### 3/5 — Ehhh

*2026-08-23, version 1.20*

Would really like to have more control over what my child can reach

### 2/5 — Time limit flawed logic

*2026-08-22, version 1.20*

Why is it that when you add bonus time it also adds time to the time the tablet will shut off for the day. I still want the tablet to turn off at 7pm but want to give my child some extra time.

### 3/5 — Glitchy and Ridiculous price increase coming

*2026-08-13, version 1.19.2*

The app is getting very glitchy, my daughters tablet still works after her time is up and when it occasionally does then it doesn’t add the additional time given, price is increasing by £20 to £59.99, not worth it, you can control an iPad for free through a parent account, time to switch

### 4/5 — Could be easier to use

*2026-08-08, version 1.19.2*

I wish it was more reliable and more accessible for the Blind. As a blind parent, it would be very helpful. Thank you.

### 1/5 — Not user friendly

*2026-08-05, version 1.19.2*

Very difficult to allow certain music. Also, the book content is very bad. There are not many educational books at all. The user interface from my phone app is poorly designed. There are not many resources to learn how to use the programs.

### 1/5 — doesn’t notify anything

*2026-08-01, version 1.19.2*

This is the worst app it doesn’t alert or notify if anything start changing such as passwords Wi-Fi or emails. now I can’t get in on my kids tablet. Thanks a lot Amazon.

### 1/5 — Can’t approve child’s requests

*2026-08-01, version 1.19.2*

I go to view my daughters request for a book, it says to visit the parent dashboard to approve the request. I thought this is the parent dashboard? It even says so on the Home Screen. How am I supposed to approve it?

### 1/5 — Subscription for Prime members will change from $48 to $69.99!!!!!

*2026-07-30, version 1.19.2*

Our family has enjoyed using this app for many years at a great price. It's disappointing because we have truly enjoyed the app, but with additional charges and no significant improvements besides altering the appearance and navigation settings, it's become less user-friendly.

### 1/5 — Terrible App

*2026-07-28, version 1.19.2*

This app is incredibly difficult to use or find anything - especially what you’re actually looking for, like adding books to your kid’s kindle)

The buttons at the bottom of the screen have no titles, so it’s anyone’s best guess what they’re for.

When you try to turn on a schedule, it then greys everything out… which apparently means it’s on?

Please redesign this platform, and give the job to someone who understands app design.

### 1/5 — Contrôle parental

*2026-07-27*

À toutes les fois que je tente de bloquer la tablette ça ne fonctionne pas

### 1/5 — Difficult

*2026-07-25, version 1.19.2*

It’s hard to navigate should just be very simple to access your kids profile. She didn’t have to touch every line every button everything to get to what you need.

### 2/5 — So-so parental controls

*2026-07-24, version 1.19.2*

I wish I could limit the time an individual app could be used and had more control of tv/video vs games. Instead I had to totally erase Netflix and Disney because my kid was watching them instead of playing games even with the learning first settings.

### 1/5 — Not for me

*2026-07-24, version 1.19.2*

I thought my experience with these would be much different but I honestly don’t like them. Parent dashboard has changed so now I have to hunt for the requests from my kids instead of them being in a simple tab, I don’t like the operating system and it’s been a nightmare to try and add games or apps the kids had on my iPad

### 3/5 — So slow at times

*2026-07-19, version 1.19.2*

The app is unresponsive with approving requests and is very tough to navigate

### 1/5 — Dashboard controls never work

*2026-07-19, version 1.19.2*

Whenever I press to pause the device it never works which renders the app pretty useless for a parent with a young child.

### 1/5 — Ugh

*2026-07-17, version 1.19.2*

It is not easy to navigate. When you finally figure it out, it doesn’t work. I shot my child’s tablet off and yet he’s still sitting there playing. This is the second app that you’ve come up with that I know of and it’s still sucks. Parents can’t navigate and control like we should be able to.

