### 5/5 — Love this app

*2013-12-14, version 1.30.2*

Keeps info securely stored and provides you with precise details regarding quantity, make, model/grain, etc. on individual and aggregate format. Well worth the purchase. Easy to use. Nice interface and easy on the eyes.

### 4/5 — Very useful app

*2013-05-06, version 1.20*

I am an avid target shooter and gun enthusiast who is constantly using and replenishing ammunition and trying to keep track of purchases is a nightmare! UNTIL THIS APP came along-it is very easy to use and does exactly what I need it to do. The ability to specify how many rounds bought versus how many rounds used and then have it calculate the total of remaining ammunition is very convenient. Only have it a 4 out of 5 is because I would like to see the app be able to keep track of muzzle energy and velocity for each type of ammo, as well as give a grand total of all ammo in your inventory and last but not least expand on the gun inventory by allowing you to add more detail about the firearms and to add pictures in case if your weapon is lost or stolen as it will make it easier for folks to report to authorities. Other than that- FANTASTIC APP and I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who is a gun enthusiast!!

### 4/5 — Great app, could use cloud data sharing

*2013-04-18, version 1.10*

Great app from what I have seen so far in my use of it. The main thing I wish it could do is use ICloud to sync the database between devices. I have an IPad and an IPhone and wish it would automatically have the same data. There is a way to share the data by using a "backup by e-mail" and back it up to your e-mail on one device and restore from e-mail on the other device, but it's a couple of extra steps I wish were automatic.

It would be great if it had a function to scan in the barcode of a box of ammo and have it look at the pertinent data to add it to your list of ammo (or increment the quantity of boxes of ammo if it already exists in your database).

### 4/5 — Great App!

*2013-03-31, version 1.10*

This is a must have app for shooters! Been wanting to inventory for a long time and this really pushed me to do it! However, would like to see a pass code protection! If it had that it would get 5 stars!!!

### 2/5 — Ok needs work

*2015-02-24, version 1.60*

App is good if you only purchase ammo from the store.
A tutorial would be good. It took a bit of messing with to figure everything out.
The bought at tag is useless for reloads. Developer assumes you will only use store bought ammo.
A better solution would to be able to select between Reloads or store bought. Then label reloads as pistol or rifle etc.
The amount shot is on this app.
App needs a bit more flexibility to get more stars.

### 3/5 — Functional app with potential

*2016-05-27, version 1.70*

App is ok. Could be better if scanner is added.

### 3/5 — Nice app, but really needs scanner

*2016-02-28, version 1.70*

I like this app, but don't use it because I cannot scan in/out ammo. Rather I use an app that is totally unrelated to firearms called Prep & Pantry only because it allows me to scan barcodes. Implement that capability and then you have yourself a useful firearms app.

### 3/5 — bad

*2014-11-04, version 1.51*

Ok, I gave this 1 star. I will change it to 3 stars. Still not a fan of the app. It is not easy to use. It is not pretty! but is does kinda work. only kinda.

Well I tried this app. Not user friendly, not easy to use. NOT WORTH IT. The app came with ammo, now if it was real ammo in my hand then great! but no, just makes you delete the ammo and guns already loaded! Hard to use, limited number of calibers listed.

### 4/5 — Works well enough

*2016-03-23, version 1.70*

Would be cool if it helped track reloads better

### 4/5 — Great App. 5 stars if scanner is added

*2016-01-30, version 1.70*

Great app I like the functionality of it and the reports, which can be generated. It would be great if a scanner for easier input could be added.

### 4/5 — Pretty good!

*2014-03-26, version 1.30.3*

Heard about this app on a forum that I frequent (THR) and thought I'd try. It did not disappoint! Tracks ammo quantities and rounds fired in firearms as intended. Only knock I have on it is that sometimes it updates ammo count instantly, but others it won't update until you quit the app and restart it.

### 4/5 — Great App

*2013-06-30, version 1.20.02*

It is a great little App and fairly simple to use. The only thing that would make it better is if you could barcode scan your ammo.

### 4/5 — Good Start

*2013-06-12, version 1.20.02*

Ammo Base is a solid app, and I've been using it for about a month. I'd like to be able to enter rounds used by the individual rounds rather than by the boxes used.

I'd also appreciate a glossary on all the ammo types, way more options than I'm familiar with.

More color options would add some visual appeal as well.

Overall I'd recommend the app.

### 4/5 — Good Ammo Log App

*2013-06-01, version 1.20.02*

Pretty easy to use and has instructions if you need it. Took me about 5 minutes and I figured it out without needing to read the instructions. Needs to mods to make it 5 stars.

First: this app needs password protection for sure. If you lose your phone/tablet anyone can see what guns you have and ammo cache...not good.

Second: it would be nice to take a pic of the ammo boxes and link then with your ammo groups. Some people like the ease of visual reference.

Once they get this done they could do a few more things to get this app rocking!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great database!!

*2024-11-06, version 1.95*

Not difficult to understand on how to use. It will take you a few minutes to get familiar, but once you do, it’s a great record keeping tool. I use it primarily for my ammo.

### 5/5 — Know your ammo supply

*2021-10-08, version 1.83*

I have used this app for years because it works. I maintain a substantial amount of a variety of ammo. Just set it up and tweak it to the level of details that suit your needs and then forget about it. The only ammo on-hand balance error’s I’ve ever encountered were because of me failing to update the database. I don’t use the program to track my guns, only the ammo. Great little program.

### 5/5 — Knowing Is Half The Battle

*2019-07-08, version 1.83*

I like to pick-up ammo when a good deal comes by, rather than wait till I’m nearly out and have to pay for whatever I can find. This app lets me easily track my inventory, and keep tabs on round count through each gun.

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2017-07-10, version 1.72*

This is an organizational tool, and it works very well. It's a bit rough, not the smoothest layout, but when you understand the way the app works, it's very precise and clear. I'm a huge fan.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2015-11-18, version 1.70*

Perfect for keeping track of ammo and guns. Great app!

### 5/5 — Handy app for keeping track of ammo supplies

*2014-10-03, version 1.50*

App is easy to work with and has lots functionality for tracking ammo supply. iPhone version is handy use when in store or on the range.

### 5/5 — Love this app.

*2014-05-10, version 1.30.6*

It helps me keep track of SO MUCH firearm and ammunition related information. Great app. I just wish I could save info and email it between Apple devices. That way I wouldn't have to repopulate all of this info between apps on iPhone and iPad.

### 5/5 — Fantastic!

*2014-05-01, version 1.30.6*

Makes tracking ammo inventories a breeze.

### 5/5 — Great AP for guns.

*2014-04-03, version 1.30.3*

Great AP For keeping track of guns & pre-made ammo. The backup to/restore from Dropbox allows updating multiple devices with ease. I like to use my iPad4 to enter data, but my iPhone to verify what I have at gun stores. his makes it so easy.
I'd like to see a reloading database added, where powder data, bullet data, primer data & performance data could be kept track of.

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2014-04-02, version 1.30.3*

Allows you to track ammo inventory, purchases and events of use. Plus guns! Works great!
