## What is AmbientSound~?

AmbientSound is an ink-wash-styled white noise and sleep app. Play and mix ambient sounds, and let the sleep timer fade everything out after you fall asleep. No account, no ads, no tracking.

SOUNDS
• 17 built-in sounds: ocean, rain, fireplace, wind, birds, stream, thunder, crickets, dripping water, zen bell, clock, page turning, keyboard, hair dryer, plus white, pink and brown noise
• Import your own audio files and customize each card's name and glyph
• Everything loops seamlessly with gentle fade in/out

MIXER
• Play any number of sounds together, each with its own volume
• Save the current combination as a favorite mix and replay it in one tap
• Edit saved mixes: rename, change sounds, rebalance volumes

SLEEP TIMER
• Quick presets from 15 to 90 minutes, or a custom length
• Fades out slowly before stopping, so it never wakes you
• Counts down by end time — accurate even in the background

THOUGHTFUL INTEGRATION
• Lock Screen and Control Center controls; resume your whole mix after pausing
• Shortcuts & Siri: play a sound, stop playback, set the sleep timer
• The iOS Clock timer's "Stop Playing" works with this app
• Auto-stops when headphones disconnect

ACROSS YOUR DEVICES
• Optional iCloud sync for favorites, recents, imported sounds and saved mixes — stored in your own iCloud; the developer runs no servers and can't see your data

• Two ink-wash themes: night ink (dark) and rice paper (light), with a serif typeface throughout

• Fixed an issue where some devices would encounter an audio error message upon opening the app, preventing playback.
• Opening the app will no longer interrupt currently listening to music or podcasts; it will only take over audio output when sound is actually playing and will relinquish it after all playback stops.
• Fixed an issue where sound occasionally failed to automatically resume after a call or alarm was interrupted.

• Pure Tone: Any frequency, supports binaural beats and isochronous impulses
• Empty Tone: An ambient sustained tone with adjustable fundamental frequency, fluctuation period, and timbre

• One-click application of commonly used frequencies (432 Hz, Solfeggio, brainwave band)
• Spatial Surround: Sound slowly surrounds the listener from left to right, most noticeable when wearing headphones
