If someone does not refund my money then I will definately report this issue immidiately. I spoke with someone named Robert who claimed there are more people content with this app than are not; but if that were the case then there wouldn't be such a low rating for this app. The claims that this app can amplify any sounds is a lie; this is a fraudulent application and no one should give their money to these scammers!!!! Robert made absolutely no effort to refund my money and claimed that I was at fault because I was probably not using the correct earphones, even though I made it clear I was using earbuds without a mic and even tried out an expesive pair of Bose earphones which also did not have a mic. I didn't think much of amplitude until I tested it on my deaf partner and it was a huge success. Has enormous potential for hard of hearing but has its best appeal if used with an irig mic. Well executed. *2010-04-13, version 0* Nice application with some slick graphics. There are a few other apps that let you adjust the microphone sensitivity but I like this one the best. You'll be surprised at how much sound you can pick up. The sound wave meter is a cool feature too. I can't speak for other's experiences, but I am hearing impaired, and I have paid over 75$ for electronic equipment that worked half as well so that I could watch a movie with my loved ones without hurting their ears. I will not longer have to constantly ask my wife, what did they say, what did they say, what did they say! Every 10 seconds. I can't afford 5,000 for hearing aids and have tried several alternatives that are bulky, and effected by movement. My Thanks to the Developers, this is a great application, thank you for making such a great hearing enhancement application! The only thing I can't believe is that you sell such a wonderful thing for a buck! Forever Greatful! Mr. Happy ### 5/5 — Works Great with earbuds that do not have a microphone! *2009-07-04, version 0* The first time I tried this app, it didn't seem to work. I was adjusting the volume and the mirophone gain to its maximum levels, but I could not hear sounds from far away. Sounds from nearby were amplified, though. I read through the instructions, the description, and then realized that the developers of the app were assuming that the phone's microphone was the one that would be picking up the sound. I switched to another pair of earbuds that I use with my ipod and it worked! So a message to the developers of the app. Please let people know that they have to use a headset/earbuds that do not have a microphone built in. Since everyone with an iPhone may be using accessories that come with a built-in mic, like the earbuds that come with the phone, this can cause confusion. Otherwise, I can hear conversations across the room, in other offices, and was able to pick up sounds from a busy starbucks. I was able to use it in the lecture hall to hear the guy talking who didn't have a microphone. I'm a musician and I've actually made some cool recordings using this app, by patching the headphone out into a recorder. The iPhone mic is a bit limiting in terms of low frequencies, but this is not Amplitude's faul. My only wish is that the signal didn't get so noisy on the more sensitive settings. Great app though!
