Then I have to call EACH time I want to sign in to my account. Which takes forever. And they don’t have 24/7 help so if you have an issue, you can’t access anything until business hours. ### 2/5 — Perfectly Mid *2025-03-03, version 6.0.0.3955* Ultimately the app does most of what I need, but it can be buggy at times and has a rather clunky design. My biggest gripe is that it simply will not keep me logged in. This combined with the 3-step login makes it a very annoying problem. I was at a branch filling out a deposit slip and nowhere on the app does this number exist. The teller couldn’t find it on the app either. All deposit and withdrawal values displayed in black, tiny type without color. Check deposit process is now a multi-screen affair with every individual step on its own screen and small buttons. It would be great if debit card control and Zelle for business was included. In addition, as others have mentioned, it would be awesome to be able to link external accounts for EFT transfers. Last thing, please update the Online sign on process. The need for a Company ID is silly. As such we have a rubber stamp with our business name on it which we apply to the back side of customers’ check rather than signature. Because it still applies!!! The FACIAL RECOGNITION had started being an option a little while after this review, it was great, however when I changed phones the app no longer has it as an option. I don’t get it. We need FACIAL RECOGNITION!!! Also, there is still no easier, quicker, more streamlined way to deposit checks. Each check deposit still kicks you out and back to your home screen when finished, where you must click through again that you understand, twice, and then get started on your next deposit, and it does that for every check. So, come on y’all!! FACIAL RECOGNITION IS NEEDED, and the check deposit process needs revision still. Original review— I’m a new Ameris customer, coming from Bank of America. I switched over because Ameris is local but BOA is not anymore. I had trouble creating and logging in to my Ameris account, it wasn’t seamless and smooth, security issues, and I had to make numerous phone calls to customer support and go into the branch, but everything did get sorted. I have suggestions for the app, because BOAs mobile app just functioned a little better and the layout is also very nice. As far as logging in, FACIAL RECOGNITION needs to be an option! All this typing your password every time you log in, is just unnecessary. Typos happen even when you know your info, so it just adds a layer of unnecessary frustration. As far as mobile/snap deposits... having to go through two screens of how to deposit, EVERY time you deposit, another layer of unnecessary stuff. Maybe the first time you log into the app, but not every single time you deposit. Too much. Also, you don’t have the option to deposit another check, instead, each check you deposit kicks you out of the deposit part, sends you back home, where you must then click back through the two unnecessary screens of “how to” take a picture of your check! Maybe, just add a couple buttons at the bottom of the deposit screen, “make another deposit” and “done.” Kicking you out and back to the Home Screen every time and having to click through the how tos every time is, again, too much!! A few kind of minor kinks, that become major when you are doing business and using your app regularly. I would love to see those issues addressed. Facial Recognition for log in and better flow for mobile check deposits. In an age of AI when you can build strong user friendly interfaces this one is the worst user experience. I’m not sure how anyone could give it 5 stars. ### 1/5 — Close you accounts before it happens to you.. *2025-05-23, version 6.0.5861* Just closed my business account yesterday.. because this bank yanked $1000.00 right out of my account.. under the guides of that’s how the system is set up. if I didn’t have the funds in my account.. and I used my card.. it would decline my card.. and if I did have the funds in my account I was only able to use up to $500.00 limit.. me as the account holder.. but.. if anyone else processed a payment.. it would go through.. and was able to charge me what ever.. and this nice bank would let the charges go through.. as long as it wasn’t me it was ok.. even if I was unaware of the charges.. those charges just kept accumulating.. I go to the bank to try to dispute the charges.. and they preferred to loose my business instead of making things right.. they are thieves.. and don’t know how to do business.. ### 1/5 — Login issues *2024-11-22, version 6.0.0.3955* - Frequently forgets all your login credentials - login errors saying access denied - Face ID often doesn’t work Pretty bad to not have access to my business account info. ### 1/5 — Basic inability to save credentials and get FaceID to work *2024-11-17, version 6.0.3660* I was a customer of Fidelity Bank before Ameris acquired them, and I've experienced significant frustrations with their app. For years, Fidelity struggled to integrate FaceID functionality effectively, even after the feature was released. Now, with this new version of the app that claims to support FaceID, it's disappointing that it still doesn't save my login information. What's the point of having FaceID if I continually have to search for my customer ID, remember my username, and recall my password just to re-enable it? Ameris needs to ensure they hire competent developers who can implement basic features like credential saving and seamless FaceID functionality, which are standard in other banking apps. ### 1/5 — Worst online banking app *2024-10-25, version 4681240249.2.2* The app has little to no information. I almost never have had to do that with any other company with setting up online. Today I had to take time outta the day to stop in a branch to get all situated.
