rate or calories.

### 2/5 — Inaccurate Sleep Data

*2021-10-03, version 1.2.18.0*

For the last several days the sleep data has been off by several hours. For example, I got in my bed last night at 9 p.m. and fell asleep around 9:30. I know I fell asleep at 9:37 because I was watching tv and when the commercial came on I feel asleep. I woke up at 12:30 to the same tv show, it had repeated, and I looked at my watch to see the time. I woke up to the nearly at the same place in which I had fallen asleep. I stayed awake until the show was over. I slept from 9:30 or so until 12:30, but Halo calculated sleep data from 12:06 until I woke up at 8. Halo’s sleep data says I slept for 7 hours 6 minutes. I slept for well over 9 hours. This happened the night before too. My sleep data has been off for the last 5 days. I’m not sure if I can trust the data. I specifically wanted Halo to track my sleep.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Obsessed

*2022-10-06, version 1.3.19.0*

Ok, I didn’t want to get into this for a long time… I didn’t want to be “one of them” constantly stressed by being over connected…. but I finally got one and I’m obsessed. I absolutely love it. It is very helpful in jump starting and sustaining a healthy lifestyle. It tracks sleep, activity, calories burned and your heart. It has great tips on meals programs and workouts. It’s motivation on your wrist… get one and you won’t regret it. I’ll keep exploring, as I just got it a couple of days ago. It is a great tool to zone in and focus on one’s health without getting sidetracked for long… it’s on your wrist and it’ll probably stay there permanently once you get one.

### 5/5 — Mixed feelings

*2022-06-20, version 1.3.11.0*

I like the band and the app, easy to use, keeps track of everything. However, like most automated systems it doesn’t make allowances for people with joint pain, a bout of illness, other conditions. It assumes you are fairly fit to begin with. I hurt my knee on one of the exercises and with bad joints I cannot always do the physical demands of 150 points per week. I just might go to *only* the step counter and work from there.

I don’t have this problem but I do wonder how people with desk jobs who work a lot of overtime do it, especially with family at home. It’s a good idea and app, but it seems designed by young healthy people with no demands on their time. I’ve been ill the last 4 days and obviously the points I got the other three days will be gone. Not very motivating.

I’d still recommend it for the young and healthy - but not for my senior friends who are (mostly) diabetics, overweight, and have rheumatoid and osteoarthritis.

### 5/5 — Great Improvement!

*2022-01-20, version 1.2.26.0*

I had the first iteration and sent it back because it didn’t do enough and wasn’t really a fully baked product. This one, however, is a n excellent product. It offers a lot for the money and does a good job in tracking my steps, heart rate and how well I sleep plus being a watch. It has other features that I haven’t used yet but all the them are ones that I will use. No bloat-ware here. Very easy to use phone app and battery life is very good. I top off the battery while I am showering each day. However, the battery will last several days without charging. The watch strap took some getting used to but it works well and I am glad that it is not leather so I can wipe it down when needed.

### 5/5 — The BEST / Most AFFORDABLE Health assistant EVER

*2021-12-31, version 1.2.25.0*

This is the BEST, most AFFORDABLE health solution available on the market. If you are serious about changing your approach to self care, personal health and overall well-being STOP READING and get the Halo View right now. It helps you find where you currently are at for a starting level and then suggests programs and exercise bits available via the app. Literally a one stop health shop. Fitness, meditation, sleep, recipes, mobility assessments. The whole sha bang!! I suggest you find a free / flexible macro nutrition app for tracking and tweaking your intake and then make the HALO jump. You won’t regret it! Make sure you take yoga with Elena. She is fabulous and is very helpful and supportive during her sessions!!!

### 5/5 — Love the device, like the app & hate lack of integration

*2021-11-30, version 1.2.22.0*

I’ve had the original ‘no screen’ Halo and it’s become a big part of my fitness & health lifestyle. The Halo app has made solid improvements over the past year but I feel it is not achieving its potential at all when compared to other wearables & what could be done with the sensors and data it collects. A big piece of that is how this is effectively a closed end device & service with no serious integration with other health tracking services. In my case a basic integration with Apple Health would enable my work’s insurance health app Virgin Pulse (for insurance discounts) to get basic data like my step count. The Halo app/service also doesn’t support direct integration with the vast majority of the common services on the market. I’m really hoping that will change soon as I love the device otherwise!

