Just say I want a ‘Rent or Mortage’ Space. I have to move money back out of them to use the funds. This is tediously manual, risks me forgetting before a due date and goes against your stated goal of convenience. You should be able to direct debit from specific spaces with virtual card numbers or account numbers for the space. Your underlying platform can do this, so you should enable that if you want this to be really excellent vs just ok. Nice UI though. Convinced my wife to also use AMP go but can’t download the app to her iPhone 7 as it requires iOS 16. Is there a fix that doesn’t require buying a new phone? ### 4/5 — direct deposits notifications needed asap! *2026-07-12, version 1.69.0* Great app with an excellent UI! I especially love the colour scheme and, most importantly, the dark mode option. Too many other banking apps have bright white backgrounds that are harsh on the eyes, so it’s great to see AMP Bank Go offering a dark theme. My only issue is that there are currently no notifications when you receive a payment, whether it’s your wages being deposited or someone sending you money. Not getting notified at all is a bit of a downside, and I think this is a pretty important feature. It would be great to see this added in the next update. Other than that, keep up the great work, AMP Bank Go! I’m looking forward to seeing even more features added in future updates. ### 3/5 — Glitch *2026-07-03, version 1.68.0* Every time I open the App, it asks me to update the app and takes me to the App Store. I use the latest version of the app. Please check as it looks like this app is not secure. ### 4/5 — Let me pick my categories please! *2026-06-29, version 1.67.0* Two suggestions to get to five stars. 1. Let me add my own transaction categories (like Taxes) and remove the ones I won’t use (like Coffee). 2. Support as many data integration standards as possible. Some financial aggregators do not recognise AMP Bank GO, even though they do support AMP Banking, AMP Wealth, etc. Otherwise super happy. ### 4/5 — One minor gripe *2026-06-03, version 1.63.0* Love the AMP Bank GO app! Very slick UI, moved my banking from Macquarie to AMP GO recently but I have one minor gripe with the app and that is when transferring between my own accounts the requirement to add a reference. It can’t be left blank and I move money between the savings account and primary account very often, sometimes several times a day and needing to type a reference that also seems to block autocorrect and predictive text is mildly frustrating. If this could be removed it would make things much simpler and quicker and then it would be a 5 star review ### 3/5 — For business 5 star if Xero, 1 star if MYOB. *2026-05-18, version 1.61.3* I’m with MYOB so after setting up all my accounts and merchant etc, the final step was bank feeds from MYOB. After contacting support the answer is no. Not even manual uploads in QIF. Thats a deal breaker. I had Xero - I’m not going back to that overpriced system. - so great app and system if you have Xero. A no go for MYOB users. Should be written somewhere… ### 3/5 — Good app, but please create a version compatible with MacOS *2026-04-04, version 1.55.2* I’ve been using this app for about a year, and it is reasonably good. But I would love the app developer to make it compatible as an app for MacOS. I have a vision impairment that makes it difficult to see some things on the iPhone, so am using my Mac more and more. Please consider making a version compatible with MacOS, please 🙏 ### 2/5 — Nedds more work *2026-02-28, version 1.51* App need password while sending money which is bit frustating. Probably a biometric login would have made it lot easier. Cant generate income letter, cant make direct deposits to saving account and the way home screen is managed is quite fuzzy. Card section showing add to apple pay after being added to. You cant maintain any app settings.spending showing internal trasfers as well. No reason given. Here is the amateurish rejection notification: We can't open an account for you After reviewing your application, we've decided we won't be able to offer you an AMP Bank account right now. We're sorry - we know this might be disappointing. There are several reasons why we might have to decline an application, including our internal policies and procedures, as well as information provided during the application process. We understand you might want to know more about how we made our decision, but unfortunately we can't give you any details. We also can't change this decision. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Slowest application process *2026-08-06, version 1.71.0* I do not recommend wasting your time if you are interested in opening a bank account with AMP. They are extremely slow at processing applications. ### 1/5 — Terrible bank *2026-07-10, version 1.69.0* I would strongly advise against banking with AMP Bank. My account was locked for two weeks without any clear communication. After it was finally unlocked, I discovered I still couldn’t transfer money out of the account or use my funds to make purchases. My money is effectively trapped, despite the account supposedly being accessible again. The customer service experience has been extremely disappointing. I’ve been calling throughout the week and keep getting the same response: there is “no timeframe” for my case to be reviewed because it’s handled on a “case-by-case basis.” No one has been able to provide a meaningful update, an explanation, or an estimated resolution time. Having your own money inaccessible for weeks is unacceptable, and the lack of transparency and accountability has made the experience even more frustrating. I expected far better from a bank. Until AMP Bank improves its communication and resolves customer issues in a timely manner, I cannot recommend banking with them. ### 1/5 — Worst bank app *2026-06-30, version 1.67.0* 0 stars ### 1/5 — Scheduled payments *2026-06-18, version 1.65.0* Please make setting up scheduled payments more easy and intuitive to set up. I can’t just make one without going through multiple hoops. Scheduled payments, add payment, select/add account, set date and amount, done. Stay away from me. ### 1/5 — Authoritarian overreach remove crypto bans now *2026-05-16, version 1.60.0* This bank’s crypto bans are authoritarian and unacceptable. Blocking lawful crypto transactions, whether blanket or targeted, treats customers like subjects, not adults. It’s arbitrary, punitive, and stifles innovation, small businesses, and personal financial freedom. The bank should stop policing lawful payment choices and respect customers’ rights. I need it to be Inverted. ### 1/5 — AMP Go ruined my interest income *2026-03-03, version 1.51* I opened an AMP Go account in February 2026, while already having an AMP Saver account. I wasn’t warned that 47% tax would be withheld on interest if my TFN wasn’t added for the new account. I deposited $249,000, and the tax was taken just minutes before I could update my TFN. AMP support confirmed the tax was already paid, and the ATO said I can only claim it in my 2025/2026 tax return months later. This means over six months without earning interest on my only income. This app has amazed me so far, and the changes made via customer feedback have been great. I truly look forward to what’s next. If I’m able to suggest some things, it would be: - Visible Qantas points total on main screen, similar to ANZ+ - BSB and Acct number for saver - Ability to have multiple payid phone numbers - less steps to transfer money internally - amp super balance as an option Apart from that, please keep the sleek design and colors. There’s no fees on international withdrawals or transactions. Made lots of different transaction types, different merchants, ATM withdrawals, mobile wallet etc. All worked perfectly without fault and I appreciated the Apple Watch notification that immediately told me what I’d spent in AUD.
