I paid the $10 and recommendations remained locked

### 4/5 — Most top ten lists require $8-13 fee

An app to vet restaurants is great. This app is easy to use and illustrated, but almost all lists cost between $8-13–this includes older lists. So, if you want to try 4 different types of restaurants, this app will cost you from $32–$52.  I understand the app maker needs to pay for meals and thus the fee, but just be aware before you download.

**Developer response:** Hi, your information about the price of the app is incorrect. You can download the 2023 edition of the app for free, including 2 free categories (there are 25 categories in total, each with a top 10). I have designed the app this way so people can browse through the app before purchase. This way they can get an impression of what they are going to buy. Each year I release a new edition, as is customary for restaurant guides. As mentioned in the app store, the 2023 edition of the app requires a one-time in-app purchase of €11.99 (around $13). After purchase you get access to all content of the 2023 edition (250 recommendations) and my restaurant reviews. There are no older lists, but there are previous editions. The 2023 edition is the third edition of the guide. Obviously, I would recommend to purchase the most recent edition, this way you will get the most up-to-date information about food & drink in Amsterdam. Hopefully this clarifies things.
