GeniaAl xoOX ### 2/5 — Brilliant concept, left to break and rot *2025-11-18, version 2.61.0* The AMPLIFi product line fit perfectly into my living room music lifestyle, enriching life with instruments in social settings that would otherwise be limited to passive background music. The physical product sounds great as a Bluetooth speaker, works as a computer recording interface, and makes playing along new and fun. The flexibility and selection of effects shines even when compared to a newer Spark amp. Allowing the community to contribute tones and popularity to dictate easy access is another example of how much fun and practicality this system could have offered. Sadly this system never worked without crashing or otherwise breaking more than one in 10 times or about ten minutes per hour spent trying. When it was new there were still occasional updates, and I wanted so badly for it to work. I also kept my numerous iPhones/iPads over the years up to date and tried android devices as well. Since we’ve seen that it CAN work, and other Line6 products do work, I was never able to just write this off and stop trying. That’s probably why I’m so bitter that they failed to fix the bugs then stopped trying completely far as I can tell. Ten years later, I’ve only actually been able to enjoy this for a day a month. I never trusted it enough to bring to a gig or jam session. It’s a perfect example of a real shame. Line6, feel free to fix mine so I can get back some small percentage of those wasted hours and lost inspiration 😞 ### 2/5 — Drops Connection *2025-03-12, version 2.61.0* This has a lot of potential but it looks like it was put out and abandoned, which is heart breaking. The amp is great. The only flaw, which is significant and very common, is that the connection between the amp and the remote app drop all the time! As a Bluetooth speaker the connection is fine. It’s the app that can’t sustain a connection for some reason. I’ve updated the firmware on the amp and it still drops a lot. With amp connected to Bluetooth, the app hangs on the splash screen for about a minute then crashes. If I start the app first, then turn on the amp, it works most of the time. Other than the connection issues, I like the amp and the way the signal chain is laid out in the app. ### 1/5 — Poor connectivity *2023-04-07, version 2.61.0* I got this amp and app, hoping it would give me crossover. I need to go to get certain sounds. When it works. It works fine. Most of the time it disconnects in the middle of a session. I have yet, now having it for four months, been able to get through a single session without the app disconnecting, the interesting part of it disconnecting is, it’s only the app that disconnects my brand new iPad stays connected. I can still be playing the backing track / back up music through the amplifier with Bluetooth but the app says it’s not connected. I’ve tried restarting the iPad tablet. still tells me it’s not connected, I think it was a waste of money to purchase the amp. I do not recommend this purchase. La prima è correggere la Stabilità del Collegamento con l’Amplificatore, soprattutto quando si inseriscono le credenziali dell’Account, ma anche in Bluetooth. Ogni tanto esce fuori, quando si cambia schermata dall’iPad e si ritorna sull’App, anche se è comunque aperta l’Applicazione sotto. Per quanto riguarda invece la Funzione che secondo me si potrebbe inserire nell’App è il Test che Controlla i 5 Altoparlanti, esattamente come avviene con i SintoAmplificatori quando si Testano Tutti i Canali con gli Altoparlanti collegati, inviando a loro in Loop un segnale di fondo (Rumore Rosa o Pink Noise). Questo per capire se tutti e 5 gli Altoparlanti (2 Tweeter R+L, 2 Midrange R+L, 1 Woofer C) funzionano Perfettamente. Difficilmente ci si accorge, ad orecchio, se 1 Tweeter o 1 Midrange non funziona. As everyone has said the amp is great but the app is just appallingly bad. It’s not been updated for years, loses connection every five minutes and, therefore, completely destroys the USP for this amp. It is the most expensive paperweight I own now. За полтора года так и сумел выяснить как ими управлять, ползая на коленках. Приложение да - иногда вылетает или долгий дисконнект. Нет поддержки с обновлениями и ремонта багов. Скачал программу, все работает на ура. Огромное количество эффектов и предусилителей. Уже 2 недели балуюсь, приятное тёплое звучание. Подключаю наушники. Так же есть очень крутая особенность для игры дома - программа работает как микшер. Включаю с IPad минус, или метроном и играю. I remember having to login before I could sync anything. But not anymore!!! Whoop whoop Honestly the AMPLIFi 150 is the loudest ~#?!*^& thing I own and I’ve had it for like 7 years now. It’s a great amp and I love it for my music production. I have an iMac placed on top of it in my casa and it’s super stable and again loud. I could have a block party with this thing. One thing I would like to see added is the ability to silence the guitar on the amp and allow my daw or another program redirect the input back out through the midi port or headphone jack. I would like a feature for no effects and no ‘amp’ but full volume as an input channel through a midi but no output and still allowing output through other sources. That would be fire. If guitar tones are as good as this for recording as tho it was a KEMPER Sound.im in..
