### 5/5 — Great experience

*2026-01-27*

This app is very well thought out and super easy to use. Implements AI very well

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2026-01-14*

I’ve been looking for a good replacement for cal ai because I don’t like taking pictures of my food and thought I would give this a try. Amy is a great alternative plus as an aspiring developer I also enjoy watching Chris on YouTube!

### 5/5 — Love supporting an indie developer

*2026-01-12*

Ux is beautiful and intentional. Ai and evidence supporting it gives confidence and high quality data

### 5/5 — Exactly what I’m looking for

*2026-01-01*

Hope the app continues to be developed on. The value here for me is its SIMPLE. It’s like a notes app but everything else is taken care of you for. It doesn’t add a million features. Keep it simple but do it well!

### 5/5 — Pure simplicity

*2025-12-04*

The app feels so easy to enter food into. As for the other reviews, they were so early and didn’t seem to use the app. AI costs money and the dev is very open about this, even on his YouTube channel. Great work here. Plus I love the cats.

### 5/5 — Great app so far

*2025-12-02*

App works great and I have compared its accuracy to my current app, MyFitnessPal. Results were pretty accurate. Of course you need to provide details like the brand and the amount consumed to get more accurate results but definitely way less bloated than many competitors. Great work Chris! Feels different, works great, and does what it should. I would highly recommend anyone to give it a try and not to listen to the negative bot comments and competitors, you get a free trial, why not give it a shot? I’m sold

### 5/5 — Amy is amazing.

*2025-12-01*

Have loved using Amy as a beta tester! The app gets updates every week, accurate, and also just beautiful design that actually makes me look forward to using it.

### 5/5 — Incredible

*2025-11-26*

The utility here is that it’s simple nature invites long term use where other calorie tracking apps require way more effort to stick to. A great non-imagination replacing implementation of AI.

### 5/5 — Didn’t expect it to be this good

*2025-11-25*

Wow, this is exactly what I was looking for to lose weight. I love how simple it is to use.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Ai slop

*2026-06-25*

It’s super buggy, sometimes it is just stuck

### 1/5 — Does not load

*2026-05-27*

I just get a blank white screen? Can’t do anything.

### 1/5 — Can’t delete my account.

*2026-01-23*

I have logged in using apple auth and you are asking for a password while deleting the account how does this makes sense??

### 1/5 — Yet another app that gives you false information

*2025-11-30*

A.I can never be accurate on calories. So after logging a few meals it can be off by a lot! So you’re deluding yourself with this.

### 1/5 — Download only if you ready subscribe

*2025-11-26*

This is another of those scammy app which looks like freemium but not. App ask for signup and later to subscribe if you don’t you can’t use any single feature of the app. It didn’t even provide any way to delete my sign up data if I don’t subscribe.

### 2/5 — Not usable

*2026-04-30*

Hey mean, I know the app from your videos. Unfortunately on an iPhone 13 the app seems to be completely unusable. There’s lots of lags in the onboarding itself, like I barely can use the selects for weight & height etc. Not sure if it’s because of the animations (my first guess). Hope this helps :)

### 2/5 — Calories counting formula

*2025-12-04*

There might be a dangerous formula that counts your goal cal intake after taking all your data in consideration.

To me, the app suggested… 697 cal and then 944 cal per day (after I double-checked all my data and chose a higher activity level). The app says, that amount of daily cal intake

‘creates a 1000 calories deficit per day, which is a significant but achievable step towards your weight loss goal’.

So, it wants me to eat 1000 cal less and it gives me that atrocious advice if I don’t set a target date.

However, for a 6 months period it allows me to eat a bit more that 1000 cal, and for a year it generously gives me 1399 cals per day.

I see the math behind it but is it… even allowed? Especially, for an 9+ app?

Macros are questionable, too. Why is there almost twice more protein than carbs? Why so little carbs at all? Are those healthy amounts?

UPD: now it doesn’t count cal at all and gives me an error BUT the ‘Next’ button (that changes color to inactive on that page)… works. And now I’ve logged in with the last calculated target.

### 3/5 — No support

*2026-05-20*

I have recently messaged about two issues I have with the app and have received zero response to either and we haven’t received an update in a month. I’m hoping the app is still supported as it’s my go-to currently. Issues being:
1) no grouping foods together so you don’t see a long list and instead see “breakfast” “lunch” or whatever you label. This can also help stop accidentally deleting things when you go back to previous days (happens sometimes accidentally but no undo button).
2) if you eat the same food twice in one day with different serving sizes and you use the barcode scan OR label it as the same, the macros you put into the second serving will copy and overwrite onto the first serving. Obviously not wanted.

