It looks old, it works, but doesn’t seem to be made for 2026 or iPhone. Other than that, I love the air conditioning and love the ease of having control in my fingertips! ### 4/5 — Great! With some room for improvement. *2026-07-08, version 8.14.0* I’ve been very impressed with the American Standard Home app. It’s intuitive, easy to navigate, and creating automations is straightforward. Overall, it’s been a great experience. I do have a few suggestions that would make it even better: * Please display the temperature and humidity readings from the remote sensors. Since those sensors are already collecting the data, it would be extremely helpful for homeowners and HVAC professionals to see it. * Expand automation support with Apple HomeKit. Deeper HomeKit integration would add a lot of value for those of us invested in the Apple ecosystem. * Allow users to export runtime history as CSV files, similar to Ecobee. This data is incredibly valuable for analyzing system performance and can help HVAC professionals properly size replacement equipment. In many cases, long-term runtime data from an existing system provides insights that complement—and sometimes more accurately reflect real-world conditions than—a Manual J load calculation alone. Overall, this is an excellent app with a clean interface and easy-to-use automation features. A few additions like these would make it one of the best smart thermostat apps available. ### 3/5 — Insecure *2026-05-23, version 8.13.0* Thermostat keeps resetting itself to very cold temperatures. Thank you Otherwise, love this App ### 3/5 — Thermostat doesn’t maintain temperature *2026-05-10, version 8.12.0* It’s cold so you check the thermostat and it’s 2 degrees colder than the temperature set. So you set it up a degree and then you’re too because the house temperature is now higher than the thermostat setting. So much for buying an expensive variable rate AC that’s supposed to keep the temperature level rather than up and down like a 2-cycle AC. ### 3/5 — More time periods *2026-05-09, version 8.12.0* I would like to see 10 time periods available per day. Also not showing air handler speed is kinda weird as the info shows on the actual thermostat. Can’t even load a device or connect to WiFi bad! The one function that I did use on a daily basis and really liked was the runtime history, and that no longer works for some unknown reason. Tried to use the app a few months later and was locked out after changing my password. Says my unit is not connected. I can only assume the update reset the app and now I have to start over. The interface and ability to connect onto WiFi is like using early 2000 tech. It is over complicated. I have to turn off my my cellular to try to connect to wifi and it still doesn’t work. The schedule looks like it was developed by a second year software developer. Just let me hook up an ecobee, simple straight forward and modern.
