Manage your Tesla's sentry and dashcam recordings with AmSo Dashcam Viewer, the ultimate companion app for effortlessly browsing, searching, and managing your Sentry Mode and Dashcam recordings directly from your Mac, iPad, or iPhone device.

No more waiting to get to a computer to review a Sentry event. No more clunky interfaces. With AmSo Dashcam Viewer, you can plug your Tesla's USB drive directly into your phone (with an adapter) and gain immediate access to all your crucial footage.

Quickly free up space on your USB drive by deleting old or unnecessary recordings directly from the app. AmSo Dashcam even attempts its best to show partial/damaged records or ones where certain cameras failed.

This app requires a monthly subscription, an annual subscription, or a full in-app purchase before it can be used. For first time users a free 30 day trial is available as part of the in-app subscription.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.04 — 2025-12-19

This version includes a minor of small enhancements and some major ones for recording made on newer Teslas.

For Teslas with HW3 or newer (generally late 2019 and after) and running software 2025.44.25 or newer, it is now possible to scrub videos by location in addition to time. This makes going to specific places on the videos much easier. It also allows you to see information about controls, such as steering wheel and blinkers and a moving map. Video exports also support these features.

### 1.03 — 2025-10-20

This update includes a number of small changes and improved AI. Notable changes are:

• Street support. The later firmwares available for most Tesla vehicles by the manufacturer adds street information to video recordings. This app now uses that information.
• AI detection for most car models available in Northern America and/or Europe. 
• Improved AI detection for colors. While color detection is difficult on Teslas due to safety oriented cameras of different color spectrums, this version uses videos from different generations (HW2.5, 3.0, etc) to train for better results.
• Improved AI related searches. For example: While you can still search for truck or Ford alone, you can now search "Ford truck" to get instances where a vehicle was both a Ford and a truck. Or a "black Ford truck" to find the black ones.

This version includes a number of changes including a fix for video layouts, zoom in videos (select a view to expand, then use pinch on touch screen or touch input device), ability to cover license plates on video exports, ability to search videos by vehicle license plate, and a variety of smaller touchups.
