Didn't download this until after our first trip and don't know how we got around without it. While Amsterdam is quite compact we found the street names/canals to be difficult and confusing at first but this app is helped us plan our day out at out leisure. Adding the different coloured stars as we went along. us plan out in different coloured stars the places we want to see. We are already planning visit number four and already this is my number one reference point. ### 5/5 — Lifesaver on vacation *2016-11-20* I downloaded this app on a recent trip to Amsterdam and was so happy I did. Make sure you have enough room to download the articles as well, you can always delete after you're done with your trip if you need the memory on your phone. This app helped me navigate in Amsterdam, and gave me information about anything I wanted or needed. Since it was downloaded on my phone, it didn't matter that I wasn't connected to wifi and I didn't have to use pricey data. I definitely felt safer knowing I had this app on my phone. Got it for the rest of the cities on my trip too! ### 5/5 — Great App *2016-11-02, version 8.3.1* This app is great when abroad with limited wifi access. The map works offline so you can navigate yourself around the city without needing wifi or 4G. All attractions, restaurants etc can be pinned to the map too. Would have been lost without it! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Ruined *2025-07-12, version 2025.3* Totally ruined this app with the latest upgrade all my favourites have now gone unable to add places in unless they list them , used to be able to find a location on the map and click on it to add to favourites then use that to navigate to it no longer available . There is no option for any other option. ### 3/5 — Solid 3 stars *2013-04-07, version 5.2.1* This app is basically Wikipedia and an offline map - and so is handy if you want to avoid data roaming charges. The ability to bookmark locations and find points of interest nearby are also useful. If you're not too bothered about in-depth analysis of tourist attractions and are only visiting for one or two days, you might as well download it. It's probably worth 4 stars but I think it's reliability on Wikipedia is a bit lazy. A basic language-translation function and a bit more originality would make this series of travel apps much better. ### 3/5 — Useful Ap *2011-09-24, version 3.0.2* I used this in Amsterdam and found it quite useful. If there was a site you see while walking the city, a few key strokes and you get some background on it. I had difficulty getting GPS to work on iPhone 3 when not connected to wifi (AT&T cim card removed) but GPS did work on Paris Ap from same publisher. You still need a full size paper map, but this replaced a bulky guide book for my trip. Fix GPS and it would get another star. ### 3/5 — Decent maps, lacking some information *2010-09-22* I recently bought Ulmon Solutions Paris 2Go and was hugely impressed. The map is responsive and the included wikipedia pages are great. This version is also very responsive and has a fairly complete serchable database of streets, but the display of street names is lacking. For smaller streets or areas with a great number of streets, there is no zoom level that is sufficient to show all the street names. This makes it particularly difficult to locate streets in the Centrum. Also, this app lacks the ability to search for addresses. This is a real problem in Amsterdam where some streets such as the Herengracht can wrap all the way across the city. Additionally, not as many locations or wikipedia pages are included with this version. The low battery consumption, swift panning of map tiles, searchable database and excellent price make this app a winner, but some improvments could definitely be made to the display and search features. ### 3/5 — Cannot find a coffeeshop... *2009-12-10, version 0* I cannot use this app to find a certain address on the maps...
