### 5/5 — Comprehensive yet focused.

*2024-12-28*

I have created a shadow analemma using my backyard patio and the corner of an eve of my house. It has been 6 months of study and observation to get my mind around why the analemma even exists…and it repeats year after year. This app has helped me in that observation. It is life changing to understand the analemma and having it in a focused app like this is very helpful. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Wonderful tool for orbital database

*2020-06-04*

I am fascinated with orbital mechanics and the apps that teach directly or via sandbox, even games to a lesser extent. This is great for your 1st app or, in my case, 25th-40ish app I learn a number of great facts that were so interesting I couldn’t believe I hadn’t caught some details before. It’s interactive. This app makes this topic more interesting than other educational apps on this topic and it is so comprehensible. If you grasped the words meanings then I believe you could have a understanding of orbital mechanics with this app alone, once you’d properly set these lessons to memory, at the worst, you could need google a reference or two. Congrats to the maker. You are a teacher I bet & a great one at that. I was so impressed with the thoroughness I dl all your apps. 😇

### 3/5 — Great info, needs refining

*2019-06-03*

Interesting and informative; a great astronomy lesson. However, the media overlaps the screen starting in the second section, and it needs some proofreading. (There’s an its/it’s error in section 1.)

### 1/5 — This is crap

*2017-10-29*

Does not display on the screen properly. Much of the display is beyond the right side of the screen and can’t be viewed.

### 5/5 — Very informative

*2016-09-24*

The author has taken great care to make an esoteric concept very accessible. Highly educational!

### 5/5 — Good info on a narrow subject

*2013-04-16*

Remember the figure 8 you used to find in the Pacific Ocean on a globe? That's an example of an analemma. Granted, most people aren't going to get into this subject, but this app does a great job of explaining and illustrating the analemma, not only for earth but other astronomical bodies. The causes of the noon sun not always appearing directly south are explained, and the movie snips help one to visualize what is going on to create the analemma, which is essentially the graph of the sun's position over a year.

Would like to see this available on the iPhone as well. Good job!

### 5/5 — Nice, the French meaning

*2011-08-17*

I didn't like the word, "nice" much till I learned where it came from - niche - which means notch. Something was "nice" when it was a perfect fit. It is a much more clear and powerful word than oft used. Well, Analemma is a nice program, a perfect fit, for understanding in a much deeper way how our planet (and others) moves around the sun. It is clear, tells you what you need to know and not what you don't need to know! Nice! It has splendid graphics that are not over done. They are crisp and clear, just what is needed to get the concept. The author(s) exaggerate! The show a few more degrees to help demonstrate the concepts. Again, perfectly suited to get the gist of it all. While it is comprehensive it is also short and to the point, with easy navigation. It does it's job, used movies well and even has a calculator. I am interested in the stars and planets, in physics and in practical applications. I will be returning to this app over and over just to enjoy getting the concepts really in my mind as I explore what it means in my daily life. We live in Alaska so the sun is never "as it should be" but wow! It is so much more!

So, high kudos to the author(s) for their job well done. And a tip of the hat to Galileo Galilei! Nice! (The church in Pisa moved in analemma I believe!)

### 5/5 — Great!

I'm doing a GCSE Astronomy course and the Equation of Time is really important. I'd recommend this to anyone doing an astronomy course.
 Best of all it's free!
