The app revolutionises dining out. It is super helpful for finding last-minute tables and is easy to use. We had a small technical hiccup with the app which was quickly sorted and a follow up email from the co-founder to check in and make sure the booking went ahead. Genuinely fantastic customer service and will definitely be back to check out more restaurants in the future. Love the feature of connecting directly with the restaurant to see where’s available to book “live”. 100% worth a download and an explore. ### 5/5 — Super easy to use *2024-07-29, version 1.3.7* I know Ambl because I’m working with it for the restaurant I work for and today was the first time I used the app, and I really loved it ! It is so easy to use and the filters make the search of what you are looking for so much easier ! Don't know the area well enough so went on Ambl to book a table in a restaurant that close to the theatre. Within five minutes not only had I found one that suited my budget and taste but the table got booked and was in my calendar! There really isn't anything quite like the super efficiency and ease of Ambl. Quickly and easily found and booked a really nice restaurant, right in the centre of busy Shoreditch, to take some friends out for dinner. It’s location-based recommendations and filters also made it really simple to find the perfect spot. They also have some really great places listed (that are usually hard to get into), and you can book right within the app! I look forward to find some cool new spots. ### 5/5 — Great small French bistro *2024-04-03, version 1.3.1* We had a girls night out, prior to a show on the strand, and it was the first time I used the Ambl app to find space for five girls close by so we decided to have French since we were all of different nationalities. It was so cosy, the food and the cheese, delicious, and the champagne. Also very nice, even though we did not know of those brands. Booking process was seamless and loved that the app helped us discover a new place to eat that we haven’t tried before. Will be using this app now (instead of Google which is a lot more admin and it’s hard to know if what you are getting is good) to make bookings and plan future meals out. 10/10 - Would recommend! Just an awful experience. ### 1/5 — Not Working. Disappointing *2023-11-12, version 1.2.3* Unfortunately Whichever city I selected, always returned zero results. Real shame as I wanted to go to somewhere that people had good experiences with. Even tried 1 seat and no ticked options. Nothing returned again. ### 2/5 — Doesn’t ~really~ give a reservation confirmation *2024-02-11, version 1.2.7* One time I got a confirmed reservation at Brother Marcus in somewhere in Kensington on a bank holiday or a state holiday. Of course, the place wasn’t even open when we got there. Just yesterday, I booked Chotto Matte in Soho on a very short notice - around 30 min before. Once we got there, they didn’t have my reservation even though Ambl confirmed it. To be fair, we did get the table, and the receptionist later told us that they did get the reservation around 15 min later. Great idea but the reliability is still lacking. ### 2/5 — Disappointing *2023-12-11, version 1.2.4* The app is good that it gives you new places depending on the occasion, but I tried it in Shoreditch on the weekend for 6 people, and when we arrived at the bar the manager said they had no booking because they switched off the app! Now I can’t find how to filter what type of place I’m looking and the UI is just more difficult to navigate. Love the concept of this app though!
