### 2/5 — Please fix bug

*2026-02-23*

Helpful except lately when i go to look at finished rolls the app crashes. Every single time

**Developer response:** Very sorry to hear that - I released an update last week, let me know if the issue persist!

### 4/5 — Very Nice

*2025-12-27*

The app is cool. I feel like it is missing a few things.

I can’t find a way to change/unload a film once loaded. The only option I see it to change the loaded date, but I can’t change the camera it’s loaded in.

I wish there was a way to add a small note/annotation to rolls. Some additional info about where it was shot and what lens was used would be nice.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback! Adding notes to loaded rolls will come in the next update.
Since the last update you’re able to unload/remove a loaded film. That will add it back to the inventory.

### 5/5 — Greatest app ever

*2025-12-25*

I’ve been tracking my film via a spreadsheet on my phone. This is so much better!

### 5/5 — Wonderful app

### 5/5 — Great and needed app

*2025-11-29*

Would love to see more film stocks and little less confusing to add 35mm and 120 of the same stock. Keep up the great work

### 5/5 — Amazing app

*2025-11-27*

Brilliant

### 5/5 — A convenient tool for film photography lovers

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.4 — 2026-08-14

Scan packaging barcodes
On Add Film, tap Scan barcode and point the camera at the barcode on a film box. If the pack is recognized, FilmStock prefills manufacturer, name, type, and ISO, and adds the rolls or sheets in that package - for example, a new Portra 400 pro-pack adds 5 rolls at once. About 70+ packaging codes are included so far, mostly 120 and 35mm, plus others including 4x5. More will be added later.

Scan 35mm canisters
You can also scan the DX barcode on the side of a 35mm can. That prefills the film and adds one 35mm roll (quantity 1), with the exposure count from the barcode when it can be read.

Packaging lookup and canister DX lookup both only match films FilmStock currently lists. Cine/respool stocks without a DX code, boxes we don’t have a barcode for yet, and films we don’t list yet need to be entered by hand.

### 2.2 — 2026-04-14

- Added the new Kodak Ektacolor and Ektapan film-cards
- You can now group your film list by manufacturer and ISO speed
- Fixed several smaller bugs

### 2.1 — 2026-03-30

Several bugs fixed:
- For some users the finished rolls tab was not accessible after the update to version 2.0. This should be fixed now
- Improved the sheet film features, now with separate expiry dates and frozen tags
- The finished date can now be edited after a roll has been finished

### 2.0 — 2026-03-04

Major V2.0 update alert!

This one is a big update. The way how films and rolls are stored is completely reworked. You can now:
- Set dedicated expiry dates, comments and exposure counts for individual rolls
- Bulk-add rolls and spooled rolls
- Add a format to your camera that will be auto-selected when loading a film in the app
- Beta: Import and export your whole inventory via CSV or Json file
- The film card library now has a search, a lot easier to navigate through the 100+ custom film cards
- Accidentally loaded a roll? Now you can remove it and it will get added back to your inventory

Some smaller fixes and improvements:
- The issue that sometimes edits made in the film don't immediately appear in the list is now fixed
- Fixed issue that the film manufacturer could not be changed after adding
- You can now re-open the "Whats new in this version" pop-over from the setting menu
- Lots of smaller fixes in layout and translations

### 1.6 — 2026-02-18

Fixed minor issues including:
- The table view now respects custom formats selected in the settings, scroll horizontally on the row to see all formats.
- Added sorting and filtering for finished rolls
