I was very weary when they came to my school and said we could get a deal for around $600… It turned out to be some of the best money I’ve spent! Only thing is I wish the two apps for question bank and medical knowledge were integrated, but I can imagine that is a tough thing to do. I have used this consistently since getting it. It was especially helpful in studying for boards as well as on the wards. Article options in clinician mode help me as a student to grasp the concepts better and to have a better view of the clinical world during my studies as much as I can through given highlights and error markers. Just when you think they’ve thought of everything, they add something new that facilitates your learning such as embedded podcasts. The integration of Anki is amazing. The Qbank from NEJM is awesome. I can’t say enough about these developers and the content. I do have one request though! Now, they limited my membership to only 50 questions/month. This is a total disrespect with my money. I basically payed 18 months to do questions and now I have to pay more 250 dollars to continue studying. Should refund this waste of time and money that I had. If they’ve been giving you the cold shoulder too, then maybe voice your opinion in here, because contacting them will get you nowhere. ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2021-11-22, version 2.1.6* The fact that I bought access to AMBOSS for my entire medical school training but would have to buy a separate subscription to use their app is just disappointing. I wish I could get a refund on my original account at this point. ### 1/5 — Does not work *2021-05-18* I was excited to try this as a quick reference in my clinical practice, but as others have said none of the articles or diagrams work. All I get is this error message "oh no, you can't access this right now. Seems like an error on our side, try again in a bit." Uninstalling, updating, restarting your device does not fix it. The minutiae and constant distracted sin every question is exhausting. The only real use is the library. New issue in the last few weeks: When clicking on a link in Anki with the embedded AMBOSS feature, I used to be transferred to the corresponding AMBOSS page directly. Now when I click on the link from within Anki, it just opens the AMBOSS app and brings me to the home page. When I switch back to Anki and click the link again, then it opens the corresponding page. Fantastic! ### 5/5 — Hands down the best medical learning platform out there *2025-10-21, version 2.28.1* I got AMBOSS 1st year of med school and I’m still using it 3rd year of residency. Qbank and Knowledge app. Step 1 through residency boards. AMBOSS constantly learns exactly what we want and delivers a stellar product to match that. Anki? Their add-on was the first innovation in that space, they were the first to venture into our world of Anki, and they crushed it, offering features I hadn’t dreamt of. And AMBOSS Qbank questions are directly linked to their concise library articles so you can see what you’ve missed. AMBOSS hands you custom study plans based on your missed Qs. And somehow they write everything with precision and concise phrasing that has proven to be unbeatable by any other platform; “medical knowledge distilled” is an apt motto! Their diagrams?! Can NOT be beat. Their radiographs with overlay toggle?! Clinical resources like med dosages and guidelines?! Links to the papers?!! Walkthroughs of algorithms?! Now an AI that grabs the article content for you?!?! COME. ON. This isn’t even a debate. AMBOSS has managed to remain, for at least 7 years, head and shoulders above UWorld and any other Qbank, and better than any content aggregation platform in terms of convenience, accuracy, and precision (get out of here UpToDate you purveyor of wordy narratives incapable of getting to the point). “Finely honed” is the best way to sum up the products AMBOSS gives us. Seriously, I honestly believe they don’t sit around a table aiming to make money, they aim to please (excellent biz model IMO, cuz clearly the success follows). Oh and btw their customer service has always been *excellent.* I am not connected with AMBOSS in any way other than an avid user of it (would’ve been an ambassador but didn’t have the time to look into it, but clearly I love it). I honestly hope, for your success and for your patients’ health, that you don’t waste your time on another product.
