Then I had problems with just about all newsstand apps. This app is serviceable and working. The content is good on the subject of fly fishing. Decent application of the magazine but could use a portrait mode and some new iPad features like videos and special features that take advantage of the iPad. ### 1/5 — Does not work! *2014-09-30, version 1.0.12* I have reinstalled three times. I subscribe to multiple magazines digitally including FlyTyer and American Angler. They aren’t even visible in the new app! I can’t see anything from 2014 to 2019, and when I try to restore purchases, it spins for a minute and eventually times out. I want what I paid for! When I purchased an iPad Air II, I thought I would subscribe to the iPad edition. iTunes allowed me to purchase a 1 year subscription and get the first issue. I believe this a Newsstand issue and not any problem with American Angler. I have subscribed to Cooking Light Magazine on my first generation iPad for several years. Since I got upgraded to Newsstand I haven’t been able to get my magazine on my iPad Air II. I know my subscription is still good because the print edition came in the mail yesterday. Maybe Newsstand should take some lessons from Zinio and make their app work as seamlessly as Zinio does. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — American Angler Magazine *2020-01-26, version 7.0.31* I have purchased 26 issues of digital editions of American Angler Magazine. All but one at a price of $3.99 per copy, one at $1.99 per copy. These purchases were made from 2015 through 2018; the editions I purchased were dated from 2013 through 2018. I cannot access any of the digital editions I purchased and own since American Angler updated their app. I have repeatedly emailed the American Angler customer service department about my problem. Guess what, no help, no response! After several months the publisher of American Angler called me from a meeting he was attending in Alaska and told me the issues they were having with their new app. He asked me to be patient and promised me they would find a solution. A few days ago I received an email from American Angler’s customer service department explaining to me how I can now access my content. It worked! I love the new app. It took a little time but American Angler stood behind their product.
