### 5/5 — Amen

*2026-06-15, version 1.32.1*

This app has helped me so much in such a short amount of time. I’m planning on converting to Catholicism and want to learn Catholic prayers and how to pray and understand prayers to Mary and saints, and learn the rosary and this app has helped me do all of this!! Very beautiful app, and definitely a great way to pray

### 5/5 — A blessing during difficult times.

*2026-06-04, version 1.32.1*

Amen has genuinely been a blessing in my life. I started using it during a time when I was feeling overwhelmed and unsure of myself, and it has helped me find peace in ways I didn’t expect.

Prayer through this app has made me feel calmer, more grounded, and less alone. It’s given me a space where I can slow down, reflect, and reconnect with my faith when things feel heavy.

I feel like my prayers have brought me comfort and strength, and I’m really grateful for that. This app has become something I rely on in my daily life, and it has made a real difference for me.

Great game. Includes everything I was looking for, including all free services.

### 5/5 — Gets right to the point

*2026-04-05, version 1.32.0*

I used Hallow for the past two years but it had started to take on a bit of a celebrity feel to it, which was a turn-off. I wanted a prayer app that would be more focused on prayer and scripture and less about filler and fluff. Amen has been exactly what I hoped it would be. You can favorite the prayers that move you the most. They have daily scripture readings, daily theology, daily rosary, etc. I love the music and sound backgrounds available (I use choral chants as my go-to) and that you can pause prayers if you need more time. And I like that they don’t waste a lot of time with introductory greetings and setup for each piece of audio - that was becoming a time waster on Hallow. Overall an excellent, streamlined alternative to Hallow.

### 5/5 — Daily!

*2026-04-05, version 1.32.0*

It’s the only app I use daily for sure. Thank you and may God keep blessing you, for many to be blessed in return through your efforts.

### 5/5 — Best App for Prayer & Reflection

*2026-03-20, version 1.31.0*

I'm absolutely loving this app! It's been a game-changer for my spiritual practice. With this app, I can easily stay on top of my daily prayers, novenas, Bible readings, and meditation. The organization is intuitive, making it simple to access daily readings, pray the rosary, or find guided meditations for special seasons like Lent and Advent. Plus, the spiritual sleep stories are a wonderful way to wind down. I highly recommend this app to anyone looking to deepen their faith and spiritual practice!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Rushed

*2026-08-16, version 1.34.2*

Couldn’t stand the narration in the rosary prayers, they sounded rushed & as if their hearts aren’t really in it. Like if it was a chore.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2026-01-14, version 1.28.1*

I used this everyday until it updated and wants to read to me instead of letting me read it. It’s hard to stop after it starts reading. I don’t like the pop up ads. I am going to cancel this app.

### 1/5 — One prayer demoralizes women

*2025-03-09, version 1.22.0*

One prayer (that I listened to) prays for the strength to resist the “spells of women”….so disappointed that women are still grouped with sin. We are humans and do not deserve that. I deleted this app because that is offensive.

### 1/5 — Lack of transcripts

*2025-01-21, version 1.22.0*

How I can understand without voice?

### 1/5 — App closes upon opening

*2024-11-26, version 1.21.2*

After the last update the app opens then immediately closes

### 1/5 — Used to be a wonderful app!

*2024-01-26*

I have been using the Amen app since it was released. I absolutely loved it and recommended it to many other Catholics. However recently, apparently after some design changes, I’ve found it very difficult and frustrating to use. The app allows my device to time out and go to sleep in the middle of a recording. I’m forced to focus on keeping the device from going to sleep instead of focusing on the app content. I brought this issue to the attention of the developers and was told that I should change the global device settings for going to sleep to give the app more time to play its content. Well that seems like the tail (an app) wagging the dog (global setting for the device). The content length varies and to completely eliminate the issue for all possible content lengths it would require disabling the battery saving feature. No other content playing app I’ve ever encountered has allowed my device to go to sleep while it was playing content. Maybe I’m too sheltered or too easily distracted, but the usefulness of the app to me has vanished. I’m currently looking for a substitute. It was wonderful while it lasted. Thank you for that!

