You have to pay just to message people, and there’s no free trial to check if you want to continue with payment if it’s even worth it. If it’s called amigos and you can’t even meet people without just randomly showing up somewhere (which is super risky) what’s even the point? **Developer response:** Hi Karina! You can join or host activities completely for free and chat with other amigos that joined the activity in the group chat before you meet! This is an unbelievable violation of your privacy and there is no option to turn location sharing off! DO NOT GET THIS APP, I fear there could be nefarious intent behind it. **Developer response:** Hi amigo, we take your safety and privacy very seriously. Your exact location is never visible in the app, since we always use a safety offset so no one can see your precise spot. 🔒 You can also set your status to not visible, so you won’t appear on the map at all. People you haven’t connected with at all. Literally everyone can see where you live. I could zoom in on my neighbourhood and see the exact house people were in, along with their profile photo and name. There didn’t seem to be any option to remove your location with the free account. There’s also no restriction on who can send messages to anyone on the app so I was receiving unsolicited messages from strange men the day it went live in my city, before I realized they could also see exactly where I lived. This app is not safe for women. I deleted my account right away. **Developer response:** Hi amigo! Don’t worry, your exact location is never visible in the app. We’ve built in a safety offset so no one can ever see your precise spot. 🔒 And you can always change your mood to 'not visible', so you won’t appear on the map at all. Missing a single event shouldn’t lead to a temporary block. Amigos is all about meeting people through real-life activities, and hosts often rely on the RSVPs they receive when organizing something. When people don’t show up, that can be disappointing for them and for the group, too. So, if someone RSVPs to multiple events and repeatedly doesn’t show up, this can lead to reports.
