Photograph any German official letter and understand it in your language in seconds. Names, numbers and addresses are replaced on your phone first, and you see exactly what was sent. A letter from the Finanzamt, the Ausländerbehörde, your health insurer, the Jobcenter, a court or a company: Amtwise tells you what it says, what you have to do and by when. • Deadlines first. The app finds the deadline, explains how it was calculated and sets a reminder or a calendar entry in one tap. • Your details stay on your phone. Text recognition and the removal of personal details happen on the device. Only the redacted text is sent, and "See what was sent" shows it word for word. The photo never leaves your phone. • Every claim shows its source. Each statement is checked against the letter's own wording; a statement that cannot be verified is not shown. • Your language. Explanations in English, Deutsch, Einfaches Deutsch, Русский, Українська, Türkçe, العربية, فارسی, Polski, Română, Español, Français, Italiano, Português, Български, Hrvatski, Srpski, Shqip, Tiếng Việt and 中文. • Free, no account, no ads. Letters stay on your phone until you delete them. Made for people who receive German mail they cannot read fluently: newcomers, international students, families, and anyone helping a parent or a friend with their post. Also useful when Amtsdeutsch is simply hard. How it works: scan the letter with the camera, or import a photo or a PDF. The app reads the text, replaces personal details and has the explanation written by an AI model on Google Cloud servers in the EU. Amtwise keeps no copy of it. Amtwise explains what a letter says. It does not check your individual case and is not legal or tax advice. When it matters, ask the sender or a professional. ## Key features - Photograph and translate German official letters - AI-powered explanation in multiple languages - Automatic redaction of personal data on-device - Deadline identification and reminder setting - Source verification for every statement - Import photos and PDFs ## Is Amtwise safe?
