It looks very cool, and works well, and it definitely feel like what social media is supposed to be, or what it was years ago. FYI. Great app all around.✨ ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — underage users *2026-07-26* don’t get me wrong, i love this app, but there is so much to criticize. i love how unique it is compared to other social medias and how it’s not full of ads. however, ambys does not do anything about the amount of minors in the app when they pride themselves on being 18+. i, and many other users on the app, have reported way too many minors on the app, and their accounts are still up months later. they do not check their reports on the app! please make the app ID verified so that it makes sure that there are no minors on the app. ### 1/5 — URGENT: Serious Moderation Issue *2026-07-18, version 1.0.45* I downloaded this app and deleted it almost immediately. Within minutes, the first post I saw was openly hateful against men, and the second was completely disturbing. A user made multiple posts making sexual comments about a child and sharing her photo publicly. This is an 18+ platform, which makes this even more alarming. This kind of content should never be allowed anywhere. There needs to be immediate action. Please report this individual to the proper authorities and permanently ban him from the platform. If you require phone numbers or Apple IDs to sign up, you have the means to identify him. I took screenshots of his profile with his username and the posts he made. I’ll be happy to share them if necessary. Update: I’ve been checking in for a response. I’m glad the situation was handled! ### 1/5 — hard to use *2026-07-11, version 1.0.44* i was looking for a vent alternative but this doesn't work. one post on the homepage takes up the whole screen. it's just hard to use ### 1/5 — too glitchy *2025-10-13* has a lot of potential but it’s way too glitchy. i also thought this would be a more mellow and minimal version of a social media but there’s too much going on. maybe in the future it’ll be better ### 1/5 — My previous review was deleted, I see constructive criticism isn’t allowed *2025-07-21* Once again I’m coming here to say that ambys flags stuff for no reason. Like I said before, the flagging system is so weird & to delete my review is EVEN MORE suspicious. Says a lot about the ethics & morals of this app.. anyways if you’re thinking of downloading remember that their motto is false & everything is heavily over moderated. It’s not fun & the colors are cute until you realize you’re not allowed to use it without getting flagged or forced into a fake emote corner. Everything users say is monitored & removed if the app doesn’t like it so… just a warning for new users. This is NOT an app for airing your feelings even though they say “no mood is too much”, spoiler!: not true. Everything on this app must be palatable including review or they get deleted. Also your suggestions aren’t taken into account, the team literally does not care what you want, typical of a company though. There are a lot of concerning posts on this app. People are constantly posting about extreme topics and I worry about people’s safety. I don’t know the solution besides having bots filter posts or having more people on the dev team work on safety.
