Removed the app from my devices. ### 1/5 — Useless *2024-02-21, version 2.0* This app doesn’t do anything. You have to add all your cameras and fill rolls manually, which is tedious only to access the light meter, which, by the way, doesn’t work at all. Also the app has no instructions on how to use it all all. Worthless. Don’t use this app. ### 2/5 — Not quite useful *2025-02-14* Sadly, my tried and true application for logging film no longer is compatible with the modern iPhones. So I had to find a alternative. This app seems to be the best option to all of the other apps like it on the store, but I still have problems with it. The speed and aperture settings when logging exposures is faulty and buggy and will consistently ask me to enter in a custom aperture or shutter speed. I also needed this app to have a note section that I can easily write onto. At the moment, you have to go back into each individual picture and add a note under it, this takes too much time feature. I’m hoping that these changes could be made and this could be a really valuable application. ### 3/5 — Nice interface. Shame no export *2021-04-25, version 1.2* A nice interface with good editing features. A shame there’s no export to CSV though, this would be great for importing to spreadsheet or Lightroom. Maybe in a future version... ### 4/5 — Simple and perfect *2025-09-17, version 2.41* It does what it needs to do flawlessly, simple, straight to the point. I’m missing a couple of features, like the ability to duplicate rolls. But mainly being able to log focal lengths greater than 300mm. Quite shocking this is is not a given. ### 5/5 — Big Amusement *2024-11-11* The app is really helpful. I like very much the fact that I can use it on my iPhone and my iPad with the data being synced in the iCloud. ### 5/5 — Instructions would be handy *2024-10-19, version 2.2* EDIT to my previous - upgraded review. It turns out that what you do is; open the light meter, choose either your aperture or shutter speed, take the shot. The light meter then ‘corrects’ the exposure and you can then take the shot with your camera and save the settings. Quite nifty and tallies with the camera each time. So it is a decent light meter but Nossoflex could add some instructions. It would be incredibly helpful and save from getting bad reviews through negligence! * There are no instructions anywhere to explain how the light meter works if it does. The record keeping aspect of the app is useful. The developers seem to be much more interested in their acronym rather than actual functionality of the app. Which is a shame. Simple instructional videos wouldn’t take long to make or upload on the website and Insta which are far more accessible than Discord. ### 5/5 — Indispensable app for quick and easy logging *2024-03-26, version 2.1* I use this app whenever I shoot film, and have logged almost 200 rolls with it since July 2021. It does require some setting up — you have to add cameras and lenses to enable you to start logging rolls. But in the long run, this saves a lot of time. Whether or not you find this app useful depends largely on how much you value “metadata” for your analogue shots. I’ve found it very handy for a number of things: a) While shooting, the light meter acts as an additional tool to check my exposures. I don’t find it entirely predictable or reliable (which is true of every iPhone light meter I’ve tried), so I don’t rely on it, but it does give me a useful “second opinion”. b) When I receive film from the lab, sorting it digitally and physically to match my filing system can be tedious, and having a quick digital reference for each shot on a roll lets me know what to rename the files I receive. c) If I want to know what settings I’ve used for a given shot, I can easily go back in my logs to check, which lets me learn from my experience in a more quantifiable, tangible way. Overall, logging my shots has helped me understand my equipment and lenses better, sped up my filing workflow, and added metadata to images that is normally not available when shooting film, including location. There are certainly additional features and improvements I’d like to see, but the team behind the app are responsive and creative, and I have no doubt that there’s more to come from this great little tool that I use all the time. Thanks folks! ### 5/5 — Good Basic App. *2024-02-19* Good simple app. No way to edit camera name once added. I wish there was a more direct link to capture the light meter data to the shot entry. **Developer response:** Thanks for the review! You can swipe left on the cameras to edit them. Works for most things in the app. As for the light meter, you can access this directly from the home page and then choose which roll you’re metering. If you still have confusion, join the discord and we can help you out! ### 5/5 — More than I could have asked for! *2021-07-21* All I wanted was a simple log book to keep track of exposure. But this app right off the bat is easy to use and will allow me to meter and even look back on old rolls.