Thanks! Hope to see something soon!

### 4/5 — Great food tracking alternative

*2026-08-12*

I really like the concept of writing food entries into an app like I’m writing in Apple notes. It’s more natural than to enter food with only pictures like Cal AI. Giving it 4 stars because there are a few bugs that detract from an otherwise excellent experience

### 4/5 — makes calorie counting super easy <3

*2025-12-16*

I’m not one to be super meticulous about every morsel that goes into my mouth; my lookout was for an app where I could simply type in the foods/dishes I consumed through the day and something that would give me an idea of what my calorie intake/day may look like!

When I found Amy, the app, I couldn’t be happier about how seamless it made this whole calorie log activity! I also love that it gives a breakdown of protein/carbs/fat!

As a designer, I also really enjoy watching the little Amy illustrations throughout the app :)

It’s currently priced at INR 999/month which I think is on the steeper end (considering we have other ai apps that we are already paying for too);
What would be a great value add is if Amy can learn my diet patterns/eating habits and preferences, to suggest me remaining snacks or dishes for the day, something that perfectly meets my daily calorie goals — that would be of great aid too!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Game changer

*2026-08-14*

It’s super convenient and easy to log food when it’s like typing in apple notes. Surprisingly accurate, well designed, and adorable widgets!

### 5/5 — Best food tracker

*2026-07-29*

It’s simple, clean looking and easy to stick to over a longer time. Also it’s transparent about which sources were used and I can adjust if something feels off.

### 5/5 — Best Calorie Tracking App

*2026-06-04*

Much prefer it to Cal AI , seems more accurate for British food. Cal AI only uses American data even though they are different to UK

### 5/5 — I have been using this app for a week now

*2026-04-26*

I’m very impressed with the quality and how close it is in its calculations of calories and nutritional values. I used bite pal and fitness pal in the past but none of them were as exact. I love how simple it is to use and it’s become a simple habit to keep track of everything. I highly suggest giving this app a try 😁

### 5/5 — THE BEST calorie tracker

*2026-03-28*

What an amazing product! The core concept is spectacular on its own, and is further built on with equally awesome transparency, UI, convenience, etc. (And the cat theme!) Will be recommending to friends/family for sure!

### 5/5 — Flawless.

*2026-03-18*

Insanely good concept, brought to life insanely well! I discovered your TikToks and immediately fell in love with the app…literally felt like it was MADE for me.

I’m genuinely in love with the design, the simplicity, featureset and the transparency and ALL of that for a fair price. It’s exactly what I needed!!!!

Before this, every other calorie tracking app I tried felt way too complicated, confusing or overloaded with features I didn’t want or need. I ended up just logging everything in my notes app because that was simpler but it was so limited. This app takes that simplicity and turns it into something AMAZING. It’s smart, intuitive, and doing a ton of things at once while keeping it effortless 🥹

The accuracy is incredible and the way it tracks, organizes, and presents my data makes it easy to stay on top of my goals without feeling stressed or overwhelmed. Everything feels thoughtful from the interface to the little touches that actually make life easier. I can honestly say this app has completely changed how I track my calories, and it’s become an essential part of my daily routine.

Overall, I can only say thank you. This app is not just useful it’s a total lifesaver. It’s clear a lot of care went into it and it shows. I’m so impressed and I can’t imagine going back to anything else!!!!

### 5/5 — The only calorie tracking app that just works

*2026-02-25*

I’ve used many calorie tracking apps and all of them felt tedious to track. Amy is completely different and I’ve consistently tracked my food for multiple nights which I have never been able to do before.

### 5/5 — Finally food journaling that’s not a chore!

*2026-02-24*

I’ve honestly lost count of how many times and ways I’ve tried to do journaling, but given up on it because it ended up being more of an obstacle to my day than it needed to be. That’s why I’ve been so thrilled to find Amy. Using my camera or natural language to just show or describe my meals as I go through the day means I can be in and out the app in a few seconds, rather than spending minutes fighting with a cumbersome UI to log meal times and portions. Amy’s leveraging of AI to solve the frustrations of traditional food logging apps is honestly brilliant and I love using this app!

### 5/5 — Love the addition to detail

*2026-02-11*

Very simple yet very powerful love there cat animations as well the ai can be a bit off though

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2026-02-02*

Honestly, I have nothing to say. Other than some features being unstable sometimes, the app is amazing. I’ve tried Cal AI and that didn’t work as seamlessly as Amy does. With Amy, I can check how the AI makes its decision and it makes me so much more confident I’m tracking the right way. Lastly, the dev and the designer put so much work into the app and it effortlessly looks personal! If Apple made a calorie tracking app!
