## What is Amya?

The private family locator for iPhone: location only your family sees — end-to-end encrypted, free, with no location history.

Amya+ adds turn-by-turn navigation to a person — the route re-plots as they move — and puts your family on your Apple Watch.

Know they're okay. Without being watched.

See where your people are, when they got there and whether they're on the move — without giving an advertising company a map of your family's life.

Your family's location is end-to-end encrypted. Not even Amya can see it. No ads. No selling your data. No behavioural tracking.

And the important stuff stays free.

Live location. Places. Arrivals and departures. Expectations. Come Get Me. Flight landings. Multiple families, Trips and guests. No subscription required.

YOUR PEOPLE, AT A GLANCE

Open Amya and know.

• See everyone who's sharing with you on one calm, private map
• Know whether they're home, moving or somewhere else
• See "At Home for 2h" — where they are, and since when
• See how fresh every location is at a glance

PLACES & EXPECTATIONS

Less checking. Less texting.

• Save Home, School, Grandma's — wherever matters
• Get gentle arrival and departure alerts
• Pick a home and get a heads-up when someone's nearly there
• Expect someone "home by 6" and hear nothing unless they're not there

COME GET ME — FREE

Need picking up? One tap.

Come Get Me turns your location into a beacon and rings the family. Whoever's free can answer "On my way" and come get you.

Come Get Me is free. Always.

FAMILY ISN'T ONE SHAPE

• Have Home, Mum's, Grandad — whatever family looks like for you
• Create a Trip for a holiday, festival or weekend away
• Bring Grandma into Home for the weekend with a guest pass that expires automatically

KIND TO YOUR BATTERY

Together? Your phones don't all need to work.

Amya's Piggyback mode lets nearby family phones share the location workload, helping the others save battery.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

Your family's location belongs to your family.

• End-to-end encrypted
• Amya can't read your family's location
• No ads
• No behavioural tracking
• No selling your data
• No location history — Amya shows where your people are now, never where they've been
• Your family's key can ride your iCloud Keychain, so a new iPhone keeps your family — end-to-end encrypted by Apple, and no location ever goes there
• Go Dark when you want a moment off the map

THE IMPORTANT STUFF STAYS FREE

Knowing they're okay is free — in the app and in every alert. Getting to them, and having Amya outside the app, is Amya+.

Nav straight to them Full turn-by-turn navigation whose destination is a person — even while they're moving. Try it free on any journey before you decide.

Find them on foot When you're close, follow the arrow — green when you face them — and close the gap. Inside the last 150 metres the map lays flat with both of you on it — how far, and which side.

Answer Come Get Me Tap "On my way" and Amya takes over — with navigation and a live ETA for the person waiting.

Amya outside the app Who's home as a ring on your Lock Screen — one ring per place you choose — and automatic minutes-from-home ETAs. Nothing is held back — open Amya and it's all there, free.

One small monthly subscription covers the whole family — the organiser subscribes, everyone's covered — and a subscription of your own goes with you into any family or Trip. It shares with your Apple family too. First week free.

SUPERCHARGE AMYA WITH TESLA

Drive a Tesla? Connect it in Settings (Amya+). While you're in the car your family sees where you're heading, when you'll arrive and the charge, with a red ring while you drive. Only while your phone is aboard — never the car on its own — and sealed to your family like everything else.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.7.4 — 2026-10-30

The knock. Find's chip only works while Amya is open on both phones, so when you Find someone whose phone is in their pocket, it now tells them once, "Finding you · open Amya", and one tap is all the chip needs. Only within 250 m, once per Find, never from someone they've muted, and taken back the moment you stop. Ignore it and nothing changes.

"Home alone" says just that. The line used to carry the time at Home, which read as the time alone.

Plus everything from 1.7.3: Find points on iPhone 15 and later, the dots exact, the person you're finding exact wherever they are, a smoother convoy, every sense explained.

### 1.7.3 — 2026-10-29

Find points on iPhone 15 and later. The newer Ultra Wideband chip measures how far, not which way. To point the arrow, Find borrows the camera as a motion sensor on your phone: it watches how your phone moves through the room and works out where the other phone must be. No picture is shown, saved or sent; move the phone a little for the first few seconds. Asked once, the first time you Find someone, never when someone Finds you.

The dots tell the story, exactly. Dormant round the ring from afar; waking as the chip hears how far, on just the part of the ring that matters (the whole ring when they're far, a narrowing arc as you close); swaying together when the phone wants a little movement; gathering along the arrow when it knows which way; into the middle when you're together. A reading that goes quiet is never drawn as live.

Exact wherever they are. The person you're finding helps in the last 250 m, their phone's GPS live until the chip takes over, and at Home too: their real spot in the garden, not the house's pin.

A smoother convoy. Two cars travelling together no longer judder once a second on the map.

Every sense explained. Settings > Amya's senses now lists Nearby Interaction and the camera, with a "Why Amya asks" row that says what each one is for.

### 1.7.1 — 2026-10-27

Two ways to reach someone. Navigate to is the drive: the route, and the family told you're on the way. Find is on foot and quiet: nothing shared, the compass finder opened straight from their row. No more walk/car switch inside the sat-nav; you choose from the drawer.

The last few metres, exact. On iPhone 11 and later, Find uses the Ultra Wideband chip once you're close: the distance to the metre, and which way when it can tell. Both phones need Amya open, and each asks once for Nearby Interactions. The dots round the ring tell the story: dormant from far away, waking as the chip hears how far, gathering along the arrow when it knows which way, and into the middle when you're together.

A better drive. The arrow follows the words, so a left turn never wears a right arrow; roundabouts as a number in a circular arrow; the screen stays on; an arrival time that tracks traffic; the next turn on your Lock Screen, in the Dynamic Island and on the car's screen; a glance at the whole route before the sat-nav view takes over.

Roomier rows, and the map centres on what it draws.

### 1.6.26 — 2026-10-26

Connecting a Tesla asks for every box. Tesla's sign-in page lets you untick what Amya can read, and remembers it, so a second try could fail with "Couldn't reach Tesla's servers" when the servers were fine. It now asks again for anything left unticked, and if something is still refused the card says exactly what.

One stop, one arrival. Two places right next to each other, a cafe and the shop next door, could announce an arrival at each as the phone made up its mind. Now a stop at either is one arrival, and the map shows the one it settled on.

Heading home. When your Tesla is routed to Home, or you tap Navigate to Home in Amya, the family hears it once as you set off, with the minutes. Home only. It goes out once the whole family is on 1.6.22 or later, so turn on automatic updates.

### 1.6.25 — 2026-10-24

One stop, one arrival. Two places right next to each other, a cafe and the shop next door, could announce an arrival at each as the phone made up its mind. Now a stop at either is one arrival, and the map shows the one it settled on.

Heading home. When your Tesla is routed to Home, or you tap Navigate to Home in Amya, the family hears it once as you set off, with the minutes. Home only. It mutes with the Nearly home switch, a muted Home or a muted person. It goes out once the whole family is on 1.6.22 or later, so turn on automatic updates.

The last road counts down. On the final road of a Navigate to, the banner's distance and "to go" now count down to the person the whole way, measured along the road.