### 4/5 — Good, but obvious Features needed

*2026-07-17*

The app is relatively simple, but good for controlling my kids’ two Kindle Fire tablets. Something is slightly dodgy, though when I give them more time. One of them shows this immediately, but the other one often takes a restart or quite a while to unlock and allow more time.
Another critical feature is the ability to make the tablet play a sound, so it’s easy and quick to find. One of the kids always knows where it is. The other never remembers where it was put down.
Finally, it would be really useful to know how large each app and video or series is, to better manage memory on the tablets. I like that the app shows what’s loaded, but there’s no way to tell how much memory an app or series is using.

### 1/5 — All restrictions I set were removed today

*2026-07-10, version 1.19.2*

I had blocked access to the web and Amazon kids for my child’s profile. This was fine for over a year and suddenly today the profile has access to everything despite me changing nothing - worrying! Luckily my child flagged the change to me - I can’t rely on Amazon to keep them safe

### 1/5 — Password

*2026-07-10, version 1.19.2*

Can’t easily retrieve or reset my password

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Screen Time

*2026-08-22, version 1.20*

Can anyone fix the daily schedule issues already!!! Nothing ever transfers from my phone to my kids devices! They have a daily schedule but if I add more time or shut them down their tablets never communicate to my phone changes! I go to their tablets and it shows normal schedule still. This app is terrible

### 1/5 — Ms

*2026-08-18*

Alexa is inadequate to do lullabies for children since it keeps waking them up with designed anti woman and death commercials. They are on constant repeat even after I pay a guy to do child settings. That’s not what any parent want for their 1 year old! I regret buying it, it doesn’t play the songs I want and it’s complete waste of money

### 1/5 — Wish I never had it

*2026-08-18, version 1.20*

My child keeps crashing out when I turn on daily limit

### 1/5 — Annoying- unnecessarily complicated

*2026-08-16, version 1.19.2*

Amazon makes this app so unnecessarily annoying so that one just gives up and pay the 7.99 for the Amazon Kids subscription that only gives access to sub-par books anyway. Its frustrating and time consuming to add purchased, kindle unlimited or borrowed from my library to my kids’ accounts because there’s no way to sort books (you can filter to only books but that’s it) I just have to page through and guess which books are for kids which is harder than one would think. More than once I’ve accidentally given a murder thriller to a 10 year old! Try adding books to the kids library but it doesn’t show up on kindle- only the ones that I’ve shared via the stupid app.

### 1/5 — Limited restrictions

*2026-08-15, version 1.19.2*

You can’t block YouTube or Roblox on the kids tablets. Also, why isn’t there YouTube kids on these?

### 1/5 — Not user friendly

*2026-08-15, version 1.19.2*

I’m tired of searching for things I need to do like update my child’s apps. The help
Area is no help at all.

### 1/5 — Waste of time

*2026-08-13, version 1.19.2*

Nothing works. Down time isn't working. Restrictions aren't working.

### 1/5 — Tasks

*2026-08-08, version 1.19.2*

My child’s echo dot keeps reminding her to brush her teeth at 7:30 AM. I don’t know how this task was set. This time is not going to work for the summer nor during school. I’m having a very difficult time trying to figure out how to change it or even cancel it.

### 1/5 — It’s worse than ever 😡

*2026-08-05, version 1.19.2*

The recent updates have made this app progressively worse and more complicated than a parent dashboard should be… all without adding any useful features! It’s incredibly frustrating and disappointing.

There are now constant issues with connectivity, poor responsiveness from the parent dashboard to a kids device, and still no ability to pause a single device. The all or nothing approach to device usage is an oversimplification of the ecosystem Amazon has created.

### 1/5 — Confusing interface

*2026-08-05, version 1.19.2*

The interface is very confusing to understand what controls what feature on which device for whom. If I edit times it doesn’t work and i am sure it is because i didn’t do it right. And that is because i didn’t understand how the feature is supposed to work.