### 5/5 — I love this band!

*2021-03-31, version 1.2.5.1*

I love the way it gives you points according to intensity of your workout. So it rates the quality of your workout as well as how much you move. The only thing I wish it could recognize is weight training. It doesn’t seem to measure as intense during weight training. I also wish I could have it connected to my iHealth app. So that it could pick up and use the data that I am weight training.

I really love the sleep quality tracking. It measures 4 different levels.... not only does it track light, deep, & awake.... but it also measures REM sleep. However, it doesn’t pick up naps. I wish it would pick up naps.

So the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that I can’t link any of my iPhone exercise apps or health app to this one and it doesn’t pick up naps. Otherwise, I really love the halo band and app.

### 5/5 — Haloband with IPad

*2021-01-16, version 1.0.26.0*

I got Haloband during the Invitation period. I like innovative products.

I don’t have an IPhone — only IPad. I was delighted that the set-up was easy with IPad. For last 4 weeks I used only the Fitness and Sleep. They worked well with IPad. Finally, I got the courage to try body mass with IPad. To my surprise, the instructions to position the body was very clear. And the IPad camera worked with Halo Software! I am over 80 years usually a regular gym person. But not during COVID. I am underweight for my height but the still the body mass showed I had too much body fat. I agree with the results of HALOBAND. IMO HALOBAND is a fun tool to use. I was an early user of first version of FITBIT and prior to that used POLAR for over 20 years.

### 5/5 — Fabulous!

*2020-12-21, version 1.0.24.0*

I’ve had my halo band for 2 weeks. It was simple to setup with sleek packaging and instructions, very Apple-like. There are more features that I am actually using than I expected. If you like getting credit for and tracking your activities this may be for you. I’ve exercised daily for a long time but the way it tracks intensity has made a difference to how hard I work during my workouts. I love the sleep tracker and how it shows sleep patterns and the body scan for body fat. I plan to try out some of the meditation sessions and like the different health suggestions like trying partial fasting. I also like that it tracks my resting heartrate. I haven’t quite figured out the tone tracker, I think I inadvertently turned it off. I have not used another fitness tracker for comparison but have already recommended this to friends. Having something on my wrist is not great but its pretty small and light. So far, this has been fun! If you are concerned about your health data there is a lot that is captured, that might be a drawback which is discussed/addressed at setup.

### 5/5 — When it works I love it

*2020-12-21, version 1.0.24.0*

When I first got this, I was really excited. I still am. For the first couple weeks of having it the app worked fine. Now it crashes constantly, especially for the body scan, it tells me it’s not connected, and has problems syncing. I really like the band, and I find myself becoming more active by wearing and using it. It’s just that it can’t go for an hour without crashing, lagging or not syncing. But to be fair, I understand it’s an early access and there will be hiccups. Other than those issues it has become really fun and exciting to use in everyday life. I exercise more, I’m more conscious of how long and often I laze around, etc.

### 5/5 — Rating Halo

*2020-12-14, version 1.0.23.1*

First, I must say I have complete trust in the overall performance of my Halo. I’ve had it a month and have found several features very useful and important to my daily health regime. The set up was easy. The look very sleek and comfortable. Halo charges easily and let’s me know when my band needs to be charged.

Second, I find myself checking my sleep patterns every morning. It’s like I get a sleep study every night and truly explains how I slept, how deeply and rates my overall quality in an easy to understand way. I understand if I’m tired midday or if I have extra energy . It helps me to balance my migraines with my sleep patterns.

Lastly, there are two other features I love and it’s the body scan and exercise analyzers. Wow, it’s my own private weight clinic. It analyzes my weight vs body fat and gives me not only a physical view but detailed record in the palm of my hand. It Literally Scans my body and displays my progress through my Halo app on my cell phone. Having a visual understanding of my workouts is motivating and yet, gives me a kick in the pants to work harder. I can sync it to my Weight Watchers App. and share workout information. There are several other features I haven’t mentioned: voice analysis, helpful exercise tips, heart rate and more.

Get Halo, if your serious about how your own health. I truly find it a modern way to take charge and have information at my fingertips.

You won’t be disappointed!
