Amethyst is a minimalist writing app for novelists. We give you the tool and remove the friction, so you can just write. 

Built mobile-first, so there is nothing standing between your idea and the blank page.

- Prose Check is off by default until you ask for it, and categories can be switched on or off individually. Hunt down one habit at a time. Amethyst never rewrites or corrects your prose for you, and this feature is 100% algorithmic and uses no Generative AI for suggestions.

    - Now, Storytellers can keep track of characters, events, locations, and more in the new Projects tab. Currently, Characters and Locations can be added. In the future, more categories will be made available. Please look forward to it. 

UI / UX: 

• Sharing: Storytellers can now Share their work in progress on SNS directly from the app. No more screenshotting and hunting for the shot! Simply tap the “Share” button in your Novel view and tap “Share Progress”. 
• Search: A search function has been added to the Novel editor view

- Chapters in the Novel View should be easier to distinguish at a glance across all Themes
- Minor fixes to individual themes in accordance with WCAG guidelines. 
- Further tweaks to individual themes and unlock displays. 
- Unlocked themes should now correctly display their associated author quote. 
- Tool and menu icons should be clearer app-wide 
- Storytellers can now set their own daily writing goal in Settings under the Writing category. 
- Progress tracking revised for clarity and sharing 

Performance: 

- Corrects an issue where the editing toolbar may vanish while typing
- Corrects an issue where the editing toolbar may not display the format of selected text (Bold, Italic, etc)
