App shows payment at 9:33 I have received a text message from the police saying I have been reported for not paying and that I drove off at 9:29. I really like this app because it makes it easy to refuel without having to get my toddler out of the car. But after this experience I will be looking at other providers. I now have to drive to Ampol and my local police station to get this resolved. ### 1/5 — No value *2026-05-26, version 5.2.1* Unlike other seevice stations apps, theAmpol app doesn’t provide any benefits, or discounts, therefore it’s better to use the competitors for better value ### 1/5 — App issues *2026-05-12, version 5.2.0* This app was working fine, made it easy to fill up and drive away without standing in the queue to pay. It has now stopped working and won’t load ### 3/5 — EV Charging Info Missing *2026-05-03, version 5.2.0* When charging my EV, there is almost no info that is displayed about the charging session (all 0), so don’t know state of charge or price (happened at a bunch of Sydney EV chargers), please fix this. App does work for starting and stopping charging but not good for info about charging sessions. ### 1/5 — Fuel Pay *2026-04-28, version 5.2.0* Well, in the whole state of Tasmania you have 7 fuelpay outlets…all located in Hobart. Seriously Ampol could consider adding more locations around the state. Pointless unless I’m travelling to Hobart from the other end of the state. 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️ ### 1/5 — Worse *2026-04-21, version 5.1.1* Worse app ever with a fake star rating.. how this app have 5 star when all reviews are 1 star u guys worse ever ### 2/5 — Store staff don’t scan app code *2026-03-30, version 5.1.1* The QR code in the app says scan in store when you go into the store they say they cannot scan it and it can only be used in the app so any of the discounts don’t occur. If you pay in store there is no way to use Ampol cash in the app. ### 1/5 — Discount Not working *2026-03-27, version 5.1.1* Fuelpay welcome discount doesn’t work .. perhaps conveniently only rewards discount ### 1/5 — App directs you to cashier but discount disappears *2026-03-14* I tried to pay for fuel through the Ampol app using a 6c/L discount available in my account. The payment failed due to insufficient funds and the app instructed me to go to the cashier to complete the payment. However, when I paid at the counter, the discount could not be applied. I even asked if the transaction could be returned to the app so I could change the payment method, but the staff said it was not possible.
