RIP amino 💔 ### 2/5 — Should Have Ended Years Ago *2025-12-28* I’m not giving this whack app 5 stars and a negative review. It gets negative ratings AND a negative review. Probably because this app has a different developer that it’s still up. The ACM app itself was fine and useful, which is why it gets 2 stars. But I am so glad… so so glad that Amino is finally over. It’s been a bad community for years and should have been gone years ago. It was a great place maybe circa 2017 and getting to meet new people, but between the “managers” who went on ego trips in certain communities and the people who used to this as a way to prey on people… this app ran its course and it is the end of an era. I’ll miss Amino in a way… cause I did meet people who I’m so glad have graced my life, but I am relieved that Amino is completely gone. I might keep this ACM app as a memory. So many of my best and worst childhood memories were on the Amino App. From making friends to losing them, Amino was there for all of it. It’s kind of hard to believe Amino is gone but at the same time, I’m not surprised it’s discontinued. It was kind of a long time coming. Maybe something new will come up someday, but as of now, RIP Amino ### 5/5 — Oh Amino… *2025-12-13* With Amino presumably shut down for good, and somehow this app still standing… This site changed my life so very much. I many positive experiences, and few negatives. This site taught me how to be a leader, and take charge. It also gave me two amazing friends that I’m still close with today. You were horrible at times, with all the glitches and the horrid bots as you slowly died, but you were special. So thank you for being a major part of my life. Why are they not working anymore what is going on? Why is app shutdown what hell is going on? ### 5/5 — Not Amino :( *2026-01-14* I’ve been a member of Amino Poetry since 2017 and this is where I was able to grow and be myself the most with a community of like-minded creative writers. I made some of the best poet friends and the loveliest of relationships; which kept me in strength and always true to myself not the façade of the world. Not sure what happened, but thank you Amino creator for allowing many to plug into a unique group which they could build nice memories and always have a space to explore and enjoy being human.
