The app crashes… ok fine maybe it’s the old phone… I use my iPhone 16 pro and it’s great. Months later i travel with my setup and here I am rehearsing and the app won’t even stay open very long without crashing. I update it… and it’s even worse. Can’t press a button before it crashes. Then found it wouldn’t load. Look up for advice. Would finally load (like it was a glitch). Get tired of dealing with it and find I’m not using it. Months later, nothing works, it doesn’t load at all. Neither this or amplitude app. But this was more reliable than amplitude.Uninstall and reinstall multiple times led to having to sign in, leading to creating multiple sign ins I can’t keep straight because the item that is supposed to do that doesn’t install on the iPhone. It works on my old iPad Pro just fine, but I was expecting to be able to use it on either device when I bought the upgrade. Isn’t there anything the devs can do to fix this? If not, Apple should remove it from the App Store. No idea how it was approved if you can’t even open the app. With that said, the app works great on my iPad Pro, and it sounds amazing. It’s authentic, feels right under the fingers (as much as any digital modeler can today), and is affordable. Really love TONEX a lot. Es stimmt schon, dass die iOS Version in der Enwicklung hinter der Version für PC / Mac liegt und es hier wünschenswert wäre, wenn der Hersteller nachziehen würde. Allerdings ist die App auch so großartig. Wenn man weiß, welchen Amp man will, kommt man auch gut mit der kostenfreien Version klar, da hier einige Downloads in der Tone-Cloud möglich sind. Integration in bekannte DAW-Systeme wie Cubasis funktioniert einwandfrei. Vollste Empfehlung ### 5/5 — Totally Awesome Pure Guitar Tone! *2025-12-03* I bought Tonex Max to create my hybrid pedalboard where I use my analog pedals alongside Tonex Max as plugin hosted by Loopy Pro! Oh man! This thing is so amazing! I have a dual amp setup using the 64’ AC30 TB and AC20 Morgan Deluxe captures both from Worship Tutorials. Com! They are the most amazing tones ever! Control all this via midi with the Xaonic Xtone Pro audio midi interface. I highly recommend Tonex! Developer request: Please make this app ever greater by allowing us to import 3rd Party Captures! Right now i have to do a very hard hack to make this happen and its not fun. MM4C ### 5/5 — Be patient… *2025-09-30* -crashes at startup: maybe check your input device. On my IPad I have to unplug and replug so it sees my device. - the bitter world of logging in: really really try to see if you have a different name associated with your email, maybe something you set up previously, and use it when you’re trying to change the password you forgot. You can’t just plug in a new name. In my case, form kept autofilling the name I’d used before. But it was only 4 letters. I’m thinking that can’t be right, you’re supposed to have 6. Doesn’t matter. Just has to be what you had before! Once you register they’ll bug you for a 6 letter nickname, BUT USE YOUR PREVIOUS NAME ALWAYS TO LOG IN. I’m sure there can be other issues, but this one worked for me. -ALL THIS IS WORTH IT BECAUSE THIS SOFTWARE IS SO EXCRUCIATINGLY GREAT SOUNDING. On the heaviest gain amp models you can pick lightly and get a clean tone, then all the way up to edgy and on to roar. I’ve never experienced such responsiveness in modeling or using distortion pedals that aren’t overdriving a tube amp. Amazing! ### 5/5 — Great Tones *2025-09-01* Five stars because the TONEX Sound is on IOS available. Searched a long time for my mobile setup for good sounding auv3 guitar and soundwise ist great. Sure there could be some improvements e.g. filter for vendors of fx. Can’t wait to see what’s coming with this app, but is usable as it is for sound and feel alone. It works great with iRig HD 2 or Xsonic Xtone on iPadOS 16.1.1 not on 18 tho.
