However my weather no longer loads for a while now! There is one improvement, however, that in my view would make it a five-star app. Under Christian religious holidays, the app provides the dates of most holidays observed by Protestants and Catholics. It would be great if it could include Orthodox Christian holidays. At the very least, providing the date for Pascha, or “Orthodox Easter,” would be very helpful. It’s hard to use, the interface is terrible, and it doesn’t have a lot of location options. So unless you only want to see big cities, it’s worthless. I downloaded this for the weather forecasting feature and this feature is terrible. It gives you a range of temperatures which I feel is worthless. I wanted an app that gave a more decent forecast not something that just gave a wide ranging guess at the weather. I don’t like to turn it on unless there is a good reason. If the app needs to look up info based on location, can’t we enter that info in manually? I like to look up info about other places too anyway. I know it’s kind of over the top to give this a one star because of that one reason, but this tiny thing is literally keeping me from checking out the rest of the app. As in, the pop-up won’t go away unless I have location services enabled. ### 2/5 — Not worth it *2017-08-31, version 4.4* It's a completely basic app. There's nothing on it you can't google. The horoscope says "the stars and planets will not effect your life in any way"(for every sign) its cheep looking and they offer you to be a part of a "beta test" for a new game, Don't do it!! I was spammed with 30 phone calls from crap adverts! There is on good thing about it, the planting calendar for your zone. They repeat all year all. Example: Palm Sunday is not in June, etc ### 3/5 — 7 day forecast *2019-12-07, version 4.5.1* 7 day forecast quit working when the IOS 13 update came out. Still not working. Might be ok for a free app but not one that was purchased. ### 3/5 — Correction *2018-04-05, version 4.5* There used to be a way to contact Tod. Apparently, no longer. There is a major error in the 2018 Jewish Calendar re dates. Need to check and change. Thank you. Still no response or correction re Jewish holidays. I am extremely disappointed at lack of any answer. ### 3/5 — It's okay... *2018-04-01, version 4.5* My intent of this application is basically for redundancy and averaging. As an example I normally use several weather apps (minimum three) from different sources, then take an average of what the weather could potentially be. My intent was to do the same specifically for the weather almanac feature to best understand what the weather could be historically. Keep in mind, there is no exact science when it comes to predictability, so I am not judging this app on this. * The application looks nice, but it's truoly a nice ported web interface design. The advantage is it's clean and easy to read, but the disadvantage is it's not good for power users who want a lot of information and quick navigation to get the data they need. * The content is by far the "most off" of my two other weather almanacs I use, but that's the reason I have it. I need to get averages, so this is good. * I do not like how you are either locked-in to their geo-location option or manual option. It should have an easy access "geolocate" me button like any other application out there. Also, the database of locations is restriced/limited to major cities only, which is a big shortcomming for me. I need to know by the city-level their recordered weather, not by the next major city, as any geological formations like foothills or bluffs can make difference. Overall, this is an okay application, but the interface could be cleaned up or have better configurations to best customize for an individual. The data is questionable, but still usable (note: I have only been able to test the weather and not any other features). The location search with automatic and manual options is archaic and should be updated. It's not worth price/value for what you get. I would think this would be more of a 99¢ app. That being said, I do not use this as a primary resource and used for averaging from differenct sources. I would not recommend this as a primary application and you would be better served with more sophiscated, customizable applciations and/or websites that do exactly the same thing. This app covers so much about weather, astronomy, history, folklore, and more! It is one of my top ‘go to’ apps. No need to worry about a app that never gets updates or just exist to take up space. I can’t recall how long I’ve had this app but it is always here and always updates. The design and information is a valuable asset to have if only for general knowledge. I have learned a lot about things I never knew or just took for granted. The boundaries of information are unlimited and I would never hesitate to pay for the updates if needed.
