## What is amux?

amux is an agent multiplexer that allows controlling your agents from anywhere. You can start a Claude Code agent on your laptop, go to the coffee shop and check in on the progress and approve permissions.

1. Ephemeral permission requests & questions. Permission requests and AskUserQuestion prompts no longer appear as chat messages. They now show as an ephemeral panel that replaces the input bar.
2. PostToolUse cards in chat. Tool use results (Edit, Write, Bash, Read, Glob, Grep, etc.) are rendered as collapsed/expandable cards.
3. Inline tool use lines with collapsible drawers: Replaced the bordered card components with compact inline status lines (filled dot → checkmark/X) and animated collapsible
  drawers. Added rich running-state summaries ("Reading main.rs..."), diff line number gutters, and dark mode fixes.