**Developer response:** UPDATED 2/22/24: Oh goodness, I am so sorry to hear you are disappointed in Amen and the time-out feature for sleep stories. We are an audio app, without videos, only still artwork so most people do not look at the app once the audio starts playing. I will share your feedback with the Amen team. Again, I do apologize and am sorry to see you go.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and providing us with a five-star review. We love sharing God's word and being part of your walk with Him! Blessings! 🙌

### 2/5 — Episode counter doesn’t update

*2026-07-12, version 1.33.1*

I’m using the Bible in a Year feature. The times when I’d like to listen to several episodes in a row, the app doesn’t mark the second onwards as done, so there’s no seamless continuity. This seems to also be true of those topics that are divvied into many episodes. Very frustrating.

Secondarily, I started listening to a talk on Ignatian prayer that was divided into 30 episodes. It’s so broken up that it’s impossible to listen to. Really bad idea to break up this talk in this manner.

### 2/5 — It’s all audio

*2025-09-23, version 1.27.1*

This Bible doesn’t give you much other than some videos and audio. Plays background music that you can’t stop.

### 2/5 — Major glitches,

*2025-08-31, version 1.26.2*

For some reason the app has been spamming me notifications so far I've gotten 50+ in the span of 2 minutes and it won't stop, gonna have to uninstall to make it stop, other than that app is not friendly for beginners to religion

### 2/5 — 41 notifications in one morning for daily mass readings

*2025-06-06, version 1.25.1*

I do love the app. I just installed it last night and it’s exactly what I was looking for. But this morning I have a barrage of notifications for daily mass readings that are still getting sent (50 now). There is nowhere in the app setting as to adjust them. I don’t want to turn them off entirely in settings

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love this App

*2026-09-01, version 1.36.0*

I love all the content, which helps me on different times of the day stay focused on what’s important 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️🥰

### 5/5 — Great for your prayer life!

*2026-08-31, version 1.35.0*

This app is awesome! I love that it’s free and has so many different options to listen to. I love the daily readings and think an awesome addition would be to include a blurb with the verses so I can find them in my Bible and follow along

### 5/5 — Love This‼️

*2026-08-30, version 1.35.0*

My son sent this to me..🙏🏻

### 5/5 — It’s Worth It!!!!

*2026-08-27, version 1.35.0*

I have grown closer to God in many ways. Nowadays I find it hard to go to mass bc I’m very busy but this helps ,and I’m falling asleep waaaaaayyyy better. I’m feeling less anxious during the day and finding more time time to pray (that rymed😁). Anyway I think this app is overall incredible and definitely worth the download. Plus its a nonprofit, I mean what’s not good abt a nonprofit!!! Love this app five stars!!!!!

### 5/5 — Helps me staying close to my Lord 🙏🏼

*2026-08-26, version 1.35.0*

I love the Amen app and I listen to it daily.
I wish the creators can add more sleep stories as that section is what I listen the most.

### 5/5 — I use it daily

*2026-08-18, version 1.34.2*

I used to use a different app for the daily rosary but uninstalled that one because of the people financially backing the app. I found Amen and it has everything I need. I wish the daily Rosary for sleep could be just 1 mystery at a time so I can do it daily without having to scroll through the track to get to the day’s mystery and toggle the length to get the others.

### 5/5 — Review of amen

*2026-08-04, version 1.34.1*

This is a wonderful app that helps me sleep learn more about the gospel and helps me interpret everything to the creators who made this thank you so much

### 5/5 — Where has this awesome app been?!😆

*2026-07-24, version 1.34.0*

Wonderful, quality content. Useful in so many ways. May Jesus shine His wondrous face upon the creators and maintainers of this app. It has been an excellent edition to my morning routing. The bible in a year that is just the Word with no commentary has been a favourite of mine.

Finding deep features like ambient background of Kyrie Eleison playing when I open the app. So cool! This app is holy. Set apart for sure.

Only feature request would be if you watch a one off BIY by search it tracks that progress in topics BIY. Potentially homepage suggestions of progress to make it a bit easier to pick up where you left off!

Thank you again!🙏🏼

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-07-10, version 1.33.1*

I enjoy this app would love to have Bible in a Year in Spanish. Would also enjoy more Spanish content.

### 5/5 — Great Resource!

*2026-07-06, version 1.33.1*

For a free resource, this app is insane.
