We need a little help here!!! ### 1/5 — App Freezes Up *2014-10-11* Ever since the switch to iOS8, the app has not worked. It freezes up immediately upon opening. I have tried rebooting, closing and reopening the app, deleting and reinstalling it... Nothing but a frozen screen. Everything else in my iPad works fine. I downloaded the app to utilize it and it will only let me login. Just sits on the loading screen. First impression is that it is WAY outdated. They need to hire developers who can make an app like any other newspaper agency. This app is as old as the auto industry and not catching up with the times. If you don’t like paper newspapers, then don’t download this app, because it’s a paper newspaper on a device making you flip pages with small font so you need to zoom in. A joke ### 1/5 — Frustrating App user experience *2019-09-07, version 4.8.12* Loyal reader, but extremely frustrated with user experience in the app. - Zoom function does not work. - Expanding articles in search of readable font crashes the app. - have to always re-log with username and password ### 1/5 — Poorly designed news app, do not download *2018-08-04* One of the less intuitive apps in the news market. Layout is awkward and unintuitive to use. Ads are extremely invasive and won’t disappear. They completely cover the actual news articles and can’t be removed or turned off. A Hugh disappointment to have this app. Please look at leading main stream media apps for help. ### 1/5 — Pile of garbage! *2017-06-07* Don't waste your time downloading this app, its horrible. Even if you can get it to work, the app is garbage. I think someone's kid might have created this. Also, when attempting to enlarge the text on the screen, the screen gets very blurry. This app is almost useless! ### 2/5 — Worked Well before iOS 10 *2016-11-22* Loved this app before the new iOS. Never crashed and was great to read when I didn't have my paper version with me. Now it is terrible! Almost always crashes on nearly all of the issues. It will crash at the same page on an issue every time once you've hit it. Not the same page for each issue - just the same each time for an issue. I'm ready to delete it and just read my paper copies from now on. Very disappointing for a great resource and not an inexpensive one to boot. Do the developers hear us? Fix it please. ### 2/5 — App crashes often *2016-10-07* App crashes several times with in an hour of use. Latest seems to be on page 21. For a $159 subscription the app should work with no issues. Not to mention it is a canned app used on other magazines. We are too far along in the digital world to have basic issues like this. ### 2/5 — Very basic *2015-11-18* Just got this app because I love the publication. The app is too basic though. It is basically an image of the pages of the magazine. If an article is continued on a later page you have to "thumb through" to get to it. I have newspaper apps where you merely touch the article and it opens up. You can't enlarge the font, instead you have to expand the entire image. I feel like I'm reading this on a 1990's PC. ### 2/5 — Still glitchy *2015-01-03* App crashes too frequently and doesnt display all downloaded issues. These were holdovers from the previous version that still havent been fixed.
