## What is Amsel?

Amsel – Train your Voice* is designed to help you quickly and easily warm up your voice for speaking or singing. Do a wide variety of speaking, breathing and vocal exercises in 15 minutes or less.

Our favorite features include:
- a database of 360+ exercises, sorted into four difficulty levels
- ease of use: choose your voice range, decide how long you want to train, hit play and just repeat what you hear. (Use the music notes if it helps; everything is shown in C-major for simplicity.)
- acoustic recordings; hear sung examples and sing with a real grand piano – no midi sounds within earshot!
- flexibility to set a focus and let the algorithms sort out the right exercises for you. Choose from Body work / Support, Resonance / Directionality, Vowel uniformity, Combining vocal registers, Agility / Coloratura, Economy of air flow / Legato, Articulation, or any of the vowels.
- an Info-Button that gives you tips about the purpose and goals of every single exercise!

*Amsel – Train your Voice is not meant as a singing tutorial but rather as a “fitness app,” a practical application of instant warm-ups to help you get and keep your voice and body in shape for speaking and singing well. Much like doing sit-ups provides many benefits without needing to understand what exactly they do for your body, doing a few simple voice exercises (such as fricative consonants or those pesky lip bubbles) can help to reinforce positive coordinations in your body that lead to optimal use of your vocal cords. Habe die App runtergeladen und die Premiumversion gekauft. Leider bekomme ich nur Fehlermeldungen und konnte bisher nicht ein einziges Training durchführen. Hätte gern mein Geld zurück.

**Developer response:** Hi Eva, sorry für die verspätete Antwort - wir haben zu dieser Zeit eine komplett neue Version der App veröffentlicht, also mussten Sie wahrscheinlich nur Ihr Abo auf der Optionsseite wiederherstellen. Ich hoffe, Sie konnten diese Schaltfläche finden.

Wie kann die Premiumversion in der App eingestellt werden? Sie funktioniert nicht, obwohl ich schon bezahlt habe. Muss die App dafür neu installiert werden?

**Developer response:** Hi Berennike, sorry für die verspätete Antwort - wir haben zu dieser Zeit eine komplett neue Version der App veröffentlicht, also mussten Sie wahrscheinlich nur Ihr Abo bei den Einstellungen wiederherstellen. Ich hoffe, Sie konnten diesen Knopf finden.

Die App ist eigentlich klasse, aber leider habe ich das premium Abo gekauft, und es funktioniert nicht, weder offline noch mehr als die 3 kostenlosen Trainings sind möglich.

**Developer response:** Lieber Abendwind, vielen Dank für den vielversprechenden Optimismus bezüglich der Amsel-App. Die Übungsbibliothek erfordert immer noch eine ständige Internetverbindung, da sie nicht auf Ihr Gerät heruntergeladen wird, wenn Sie sich für ein Abo anmelden. Wir erwägen die Machbarkeit einer solchen Funktion für die Zukunft. Wenn es ein Problem bei der Anmeldung für den unbegrenzten Zugang gab, sollte Ihr Konto nicht belastet worden sein.

Die App ist ausgesprochen super! 
Allerdings kleine Anmerkung: 
Wenn man WLAN verwendet, rauscht die App durch die Übungsbeispiele in Sekundenschnelle durch und beende das Training, so dass ich am Anfang schon ganz verzweifelt war.
Wenn man allerdings über Mobilfunk über den Datentarif die Übungsbeispiele läd, passiert das nicht, und man kann die Übung wunderbar durchführen. 
Ein großes Lob an die Macher!
Aber vielleicht könnte man das mit dem Laden der Übungen über WLAN noch richten.

Amsel - Stimmbildung ist genau, was ich immer gesucht habe. Sie sollte unter Chorsingenden bekannt sein und genutzt werden. Danke für diese wichtige Arbeit. Ich freue mich schon auf die Weiterentwicklungen. 😋

Kostenlos, super gute und realitätsnahe Übungen Übungen mit großem und individuell anpassbaren Umfang. Nach den ersten Malen ausprobieren wäre ich mit ansprechenderer Optik sogar bereit Geld dafür auszugeben.

Einzige Anmerkung: Manchmal zeigt er mehrere Beispiele hintereinander, und dann nur die letzte als Übung, ich denke mal das ist ein Bug. Und es wäre noch super wenn man einzelne Übungen als Favorit markieren könnte (Aber weil kostenlos würd ich deswegen keinen Stern abziehen)

Sie hängt sich nicht auf allerdings überspringt sie manchmal das Übungsbeispiel.

Leider hängt sich die App gerade immer wieder auf und beendet das Training vorzeitig. Was nun?

Das Problem wurde geklärt! Es lag an einer instabilen Internet-Verbindung. Inzwischen läuft die App gut und ist täglich im Einsatz. :-)
